I. this blog is private and selective, as well as mutuals only. i curate my own space and like to keep my dash semi-orderly. if i follow you, it means i'd like to interact. in the same vein - this blog is multiverse, multiship, au, crossover, oc, and duplicate friendly. i tend to not do exclusives, but i will do mains, all of which will be listed here.
II. on the subject of activity - mine can be sporadic at times, with rp being a hobby and multiple blogs on top of this one. if i don't like a post you've tagged me in within around two days time, please feel free to send me a poke about it. i also kindly request when sending in ask memes, send no more than two - otherwise i tend to get overwhelmed.
i am a wordy writer for serious threads, usually about 3 + paragraphs in length. i do also format my posts - triple spaced, small font, occasionally with colors. i neither expect formatting nor entirely matched length in replies.
III. given the nature of talon's character and his temperament, romantic shipping is not the primary focus of this blog.
if you are interested in shipping with talon - i seek chemistry first and foremost, and a bit of repertoire with the mun as well. that being said - feel free to message me about it!
IV. it should be obvious that this blog will be dark and heavy on the nsfw side. nsfw includes, but is not limited to: smut, violence, gore, psychological horror, trauma, drug usage, etc. i do not shy away from darker thematics but all triggering content will be tagged and placed under a read more.
as such, i ask that if you are under the age of 21 that you do not follow/interact with me. if you follow me and your blog does not list your age, or lists you as under 21, i will likely soft block you. this is for my own comfort. no exceptions.
other standard dni's apply. do not interact if you, as a mun, are into pro-shipping, incest, noncon, underage, or are transphobic, homophobic, biphobic, ableist - etc. additionally, dni if you are friends with frosty ( windwandered, etc). callouts are listed here, and here.
V. goose / 29 / she + they / cst. i play on both na and oceanic but i'm bad no matter what my ping is. mutuals feel free to add me!
Rat Town is the largest of the settlements of Bilgewater, and exactly where the ronin wanted to be before his ship would set sail for Noxus. Fleet Street was at Rat Town’s heart, the perfect location for a plentiful amount of bar hopping if he so chose. But Yasuo was content in sticking to the Brazen Hydra, one of Bilgewater’s most renowned taverns. It had both a fairly calm atmosphere at the time of night, especially for such a bustling location, and the convenience of being where he was lodged during his stay here on the docks. Finally he was able to get something strong in him, being free of his previous charge upon them now going their separate ways for different personal goals. He isn’t sure what he’ll find in Noxus, but he feels the winds pulling him in that direction. Being at the bar was advantageous, as Yasuo enjoyed scanning the other patrons with his eyes as he nursed his now-second drink. There are a lot of unique and curious people in Bilgewater, that is certain, and it had been so long since Yasuo was ever really in any social situation that wasn’t considered necessary. It was a surprisingly welcome change, as he never realized until leaving Ionia just how lonely he was, and still is. Such is the way of things for a wanderer such as himself.
Nonetheless, his time in Bilgewater was genuinely enjoyable, and a part of him will miss this place, so watching the bustling life of the tavern would be a good final send off ‘til morning, he thought. Around the tavern were a handful of patrons he’d grown to recognize to a certain degree, but there were some new faces intermingled throughout the entire place. Each patron was accompanied by at least one other, save himself and one other lonely soul. A curious sight, one that caused Yasuo’s brow to raise slightly out of intrigue, eyeing a secluded figure whose features he couldn’t quite make out beyond the cloak they wore. There was a high chance the person in question was involved in Bilgewater’s black market, or a shady business in some capacity at the very least. But this did not deter Yasuo from tapping the bar and hauling two tankards over to the stranger.
Yasuo made his presence known by carefully placing one tankard down on the table and sliding it to the cloaked figure, not sitting down just yet in case his approach wasn’t welcome. “Hey there,” his Ionian accent very noticeable, “have a round on me, stranger.” He offers a weak, but friendly smile to the stranger, one hand holding the top of the chair in front of him and the other raising his own tankard to his lips. “May I join you?”
bilgewater is noisy and smells horrible, comparable even to the back alleyways of noxus and the underside of zaun. the stink of liquor, fish, unwashed bodies - a lesser man would've long since turned green, but it was sensations talon was used to, odors he wasn't unfamiliar with. bilgewater was a frequent stop for him after all - a usual point between wherever missions took him and often a place he could rest a day or two before boarding the next ship back 'home.' something about the place was especially racuous tonight. maybe it was the paired off patrons, maybe it was his own lack of sleep from three days hard travel to get here, or maybe it was because he was... distracted.
an unfamiliar face - who stuck out like a sore thumb even in the mixed bag that was this particular tavern. his dress and even his bearing spoke of ionian, and talon was - as always - quick to learn anything and everything he could from a single glance. once he deemed this stranger not particularly a threat - he dragged his gaze away, settled further into his chair that was propped against the wall (always a wall at his back), and watched. not five minutes later, talon was looking again. he didn't quite understand why, completely. maybe it was the sleepy warmth that curled through him from a drink half an hour ago, or maybe he was just bored. regardless - the amber of his eyes bores like fire into the strangers direction and talon has to physically, painfully, turn his head away to stare at the wall. he blinks once, and it feels like a lifetime goes by before-
anyone else would've jumped in surprise - but not talon. his eyes do widen slightly, and he does whip his head towards the now manifesting stranger at lightning speeds, but otherwise the young assassin remains silent - watchful, thinking. arms cross over his dark clad chest, and he tilts his head - not unlike a falcon canting it's gaze in the direction of a larger predator, wondering if the fight is worth it, if the animal even poses a threat... whatever talon sees, he deems satisfactory, and takes the offered tankard with a grunt that could probably be diagnosed as 'thank you' alongside a nod of permission.
as always, the thought of poison flits across his mind but he squashes it with a mental wave of his hand, imbuing the swill with an almost dainty sip before setting the drink aside. " i'm afraid you won't find enjoyable company in me. " the gravel of his voice is even heavier with the burn of alcohol, the intensity made even thicker as he speaks in near flawless ionian. from illiterate to speaking, reading, and writing three languages - talon's debt to general marcus was still mountains high. " i'm not a good conversationalist. "
yet, he leans further into the light, the illumination of the tavern itself giving the other a more candid view of his young profile - the cold features shrouded in purple and the shag of dark brown hair. " what's your name? " he finds himself asking, before he can even temper down the question and he has to wonder - briefly - why he even cares.
