I noticed this tag on the personal ads post and i’m bummed to see someone is feeling that way
i am totally aware that tumblr and this blog’s demographics skew Western, but I know for a fact that it’s not exclusively. a couple years ago I did a survey of followers and there definitely were people from every part of the world. i also have had a tiny bit of code on my blog theme that picks up visits to the blog - now this isn't perfect, because not everyone actually goes to farmerlesbian.tumblr.com, most people probably stay on their tumblr dash, whether on a computer or a mobile app, but it does show a small sampling of where people are looking at the blog from - and it has always shown visits from across the globe.
you absolutely can and should participate! a lot of the personals so far have been from people in the west but not all, and it doesn’t have to be. by no means do you have to send in a personal ads post, but if you are wanting to, you really should think about it! the ads don't even have to be in english. these personals ads are for YOU i promise. if you want to and are comfortable sending in a personal, you should go for it. i am sure you’re not the only one thinking it isn’t for you. it is. personals are for all of us, everywhere.
