ANCESTRAL WITCHES IN SIMS 4
Based on my headcanons
1 - Before receiving powers from the Dark Phoenix, in my understanding, they weren't always the old women depicted in canon. At first, they were ordinary people with their own problems and pursuits. Based on their images, one could basically assume they were all from different planets, each with its own foundations and traditions.
2 - After receiving powers from the Phoenix, they are just beginning their reign, exploring their abilities and creating magic, which will later become the defining magic of witches. However, it evolves, and witches won't "decay" from dark magic, as happened with the Three Witches, according to my headcanons.
3 - The period of wars and Magix's rule, the appearance of dragon riders, orcs, and other creatures that serve the Three Witches.
4 - The creation of the Cloud Tower, the spread of magic and the emergence of new witches, the decay progresses.
5 - The creation of Valtor, the creation of full-fledged covens (the period of service for Griffin and the other witches, like Mandragora and Morra (the shaman witch, who in my heads is a servant of three witches).
6 - Now dragonfire comes into play. When the witches found the spark of dragonfire, they were not yet obsessed with stealing it. They created Valtor as an experiment, trained it as a weapon, and saw what it was capable of. Plus, dragonfire mixed with darkness prevented it from decaying, like the witches, who, in turn, spent a lot of effort maintaining their life and form. Fire is known for its ability to heal and restore, and subsequently, three witches became obsessed with stealing it and becoming not only stronger and more powerful, but also regaining their vitality and appearance. But the decay was not only external, but also internal, meaning they eventually went completely mad.
7 - The destruction of the witches by the Team Light, imprisonment in Obsidian. Despite the destruction of their physical forms, they retained enough strength to exist in captivity as spirits and operate through the Mandragora. Well, this is already known from canon.
