AN: This is a pretty short little thing based on the behaviors of the Mewtwo that I have in Pokemon Go that amused me. I'm allergic to cats but I think I'm pure of heart enough to not be allergic to Mewtwo. 😭
You were happy with the way that your life was going. Were you a super rich and powerful pokemon trainer? No, but you had a nice farm and a cute little Oddish that helped you make a living. You sold what you grew at the local farmer’s market and fed wild pokemon the crops that weren’t pretty enough to be sold there so that there wouldn’t be any unnecessary waste with what you couldn’t compost. Most pokemon left your crops alone because they had already been fed so you didn’t have to worry about too many losses from them. It was a calm life and you enjoyed it.
Everything was going well on your farm. You were comfortable, both physically and financially, and you were enjoying the slow and comfortable life that you provided for yourself. One evening, you noticed something strange. Instead of eating all of the food that you left out in the spot that you left them one winter, some pokemon started bringing the berries into the forest. You follow them to a cave and freeze when you see a Mewtwo. Of course, you have no clue what it is. You hadn’t ever heard of a pokemon that looked like that, especially one that was so big, but then again, you slacked off a bit in school and didn’t do very well in your pokemon identification classes. You shrugged it off. It looked close enough to a Skitty so you figured that it was probably an abandoned one from another region. You grabbed a berry out of your bag and offered it to the large creature.
“Here Skitty, Skitty, Skitty. Do you want a yummy treat? You poor thing. It’s okay. Psssp psssp psssp. It’s okay sweetheart. Let’s get you fixed up, okay cutie? This’ll help you feel better.” You cooed, offering the pokemon an oran berry in an outstretched hand.
The eyes of the pokemon narrowed and it weakly raised a hand until your Oddish began bouncing in front of you, chirping over and over frantically at the other pokemon. She was so strange sometimes. You patted her leaves before walking over to the large pokemon. You gently patted the head of the strange new pokemon as you sat down next to it, putting some berries into its hands.
“Now, now. There’s no need to be so upset. The poor thing just wants some berries. I bet it’s starving. Be nice, Oddish. The poor baby’s coming home with us. It’s hurt and we’re not about to leave it here.” You chided the grass type who was actively trying to keep you from being eviscerated via psychic energy.
The new pokemon looked stunned at the head pats and just stared at you as if you were mentally disturbed. You started digging in your bag until you found the hyper spray that you kept in case of emergencies with Oddish or any of the wild pokemon that wandered onto your farm was injured. You carefully sprayed the medicine onto the wound on the poor thing’s leg injury and hummed in satisfaction as the torn flesh began to heal.
“There’s a good Skitty. Once you’ve finished your berries, you can come home with me and Oddish. I think I’ll have to make a sweater for you, buddy. I don’t think a hairless thing like you is supposed to be out here. You’re probably so cold! I can't believe that someone would leave you here all on your own in the middle of winter.” You said empathetically as you took your scarf off and wrapped it around the pokemon’s two strange necks.
You managed to haul the pokemon back to your house via wheelbarrow after attempting to feed it a few berries. You set up a makeshift bed for it on your couch and cover the beast in blankets. You're careful to reapply medicine when needed and turn on a TV show that your Oddish likes once you're sure that the new pokemon is comfortable.
Months later, the giant beast continues to stick around after regaining its health, much to your delight. You continue doting on it just as much as you do with your Oddish, despite it being feet taller than you. It was sceptical of your affection at first but after being snuggled and loved on for so long, it’s started to get cranky when you don’t give it enough attention. It had even started bringing you leaves and flowers in exchange for more cuddle time.
“I am not a poor baby.” A deep voice rumbles in your head as you coo at it while pulling warm blankets out of the dryer.
You whip around and stare at the pokemon resting on the couch. It was the first time that the pokemon had engaged in any kind of verbal communication other than growls and purrs. You immediately rush over to it and begin petting its face.
“Oh! I didn't know that you were a psychic type! You must be one of those fancy regional Espeon variants! Sorry cutie! I didn't mean to upset you!” You cooed at the massive creature.
It stares up at you like you're stupid. After a moment, it decides that it isn't worth it to explain. It's being pampered for the first time in its life and it's not about to mess that up. It simply relaxes as you pet its face and belly, letting out a rumbling purr in the process. You didn’t need to know much. You don’t need to know about the Team Rocket grunts that it tore apart in the woods while you were sleeping last night. You don’t need to know why the townsfolk get anxious when they come to buy your berries. You don’t need to know why every other large and potentially dangerous pokemon in the area left. All you need to know is that your weird looking Espeon likes being scratched under the chin and petted when you’re watching movies with it.
Skakskss may I get some random HCs of Price with a Female reader it can he anything ily
Of course Puffy!! Thank you for sending in my first request and sticking with me when I was writing it! I think it’s pretty obvious I have no idea how to write and format HCs but there’s a first for everything, huh?
The first time they shared a bed | John Price x Female!Reader
You had been terrified your entire pregnancy. Not of being a mother. Not of König. No— you were terrified of the size of the baby.
Because your husband was a mountain of a man.
Nearly seven feet tall, broad enough to block the entire doorway, hands so huge they made coffee mugs look childish. König looked like the kind of man built to father massive babies with bowling-ball heads and shoulders wide enough to ruin your life on delivery day.
The closer you got to your due date, the more emotional you became about it.
“König..” you whispered one night, staring at his chest while he held you against him, “what if your baby comes out built like a full-grown toddler?”
He nearly choked trying not to laugh.
“Our baby is not coming out with a beard, Schatz.”
“That’s not funny.”
“It is a little funny.”
You’d smacked his chest weakly while he kissed your forehead, though the poor man did try comforting you afterward. He promised he’d stay beside you the whole time, promised your body was made for this, promised doctors existed for a reason.
Still, you expected pain.
Expected terror.
Expected to hear nurses gasp in horror at the giant infant you’d somehow created with this massive Austrian soldier.
Instead—
Your baby arrived…..tiny.
Absolutely, unbelievably tiny.
A little thing wrapped in hospital blankets, blinking up at the world with huge blue shiny eyes and the faintest dusting of strawberry-blonde hair across their soft head.
The nurse placed the baby into König’s arms and the sight almost made you cry harder than labor itself.
Because König looked gigantic.
His enormous scarred hands cradled the baby so carefully, so delicately, like he was terrified even breathing too hard would hurt it. His shoulders shook beneath quiet laughter, stunned and disbelieving.
“So small..” he whispered.
Your baby’s hand curled around one of his fingers— and couldn’t even hold all of it. König stared like his heart had been ripped straight from his chest. Meanwhile you were still emotional for an entirely different reason.
“That’s it?” you croaked from the hospital bed. “That’s what I was scared of?!”
König outright laughed then, deep and breathless behind his mask before he leaned down to kiss your forehead repeatedly.
“You were very brave for surviving our terrifyingly tiny child.”
