Cafe MANI

One of the most scenic and peaceful cafe I've been to. Make sure you try their hot hallabang lemon tea. Every sip of the lemon tea 🍋 you get a whiff of rosemary 🌿🍃 and a plenty of sweet lemon flesh and tiny flecks of rinds. Makes me want to make a cake with dollops Of lemon and rosemary infused cream, crown with dried lemon slices and baby rosemary leaves

Really nice ambience, staff is nice, great food and reasonably priced ($30 pp for the set menu). The welcome drink, pork terrine and the zucchini pancake is the highlight. The pork terrine goes really well with the Yuzu vinegarette coated salad and pancake is light and airy. Can't figure out what the drink was but has Makgeolli, some kind of fruit juice or alcohol and crushes ice in it.

Walnut tart and cheese tart 👍visit in the afternoon instead because they don't seem to open as per the website says. Despite some of the reviews the tarts are actually quite nice and the flavours are well balanced.

Lentil as Anything This amazing non profit organisation runs on the business model 'Pay as you feel', a fantastic, indiscriminate and sustainable way to satisfy every customer. Definitely go check it out if you haven't already. Vegetarian

Maslow’s Sydney Location: 1116 Pacific highway, Pymble, NSW 2073

Maslow’s Sydney has turned a garage into a beautifully designed cafe located en route to PLC. Air plants(?) dangling against whitewashed brick walls, casting a shadow on those long expansive tables, it’s a nice and open space for a quick bite in the summer. Great coffee art but I find it too watery and not enough foam for a cuppaccino.

Sushi Tenkoku すし天国 121 Anzac Parade, Kensington I recommend scrumptious sea bursting flavour Ikura sushi! According to my sister, she said めっちゃ美味しかった ! また行こう！We will definitely see you again!

Bourke Street Bakery, Surry Hills

Ginger creme brulee tart is out of this world! It has definitely topped every pastry dessert I have ever tasted. That ginger flavour and that creamy center… is so wonderful it makes me drool even just thinking about it. The same skill and quality is extended to other pastries such as croissant too. It’s worth a trip to surry hills just to eat this. Although this neighborhood also has many lovely cafes too. This trip makes me recall the famous quote Virginia Woolf, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”

Location: paddington I tried their iced coffee and corn fritter and they were average. But since their basement reminds me so much of my much missed Løve's bog og vin cafe in Aarhus, I shall give it try again: ) Corn fritter: $9.50 Iced coffee: around $4
