HELLO TUMBLR?

I saw my old tumblr account and God, I was so cringed with my lover girl era waaaay back 2014. All I can say is ganun pala talaga ako kapag nagmamahal? I give my allll... HAHAHAHA.

I just want to go back to tumblr, my safe place during my college days. Where no one judges you of what you feel kahit sobrang non sense ng bino-blog mo. Where you can really be vulnerable because no one really knows you and I can really say na it is easier to tell your story to a stranger than your family and friends. Diba?

I was really felling down these past few days and I caught myself searching for the app "tumblr" again. Maybe this is one of the signs that life is fucking me up so hard.

Madam for today's ganap. Hahaha

I'm just delighted receiving compliments about my outfit today. As someone who's not into fashion, usually jeans and shirt lang ang go to outfit ko talaga. So parang first time nila ako nakita sa office na nakaganitong outfit. Pero nung team building namin last week, naka dress din naman ako so some of them nakita na. Still not that comfortable wearing dresses talaga. I just love the idea lalo na kapag mga vintage dress sobrang gustong gusto ko. Pero wala yung urge to wear it. Siguro try ko naman this time. Gusto ko din naman maging girly girly 😆 ayoko na po maging siga. Hahahaha

Anyways, naisipan ko lang din isuot yung coat na bigay ni Anniiiii dahil sobrang lamig na din talaga sa office lalo na umuulan ulan na. Serve its purpose. Fav ko na 'tong coat na to nakaka sexy hahahaha tatry ko din to sa jeans and white shirt siguro (pinterest inspired)

i think that mirye's want for kyungbin to be able to rely on him also plays into the "jealousy" he experiences (particularly showcased in ch 53).

throughout the manhwa mirye is characterized (imo) as someone who likes when he can be reliable for those closest to him, for ex: him making the club so that ian has a place to escape to away from everyone else and in ch 77 when he explicitly states that he wants kyungbin to be able to lean on him.

therefore, i feel like mirye's "jealousy" he experiences also has to do with his want to be a reliable person. in ch 53 he says that it makes him upset to have to hear abt what kyungbin is doing from other people, and he doesnt want to just "stand by and watch" kyungbin receive affection from other people.

and obviously regular degular ass jealousy is a thing and im sure that he also feels jealous the way any bf would but due to mirye's personality it really adds another element to it. if he wants kyungbin to rely on him, he wants to be able to make him happy, etc. he worried when (he thought) kyungbin was upset at him, and when (he thought) kyungbin was sad. (this "overthinking" might be for another discussion)

its not necessarily that he wants to be in control of kyungbin's emotions (obviously he's not a piece of shit like that), but he wants to be someone that kyungbin can turn to for just about anything. kyungbin obviously doesn't come off as someone who's self-reliable (altho... i mean he lived on his own for 5 years), so mirye wants to be there for him instead. so kyungbin receiving affection from others would make him upset because he feels that it's "his job" to make kyungbin happy, or that other people aren't as reliable as him? (sort of like when he refers to ian, namsaeng, and yugun as "two softies & one weakling" in ch 77)

tbh, ch 77 is similar to ch 57 (lol they both end in 7) because it shows mirye going out of his way to (try to) make kyungbin feel better or act as someone he can rely on. this is basically me saying "mirye's love language is acts of service" but it's true? he doesn't like/its hard for him to say out loud that he likes him, but instead would rather go out of his way to make kyungbin happy through being a pillar he can lean on. he's best able to express his feelings towards kyungbin by showing him, so when other people "show" kyungbin affection, it's obviously irritating lol.

Meet Mema!!! AKA Megaquirópteros Malévolos.

Basilio "BAV" Aiza-Villa | He/Him | Adult | FTM Basilio Aiza-Villa grew up deeply rooted in pro wrestling culture. After saving enough cash while working at his family’s restaurant, Basilio enrolled in a wrestling training program at La Federación de Combatientes de Oaxaca (FCO). He then went through a rigorous training program coordinated with FCO and AOR (Assailants of the Ring).  He then trained for four straight years until he showed great promise to finally make his debut as Megaquirópteros Malévolos.

Megaquirópteros Malévolos’s debut match was against the seasoned rudo, Lagarto Poltergeist. The two rudos fought over whose evil spirit was strongest. Megaquirópteros Malévolos was victorious in the first round, but Lagarto eventually won the match by defeating him during the second and third rounds.

During the aftermath of their match, Lagarto showered Megaquirópteros Malévolos with endless praise, saying his form was excellent, his speed was perfect, and his agility was impressive. Megaquirópteros Malévolos had just met Lagarto and was shocked that he was a kind soul outside  his ring persona.

The only thing that bothered Megaquirópteros Malévolos about Lagarto’s praise was that he would call him “Mema” instead of his pro wrestling name. When he confronted Lagarto about this, Lagarto cheerfully told him “I’m sorry, I make up nicknames for everyone here. I have trouble remembering everyone's names. Mema also makes a better crowd chant too, yes? Me-ma Me-ma!”. Megaquirópteros Malévolos knows Lagarto is right, and allows him to continue to use the nickname Mema, even during their matches.

Today, Mema spends his training hours with Lagarto. Together they work on perfecting their in-ring rivalry, as to who will become the strongest rudo spirit. --- I submitted the above illustration of Mema vs Lagarto to a small print publication, called Dog Bowl Zines. ^_^ I spent a lot of time designing and creating the VS artwork, I'm surprised I completed all of it in less than two weeks... very very motivating. ^_^ I also gotta thank my friend Beavie for helping me refine the commentary in the VS artwork. <3
