Mema: The art of Innovation

Inspired by Kuya @marcelosantosiii 's post. Naalala ko noong 1st year high school ako, first month sa bagong school, humingi ang teacher namin ng e-mail ng bawat isa na requirement para sa computer class. Dahil galing ako sa public school at liblib na bundok ng Cam Sur, nagulantang ang mga brain cells ko sa aking narinig. It was beyond epic. Shit. Ano yung e-mail? I couldn't stop myself yelling it again and again at the back of my mind. Ganito ba talaga sa private school? Masyadong intimidating para sa mga katulad kong taga bundok? Well, sheet happens. Haha. Noong mga panahong yun hindi pa ako naiintroduce sa mundo ng computer, although natatandaan ko na may computer shop na business ang ate ko and her friend, but I was more into playing Counter Strike and Red Alert that time. Masyado pa yata akong bata para kwentuhan kung ano ang nagagawa ng computer, in my "kiddie slash immature" point of view kasi, isa lamang iyong laruan. Wala akong alam sa internet. Zero visibility ang highway. Haha. Back in the class, I was literally shocked, culture shocked baga. This is actually the downside of transferring from a liblib public school into a private one. As days passes by, may naibigay na akong e-mail, ang nakakatawa ay e-mail yun ng ate ko. Tengene this. Hahaha. Kaya naman yung password nun ay password ko pa rin sa lahat ng accounts ko till now. Pero syempe iba na ang e-mail ko ngayon. Natuto na rin akong gumamit ng computer (besides from playing CS again and again), nagkaroon na rin ako ng friendster at humihingi na rin ng testimonials. Pero nanatili pa rin ang mabagal na pag-usad ng kaalaman ko sa computer, bukod kasi sa Friendster, Y8 at Youtube lang ang iba ko pang alam na website. Palagi kaming naglalaro noon ng The Farmer pagkatapos ng computer activities. Isa pa sa natatandaan kong innovation ay ang pagpunta sa computer shop para magpaprint dala dala ang aking diskette na may sariling casing. Sino bang hindi magpapasalamat sa maliit na bagay na ito na nagbibigay ng ease sa mga estudyanteng walang sariling printer? Ang laking tulong ng diskettes noon hindi ba? Then suddenly, from those small squares, nagkaroon bigla ng flashdrives. Baaaam! That was nine years ago. It was pretty awesome how these innovations could affect our lives in good and not so good ways. Next nine years kaya nandito pa rin ang post na ito? Can I still have access to my Instagram, Facebook, Twitter accounts? O baka naman may "new talk of the town" social site na sa panahong yon? We never know what might happen in the future. No one can tell. But as well all know, change is inevitable. My #Mema post tonight. May Memasabi lang. Peace yow. Have a good night bloggers. 👌✌👍

KINALAS FESTIVAL 2015. As part of the city's charter anniversary celebration, the city governement of Naga through the Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office, had the annual Kinalas Festival today at Plaza Quezon. The event featured kinalas eating and toasted siopao eating contests that highlighted the city's local cuisines. - NAGA SMILES TO THE WORLD PS: I never tried eating this before, even though I am a Bicolano, I hardly knew this food. Dae ko aram kung masyado sanang bukid ang lugar mi kaya dae ini nakakaabot samo.Haha. One day I would take time finding this one in Naga City. #MASIRAMON.

This is my cousin's wedding. Shot in St. Joseph Parish Church, San Jose Camarines Sur using just an "entry-level" smartphone. Pardon the shaky handheld footage. I do not have any glidecam nor steadicam neither an AE Warp Stabilizer VFX. I just kind of feel bored today so I made some sort of editing. I am not a pro filmmaker or an editor but I love the idea of becoming one someday. I find filmmaking, photography, and editing so much fun. Even though some people may find editing a bit - stressfull. Yeah, mahirap mag-edit. Usually it would take you hoursss before you have come up with a good result, but if you love what you're doing, time is not an issue. Minsan nga gusto kong magkaroon ng high quality camera e, tapos ng Rode Microphones at good lightings but the odds are not in my favor...for now. Maybe one day.

Belt

Minsan talaga may pagkatamad ako mag belt, I have this thinking na malapit lang naman ang pupuntahan ko so I never bothered wearing one today. Medyo may kapit naman. Hindi naman siya masyadong maluwag. Since mga isang oras lang naman akong bibisita sa kaibigan kong nasa Memorial and I even said to myself na hindi naman ako tatalon or whatsoever sa pupuntahan ko so it won’t trigger my shorts na mag “flop”. Everything went smooth this afternoon, I even managed to eat out and treat myself with a dinner sa isang kalapit na Mall. Okay naman nung pauwi na ako, kaso minsan talaga, when you think everythings fine, things will suck you up and unpredictable stuffs are bound to happen. Ayun, pagbaba ko muntikan na akong mag live show. Mabuti na lang.
