New music from Du Tonc after a couple of slightly lame releases - builds nicely with whispered vocals as usual and they’ve tweaked the base to a more standard sound which helps the structure. Positives aside the artwork is gross.

Minimal but upbeat bit of electronica from Brutalist duo from Melbourne.Whole mixtape is worth a listen although Strep is the strongest piece, in their words “the anchor”. Definitely has some weight to it.
Really great moody, dark track from Massive Attack feat Roots Manuva. Any new RM is always going to get a buzz and this dream collab is no letdown. Haunting vocals and eerie samples switch between soft electronia and gritty spoken vocals. Then about halfway the track really kicks off and you feel like your halfway between the future and the past, caught in jangling synth drums and howling violin strings. I’ll be honest, the whole Ritual Spirit is golden
Summery drums from KAYTRANDA and perfect snappy vocals Little Dragon, it can only be from flavour of the month album 99.9%. Simply looping rhythm that does its thing and probably sounds best played by the pool at night.
Twist on the hit with less snakehips and more 90s synth. Its missing a few catchy hooks but you can’t have it all. At times dangerously close to vaporwave?
Smooth, simple, haunting track that builds and turns into something you can move to. Archetypal NRP fake trumpets that manage to work nicely with the foggy vocals.
Another big iconic remix from Joe Goddard. A slow, bobbing and ticking track, it makes great work of the vocals and catchy riff of the original. It builds up and while it never really kicks off, it’s a funky disco remix all the same.
Chilled out and slightly downbeat remix of Caribou by Fourtet. Canadian meets Canadian to make something pretty different..
Big fan of Brooklyn duo No Regular Play, and this is classic them with a mellow, progressive builder. Percussion and shifting pitch makes you feel like your underground at 4am but the trumpets give it a twist - think roof party with the sun coming up
Summer time and what more could you want. Tick tock base line and some catchy vocals you can mouth like you knew this before anyone else!
Grown on me since released, its Clams Casino’s remix of Sia. For a bit of a melodic re-write it keeps a lot of the vocals intact, which makes it kind of familiar and subtle, despite being a really original piece of classic clams.
*talking of classic clams, all the decent quality versions have been taken down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDWa9Vjulqc
Crystal Castles back with a new vocalist but similar sound. Ethan Kath combining the familiar eerie haunting vocals with his typical synths but a new 4tothefloor bass..
Awesome tune from Hayden James, just the right mix of cheesy organ synths and repetitive lyrics so that is not annoyingly predictable
A slow burner that starts deep and finishes with heavy claps and weirdly the kind of bass you'd expect from 2008. Aside from that, nice.
Moody, rolling tune by Ta-ku.
Really sweet feel good / feel bad track from Caribou. A lot softer than his older stuff but still with those echoey vocals and epic progression
New SBTRKT with a trap feel to it. Classic Sampha vocals as before. Nothing new, but nothing wrong..
