it truly is cringe to rely on chatgpt for anything tho. like whats the purpose of your life if you cant even be assed to make a grocery list. or think. or do anything. u people cant do anything, can u?
I hate AI too but this commentary is starting to get into the ableist territory. Like Ai helping someone meal plan who has depression, executive dysfunction and/or any number of disabilities or illnesses that make some tasks difficult for them are not the enemy. That’s actually a great example of how AI could be a useful tool without hurting people’s livelihoods.
Ai scraping the internet of all human creativity, ingenuity and spitting it back out in some Frankensteinian amalgamation and slapping a price tag on it—that’s the enemy.
Ai books and book art over saturating the self-publishing book industry and crowding out human author’s who’ve spent years writing and editing their debut novel—that’s the enemy.
Movie studios permanently stealing actor’s faces, voices and likenesses in perpetuity to do whatever the fuck they want with it—that’s the enemy.
Deepfakes so realistic you can’t tell if it’s real or fake other than by context clues that Obama is probably not walking into a corner store with an AR-15 and knocking it over for the cash drawer. —That’s the fucking enemy by god.
As we move into a more virtual based society where we consume most of our media and news from virtual sources and algorithms powered by Ai to target specific demographics with specific emotional cues and distractions to create trends in behaviors that are predictable and controllable —THAT. IS. THE. ENEMY.
It is not the dysfunctional ADHD person using ChatGPT to help manage their grocery list.
