A documentary, I edited, Ryuichi Sakamoto: CODA (directed by Stephen Schible) will have a premiere in Venice international film festival 2017! First screening on September 3rd.
The Official Website of Avant-Garde Filmmaker Andrew Noren.
I recently found out that Andrew Noren, an avant grade filmmaker, passed away in 2015. I saw his exhibit in early 2000 and enjoyed the impact he tried to create. I seemed to miss all his retrospective screenings. Hopefully, next time I can make it.
"I'm a light thief and a shadow bandit. I deal in retinal phantoms. Film is illusion, period, however you choose to see it - shadows of human delights and adversities or raging conflicts of emulsion grains. We see only "films" of films, as all of our sight and sensing is illusion, the phantom movies of our encounter with the world, which, remember, is equally phantom, trompe l'oeil of that clown and ghostmeister, the sun. The lovers, light and shadow, and their offspring space and time are my themes, working with their particularities is my passion and delight." -Andrew Noren
"My ambition for myself is "to become" light, to enter it at the last moment." -Andrew Noren 3/17/73
Mad Tiger is now on Netflix in North America area!
Here's the diagram: how to use the thunderbolt 27" display for both of my MacBook pro and TV - HDMI to mini display port converter ($79.99) - switcher ($52.98) In theory, this should work and should be easy switching. And I still can hook up thunderbolt external hard drive for my editing. :)

“George Harrison: Living in the Material World” directed by Martin Scorsese. “People always say I’m the Beatle who changed the most. But really that’s what I see life is about. The point is unless you’re God-conscious, then you have to change because it’s a waste of time. Everybody is so limited and so really useless when you think about the limitation on yourself. And the whole thing is to change, try and make everything better and better. And that’s what the physical world is about, is change.” - George Harrison http://www.hbo.com/documentaries/george-harrison-living-in-the-material-world
“Theater 1” directed by Kazuhiro Soda at Segal Center FF. The sound bite stuck in my mind by Oriza Hirata was something like, “All humans are acting in the society more or less yet parents ask kids to be true to yourself….if you find real self, you can start your own religion…”
