Work in Progress Wednesday Thursday

I don't remember the last time I was quite this excited about a skin that I'm making. I have no idea if all of this will end up in the final version, but I'm just having so much fun with seeing what I can actually do that I wanted to share some work in progress shots.

(honestly? the hardest part has been finding the images. any tips on where to get medieval illuminated artwork would be much appreciated!)

In the first image, the AO3 title and the lady/dragon are separate images so on a desktop monitor the AO3 part is on the left and the dragon piece is on the right.

it's crazy actually how much of jayce's whole arc in season 2 revolves around viktor. he's like ok now that i've quit the council i can do whatever i want and ive decided to be a housewife. and then the divorce happens

half of his decisions in season 1 are like i have to please the council! and caving under pressure and tbh? tbh??? controversial opinion but none of this would have happened if he just indulged in his praise kink

the thing with jayce i think is like. a lot of his season 1 arc is has to do with getting over being a people pleaser. he joins the council bc mel tells him to. he spends a lot of time ass kissing and acting against zaun because the council's anti undercity sentiments get to him and he feels pressure over being a councilor. so it's frustrating to see him bend to that again and again and only decide to act on his own and stand with viktor at the very end of the season

but once season 2 comes around i feel like he's matured enough to figure out what he really wants and confident enough to push back against the council. he comes to the conclusion that he doesn't belong there and dedicates himself instead to figuring out what's wrong with the arcane and to helping viktor and that means his impulsiveness is less evident and it lets his strengths, namely his loyalty, shine
