real, mon dieu... same when I add a psd to a character thats dark skinned and they go a really dark brown & blend w the outline or just go fully #00000 black...

I honestly don't know why editblr veterans think people who enjoy the 2024 style "dont understand how bad 2024 editblr was"

Like.. I was on editblr during 2024, i fear it was NOT as bad as some of these veterans are making it out to be 😓 yes there was drama, but I think 2025 was worse with all the virtuavior stuff

Very true! I wasn't as involved in editblr back in 2024 but I saw SOME of the situations happening were bad, yes, but people are making them seem worse than they were.

Greeting to all ! You may simply address me as Mod Tinkerbell, I use shy / hyr pronouns and feminine terms. Please refrain from using masculine terms as it's disrespectful towards my identity, thank you.

I may seem a little intimidating or reserved at first, but I’m truly kindhearted and always happy to help others when needed. I enjoy expressing love and warmth in my own way, so don’t be shy around me !!

I’m the oldest moderator on this blog and have been part of the editblr community since 2022. Over the years, I’ve become pretty familiar within the community and well-versed in many of its topics.

As for boundaries, you must always treat me with the utmost respect if you wish to have smooth interactions and it is also very mandatory to use correct tonetags.

I can be very opinionated and won’t hesitate to share my thoughts when necessary, but always with honesty and consideration.

For serious matters, Mod Blonney and I work closely together and are usually the ones handling them, so you may often see us around together.

Why have all the Pastebins been nerfed???

I haven’t been looking at editblr for a year now, so I’m quite shocked that all (minus one) Pastebins that everyone used have been removed off the face of the Internet—

Sentry, Bundlrs, Text.cc, Crangon.cc… All gone!

R.I.P to all the pastes I made - cuz they’ve all gone down with the websites—

Something that scares me whenever i retheme is that some people would find it weird or whatever (since sometimes i retheme to musicians and usually editors dont edit irl people methinks(?),,,) and im also scared i might do something bad i didnt know was bad or just lose everything like im digging my own grave or something,,,,,and trying to be moots with other editors are also tricky,,,(another thing that sometimes makes me feel out of place is that i have 0 kins and 0 f/os even though thats not important!!! Just felt like putting it for some reason,,,) (sometimes i cant access(?) some blogs for some odd reason,,,unsure what that means,,,) -😈🟦

I know there's a lot of problems with editblr but something that ticks me off is people constantly posting large walls of text saying that editblr is the worst community, none of us are original, we all talk like babies, editblr sucks dni. And it's always coming from people who don't do anything to better the community

There's a problem with psds/gradient masks making black characters skin a different/lighter color? Make some tutorials and give tips.

Problem with misusing alt text/no plain text? Let them know in their inbox/messages.

People publicly using "given names" and names from closed cultures? MESSAGE THEM OR LET THEM KNOW!

there's no point in making large posts complaining about editblr if you're not going to try fix the issues at hand, all it does is make the community more negative then it already is

I hate being a small editor, I just want to quit already. I mean, I love editing, it brings me joy! But also there's no point in that if my stuff I work so hard on don't get more than 15 notes. Maybe I shouldn't ask people to give credit, would that bring my work more attention? I have some of popular editors blocked (due to my own boundaries) so I know I won't go anywhere anyway.

I observed the community for a while before joining, and yeah, I noticed that now you have to be friends with bigger blogs to get anyone to notice your work. Or your graphics have to be REALLY good. No hate to them, I know it's not their fault, I just wish it wasn't like that. My friends keep saying that they love my graphics, but they're not editors, so it doesn't do much, even if I tag them.

Maybe I should start doing the cluttered edit style to just fit in or something?

Oh :( that’s sadly common seeing we got similar asks and that’s sad…

Also do what style fits you the most! Don’t worry about what is more popular, styles are supposed to be something you like!

I know this is really a non-issue but I feel like editblr is way too possessive over IDs/kins.

It's way worse if you Id the same character as a popular editor because they will always try to rub it in your face every way possible and honestly those editblr groups tend to single out "doubles", not even trying to be friends with you because " we already have a *insert random character* in our friend group.." It's honestly so stupid.

Dont get me started on how I feel like I cant even have the same character as my theme. I once rethemed to shiraishi an and got a total of three anons saying that I was trying to copy some big editor that's not even my mutual.

I seriously think it's all so stupid for something that's such a non-issue in the grand scheme of things

Honestly, people are allowed to feel uncomfortable and set boundaries especially due to attachment or projection that are often related to delusions or psychosis. Not everyone needs to engage with doubles or people with the same kins or ids, and choosing it for personal comfort is valid.

But i also agree with you with how that discomfort is handled, especially when it’s turned into exclusion/targeting or encouraging others to do the same as a way of competition or dog pilling. Boundaries are made to protect yourself, not to control or exclude others identities.

At the end of the day, this is a minor issue. Mutual spaces require basic respect, and communication not ownership over characters or themes, and people can coexist without interacting with eachother (A basic block). Making it bigger than that only creates unnecessary conflict.

Stop coming for us about napoleon thing, atp i'm gonna have to ignore all our asks about this. I said 200 times the "editing a historical figure as a joke" thing is not even the biggest problem anymore and yall still are going on about this specifically.

I only entered this cuz blonney did first and continued because we saw someone we love getting genuinely disrespected and hurt while never being aknowleged by anyone. Now i'm closing anything about this for real cuz my mood is genuinely awful because of personal things.

It was not my intention to keep this going for too long. Now i'm stopping it.

Hi! So there is this person who has been copying me / taking inspo from me quite a bit recently. I’m uncomfortable with inspo taken from me a lot of the time, so I want people to ask first (it’s written on my profile.) but this person hasn’t asked me at all! It makes me really upset because they also copy and pasted the text from my promo (the symbols and stuff) but then just put their info in instead. They took inspo from a theme of mine that I really like, and also seem to take a lot of inspo from my editing style too. I was just wondering of anyone thinks I’m overreacting/being dramatic/genq. Im not sure what to do, but I’m also not sure if my feelings are even valid. Any advice?

this is sort of negative so feel free to ignore!!

i feel that editblr has this one specific style, and almost everyone copies it. it's w/o any overlays, a whole BUNCH of pngs (especially webcore/glitter gifs),and just a psd.

also I feel as if people started to believe that just bc there's png clutter, it's a good edit. like for me at least, png clutter isn't very appealing on its own. I've seen multiple edits with just about 100-200 tiny pngs just cluttered together with a character sprite dumped on top. i don't like it personally.

Not gonna lie, while i believe it’s just a style that people feel more comfortable doing, i do agree that’s becoming kind of a pattern. I personally also do not like it but it’s just a style in the end, i just didn’t wanted it to become “what makes an edit popular” yk?
