I knew I had a problem when I read Best Buy's Techtober sale as Best Buy's Kinktober sale.
Was ringing up one sweater for a customer who immediately said "[he] didn't want to buy it" and left the checkout lane. Okay no problem. I cancelled the transaction and put the sweater in the go backs bin where store associates would put it back on the sales rack.
20 minutes later, after I've rang up a bunch of other customers, the same guy shows up and wants to buy that same sweater he gave me.
Guy: Why didn't you save it for me?
Me: You said you didn't want to buy it so one of our associates put it back.
Guy: Sure but I didn't want to buy it then. I want to buy it now. Give it to me now.
Me: ...
Guy: If I want to buy something for later, where am I supposed to keep it while I'm shopping??
Sir, that it what shopping bags are for.
Do I really have a praise kink or was I robbed of positive reinforcement as a child from my dysfunctional parents???
Can a marketing/web dev/HR whatever person please please explain to me why companies always start their Careers pages with "What We Do", "Who We Are", "Our Values", "What's It Like Working Here" when the reason I clicked on the Careers page is for their available job postings and nothing else??? I don't care about their design thinking values, or 21st century approach to work when I just want FUCKING JOB AND NOT BE HOMELESS
FFS it gives off the same energy as recipe blogs posting their whole life story before getting to the actual fucking recipe
It's that time of the month again where I search for and like all posts about shitty families because mine are currently acting up.
yo, just finished a job interview and wtf was that?? I can't believe I spent all my time preparing to whore myself out to a bunch of corporate brain dead a-holes. This wasn't an interview, it was a culling

Thanks Foghorn Leghorn! I really needed that!
everyone's always like you have to reach out to employers who don't contact you after you submit applications and oh you have to write a cover letter and it has to be Your Best Cover Letter Ever Every Time but imma be real with you. i've had a bunch of jobs over the last, idk, 6yrs, and not one time has messaging an employer or writing a cover letter helped. not a single fucking time. so now i just don't do it. if my qualifications, application materials, scores on the jobhunting sites' stupid skills assessment tests, and references from past employers aren't enough then they're just not gonna get me as an employee. i'm sending in way too many applications to message or write a cover letter for every single one. they don't read them anyway. i've gotten rejections from jobs 3yrs after applying (dead serious). like it does not matter. just send as many applications as you can and eventually someone will bite or someone you know IRL will be able to get you into an opening somewhere. easy apply options are your friend.
lets all just stop wasting time and effort on shit that doesn't even matter.
can anyone confirm that demographic info that "doesnt get shown to employers" actually is not shown to the employers because there is no way my luck is this bad
