I gotta say I like the addition they add to Spider-Noir, that he developed the physical mannerisms of a Spider when mutated and that he had to relearn how to act/mask like a normal human. Only letting his guard down and letting the spider side physically take over when hes alone or simply too exausted to keep the act up.

I dunno maybe my austistic ass is reading too much into it but I think its neat way to distance Reilys Spider-Man from the others and adds to his character.

My Mom Makes AI Music About Herself

Recently, my mom started making ai music with one of those websites. I have told her countless times that she should just make her own music, even if it sounds bad. She could learn a new instrument, she has a great voice, dad plays the drums, it would be a fun activity for her and her husband to do together. She has ignored me every time, come up with excuses about why she can't because it's hard, or straight up acted like she couldn't hear me. We've had plenty of arguments about AI art in the past year or so.

I told her about the environmental effects of AI, and she retorted with "everything has a cost".

One thing I'm pleased with is the fact that she's politically progressive.

Some of the music is thoughtful. Lyrics about the African revolution, the effects of slavery, complimenting the revolutionaries fighting back against oppressive systems.

But a lot of her music, most of it, is self-flagellating egotistical trash. She writes lyrics about how great of a person she is and has an AI sing it to her. How hard motherhood is, but how she's doing a great job. Lyrics about how she's God's chosen one.

It's genuinely fucking creepy. I've watched her brain deteriorate as she creates the metal walls of an echo chamber that tells her that she can do no wrong. I've watched her communication skills slowly fall apart. She was a volatile woman before, now she just shuts down.

It's really, really fucking weird.

I refuse to drive her or with her anywhere because she only ever plays her own AI music. She walks around the house playing it from her phone. I haven't heard her listen to music made by real people- or anyone besides herself and this AI- in months.

A little bit of background: whenever I think about my mother in my childhood and how mean and snarky she was to me, I want to cry. She was my first bully, my biggest hater, she made me so self conscious, just like her mother did to her. I'm sure she was a better sister than she was a mother. I'm sure she is a better aunt than she is a mother. She's not the worst mother in the world but she made me hate making art. I think she was always a little jealous, and I think it's manifesting in this... thing that I can't pull away from her.

The effects are already too great. These are the man made horrors that Nikola Tesla was telling us about.

actually i change my mind. genderfluid animal is mentioned a second time when dr teeth is calling for instrument and mic checks, he turns to animal and yells "animal! pronoun check!" "HE/HIM" "alright!"
