“Yeah those are totally not for me.”
“Guess it’s not for everyone.”
tessaxfarmer:
“Indeed it is, makes you feel like you’re not alone in a way. If that makes sense at all.”
“It makes perfect sense.”
tessaxfarmer:
She chuckled as well, “ Glad I’m not the only one then.”
“Always better to know you’re not.” She laughed.
tessaxfarmer:
“Great, I’m glad that you are alright. I swear, I really do need to watch where I’m going a lot better.” She told her.
“Oh, trust me, I relate so... don’t worry. You’re not alone.” She chuckled.
@eleanor-pope
“You okay over there?”
joanweston:
“That’s all we really can do, is hope it is.”
“Sadly, yeah.”
“Yeah, that is really gross.” // @secretsummerstarters
“Really? I love them.” She said, taking another bite.
“New Year, let’s see if this will be better than last year.” @secretsummerstarters
“God. I really, really hope so.”
“Oh, sorry! Didn’t mean to bump into you like that. Are you okay?” She asked the person she ran right into. @secretsummerstarters
“Oh! No, uh, it’s all good. I don’t think I was looking where I was going.” She chuckled, her mind had been full of anxieties. “I’m alright. No harm done.”
Name: Eden Pope Age: 26 Sexuality: Bisexual Gender: Female Portrayed By: Sydney Sweeney Availability: Closed
“I don’t want to get involved… no comment.”
→ Background
Eden was born and raised in Baberton, alongside her siblings Eleanor and Steven, and her cousins Kylie and Leslie. They were a fairly close family and the Pope’s have also always been one of the richest in town. Eden never bothered too much about that sort of thing, she barely even bothered about the fact she was ‘rich’. She didn’t really go to any events and she didn’t only hang out with others in the same class circle as the Pope family. Eden just didn’t care. She liked and did alright in school, she had lots of friends, and she was just a happy girl. She was thirteen when she found out her sister Eleanor was seeing a boy - a boy that their father would never in a million years approve of. Because Eden never cared about anybody’s background or upbringing, she didn’t warn Eleanor away from seeing him or anything.
Something she would live to regret when her sister ended up in a coma in the hospital, after being attacked by that same boy she’d been seeing for the past year and a half. Eleanor didn’t wake up though she stayed stable enough in hospital and the boy Samuel, went to prison, and the family did the best that they could. Then her cousin Kylie fell out of her bedroom window and almost never walked again. She recovered but Eden just couldn’t take all the pressure and she actually attempted suicide - which resulted in her being the third Pope to be admitted to hospital in quite a short period of time. She knew that she put her parents and her brother through hell and she felt awful for that but Eden just couldn’t take it anymore. It took a long time for her to battle against those demons in her head… if she ever really did.
→ Back to Baberton
For the last seven or so years, Baberton has been anything but a safe place. There have been many murders and a lot of deep, dark secrets exposed. Eden just wants things to go back to the way they used to be, when everything was safe and none of this bad stuff had come into her life. After her suicide attempt, she was put into therapy and she managed to talk through a lot of stuff which really helped her figure out how to cope and move on with her own life outside of her comatose sister. Though the guilt for not warning Eleanor off Samuel has never gone away and she will regret it for the rest of her life. She feels responsible for her sister being in a coma to this day and she doesn’t have the hope that her brother Steven seems to. He seems to think she’s going to wake up some day and he’s been refusing to let anybody even so much as think about letting her machines be turned off. Eden doesn’t think she has any hope left at all. It’s been too long.
Eden just does her best to live her life day to day, taking things as they come, making the most of her time with her family. She doesn’t take that for granted, though she does have her bad days and is overcome with anger or depression. She knows everyone feels that way sometimes but it’s very overwhelming and sometimes takes her straight back to the headspace she was in during her suicide attempt. She still doesn’t have much of a care for coming from money and she even got herself a part-time job in a local restaurant, Alfredo’s. She enjoys waiting tables more than her mother seemed to think she would and Eden just likes the simple things in life like reading a good book, sitting out in the garden in the sunshine, and pretending like nobody is getting brutally murdered. Hard as that may be.
→ What’s Her Secret?
Has been taking her mother’s pills to take the edge off and is becoming dependent on them. Eden’s father can often somehow pull strings to get her mother more than she needs in advance and she keeps them in the drawer and doesn’t count them or anything. So it’s easy for Eden to take them without anybody noticing.
Took some of their parents money to pay someone off to get somebody in prison to kill Samuel Hendry for what he did to her sister. The attempt failed and she knows that an eye for an eye might not be the best way to deal with things, but she misses her sister so damn much. Now, Sam has been released from prison after ‘doing his time’. No time would be long enough in Eden’s mind, though she’s apprehensive of him finding out it was her who tried to have him killed and about any retaliation that may come from it if he does.
“Cheers.” Candace downed her drink, before ordering another. // @secretsummerstarters
“Looks like you’re having a good night.”
s-amuelhendry:
“I-…” He repeated, hesitating again. If he had done what they said he did, Eden would have been correct- there wouldn’t be anything he could say- but he didn’t hurt Eleanor. His eyes dropped to the ground as his head shook, “I would never have done that to her…” Sam mumbled the words, not sure if she had even heard him.
“Fuck off.” Eden didn’t know what the hell he was trying to pull, still spreading that shit around but she was so over it and she felt sick every time she even thought about him trying to say he was innocent. Eleanor had practically been dead.
elise-ramsey:
“My family actually.”
“Well, I guess that’s a pretty good reason.”
