Facebook introduces autoplaying video ads
The video ads will begin to play as you scroll through News Feed, but if you don’t want to watch, you can simply keep scrolling and the video will stop playing. Video ads that start playing when they appear on screen are pre-downloaded when you are on WiFi so they do not consume additional data. Videos will not play with sound unless you turn the sound on. To do this, click or tap on the video.
People will go NUTS. And then they won’t.

Such a great cover on this week’s Bloomberg Businessweek.

Thanks, Josh!

I’m still less than impressed with Snapchat as a platform. Now when you add snapchat’s main functionality to an existing platform, it becomes a kickass add-on.
This is perfect for those tweets you want to send out (ie: how are you @/replies), but don’t want cluttering up your twitter feed unnecessarily.
Twitter is working on ways of getting more juice out of its vast trove of user content — that new “blue line” for conversation threads, for example, is a way for older conversations to resurface — so I don’t know how it is going to feel about this: a developer called Pierre Legrai..

Love the completely see-through kitchen here. So much action at one of the Top 50 restaurants in the world. (at Restaurante Central)
Three years ago Michael Abramson was at a nightclub in Boston. Shortly after taking a sip of his drink, he knew something was wrong. It was his first drink of the night but "started to feel much more like my 15th drink," he reported. Before he knew what was happening, the suddenly legless Abramson was being thrown out of the club, presumably for being overintoxicated; his friends had to carry him out, and he remained unconscious until the next
