i'm happy that ryan asked to be more included in the immigrant storyline. i think there's a chance we wouldn't even have seen the ice scene if he didn't ask for it (i might be wrong, but i don't think i am), and that is 10x more important than having a buddie/theo/chris scene.

i just don't understand why it had to be 'this or that'? like, couldn't tim involve eddie in both storylines? from what ryan said, i think he is onboard with eddie being a huge part of the buck and theo story (in his words, eddie has a 'new kid' that might need him so…).

but anyway, if tim is telling the truth, then next season will be a feast for us: eddie's involvement with theo, the stabbing actually not being pointless and something that will affect eddie… i just hope this bald man isn't lying again

the questions were REALLY good (thanks max gao!!) and ryan's answers were even better. he's really honest about everything. about eddie, christopher, buddie, theo. and he says something really important about ICE and the reality we're in.

i was dooming a little because oliver's answers seemed a bit like damage control, but this interview gave me hope and managed my expectations at the same time (especially about buddietheo).

one thing they got right in the season finale, if we think about it, is eddie being alone, bleeding, and nobody noticing he wasn't there.

they were hugging each other like a family while eddie was still stuck. that's basically what's been happening for a long time now.

eddie is alone. he is not part of the 118 family and the show has been making it clear.

he is there for them, but they never are there for him. (like athena said: 'this isn't about you.')

he only had bobby and buck; now he only has buck (and even that isn't the same. their friendship isn't the same).

i thought that with him and hen being closer things would change, but i was wrong.

has anyone ever thought of buddie as a queerplatonic relationship?

we ship them, so we obviously want them to be in a romantic relationship (at least in my case), but if we only consider canon they have basically been in a canon queerplatonic relationship for the last 8 years

(i'm not an expert in queerplatonic relationships, so bear with me if i'm wrong)

and one day buck asks him HOW he got theo to listen, because he's been trying to make him sit down for hours and eddie did it in minutes eddie just smiles at him and says he’s been doing this for the past 9 years, and buck is just like "but chris is 16??" and gets even more confused when eddie just laughs at him

we had a lot of parallels between Eddie/Chris and Buck/Theo this episode so what if Buck actually stays with Theo and next season the opening emergency is a natural disaster where Eddie saves Theo?

it might look a bit like they are reheating nachos, BUT it would make sense with all the parallels they are making (and honestly who cares anymore they could open a restaurant with all the nachos they reheated this season). it would be a way to show that Eddie's place in Theo's life is the same as Buck's in Chris's life and that they are truly buddie babies

people will look you dead in the eye and say that they know eddie diaz better than anyone and then proceed to say he doesn't like kids besides christopher, never self-harmed and has anger issues

i’m a buddie shipper but first and foremost i’m an eddie girl

i would watch an eddie diaz spin-off of 911 every single day and give a 10/10 rating to every episode even if it was just keeping up with him

so... if a storyline makes him become just a character there for buck’s sake, like we saw happen many times, then i will not like it. it doesn't matter if it ends with buddie canon

one of the things i liked the most about ep 16 was the way it showed eddie being the most involved and defensive about the immigrants' situation and now i know this only happened because ryan asked for it.

i’m really happy that ryan is eddie. the way he talks about him, the way he plays him, the things he asks for (story wise) shows how much he loves this character and how he knows him so well.

but it’s actually maddening that he had to ask for this. you have a character that is the son of an immigrant, a character that just had an episode talking about him connecting to his community, and you really didn't think about making him an integral part of this storyline before the actor asked you??? are we being fr?
