You can fall in love with anybody if you imagine waking up next to them on a pale pink morning. You can fall in love with anybody if you imagine you are the one in love with them. You can fall in love with anybody, But that doesn’t mean staying. You can fall in love with anybody, But that doesn’t mean making it work. You can fall in love with anybody, That doesn’t mean anybody can fall in love with you. https://www.instagram.com/p/CI-uR18Fmns/?igshid=3qgd052gqukw
What is your favorite genre to read? I love a well done fiction, but I’ve also been into essays lately. (Sigh the ig crop) https://www.instagram.com/p/CI8ISYzFTEl/?igshid=1omqtgpqjzpjw
2 things I love: 1. The whole sky and all it’s colors!! I love the way it’s new every morning and always changing. Colors like this cannot be beaten. 2. Words. More specifically, words that speak about soul feelings and being alive. Writing or reading them, I know I am found. (at The Indie Club) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIqL0tjFGlN/?igshid=1jgyb8pov73fh
This is the Voice Telling You: It gets better. It gets better. It gets better. https://www.instagram.com/p/CIiauamF4J2/?igshid=va6xpn6ovqno
At Sunrise and in Fear: I spread myself thin And ask why 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑜 𝑚𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝑚𝑒. There’s never a straight answer I learn to make my own up Out of tissue paper and misunderstanding. Now it’s morning I wish I hadn’t made the answers and I wish you had given me real ones. I say into a cold cup of tea 𝐿𝑒𝑡 𝑚𝑒 𝑔𝑜. This spoke to me and I wanted other people to see it and feel it too. Life is a hard and bumpy road but we have to look for the green and the things that matter along the way. https://www.instagram.com/p/CINynkQlF-5/?igshid=yli4gpt05xrp
5 Things to do When You Have a Creative Block: 1. Look at the last thing that made you inspired. Mood boards are inspiring! Whether that was a picture, someone else’s post (don’t copy!), or listening to a song. As long as it pushes you to create and doesn’t just distract. 😌 2. Sit down and try. Set a mood for yourself! Sometimes it takes making yourself work through the uncomfortable phase to get the gears grinding again. 3. Read a book you love. For me I always go back to a poetry collection or The Book Thief by @markuszusak as that is the kind of writing I would like to emulate. Also, jot down words or phrases that speak to you to reread later😉. 4. Talk to someone. A parent, a friend, reaching out to someone in your online community. There are people who support and believe in you and sometimes you just need a reminder. 5. Take the time you need to. If today isn’t an inspired day that’s okay. Some days aren’t. You can find another area to be productive in and come back when you have that spark back. That’s the beauty of creativity. You can always come back. https://www.instagram.com/p/CIBcnJVl5PL/?igshid=prha34gft9ma
When Love Begins—> swipe for poem I chose that name for my first book because I knew when I thought of it that it would mean something. I kept it as my own secret phrase until it was time to write the poem for the last page. When Love Begins, darkness ends. When Love Begins, poetry lives. When Love Begins, I come home. When Love Begins, When Love Begins, When Love Begins. (at The Last Page) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHDBukUl8WH/?igshid=1bn3mkewcentt
It’s done. Your manuscript is finished. A WIP no longer. What now? Do you look for affordable agents and well known publishing houses? Do you go to Amazon or another self-publishing site? I chose the second. I was 16. I had stayed up all summer writing and piecing together When Love Begins. I didn’t know anything about the world I was stepping into. And if you’re as lost as I was, here are 3 things I learned self-publishing: 🖋You will lose sleep First you’ll lose sleep writing when the moment is right, and then later, wondering if you did something crazy. You did. Something crazy and amazing. Love and support from the people around you help, but it’s your own personal writing journey. Don’t forget to look around and enjoy it. 🖋It’s an investment Even though self-publishing is nowhere near as expensive as the traditional route, it’s still an investment of time and money. It can be really challenging to take the step of believing that other people will find value in what you’ve produced. But they will. There’s a place for everything. You may not end up on the New York Time’s bestselling, but you will reach people and they will love your words. 🖋It’s very possible You can do it! It looks like a giant mountain at the beginning, but one step after another, you reach the top. And when you look back, the next month, the next year, you can say, “I did that. And I did it myself.” And there’s nothing I know that can replace that. (at The Indie Club) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGSKi5iFmpN/?igshid=1ep7rnk708hul
I’m starting to make myself have time for writing again, and it feels good. I’m older now then when I wrote WLB, and I can’t stay up until all night or take hours sorting through notebooks. The different places we find ourselves. I can still scribble the little sparks of inspiration down. I can still make myself focus when there’s time. I can still write and write well. I can still ask myself to find the beauty in changing seasons. These are some words that remind me to just that. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGFZM-ilzGb/?igshid=fzvz8mm398ww
Find When Love Begins in the local authors section at The Prologue Bookshop & The Bookloft of German Village!¡! ••• Who ever knew the words I wrote in my bedroom at 4am would be on shelf for other peoples actual eyes eek 🙈🙃😦🍉✨📖💐 (at Columbus, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CF8JCYMlFkt/?igshid=1fgzcdlfjlj7n
From Grey, When Love Begins ••• I’m not sure if hitting milestones (i.e. self publishing a book) makes me more hopeful for the other things I’ll accomplish in my life or if it makes me afraid that my highlight is already past. That might sound stupid at eighteen, but I know there’s so much I want to do. Life gets busy and people move on. I have to choose which goals are the most important. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFzZJ6gFk5Q/?igshid=ga5d7ubxdesm

“We have tried too hard to make the wounded feel loved, and in turn, have made the whole feel left out and imperfect in their perfection. Ugliness is beauty. Beauty is unwanted.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CFhaAHPFrjO/?igshid=1vdmyr8z73l23
