Mastery: PRD timeline goal

The journey towards my mastery has enriched me with so much knowledge especially with personal branding alone. With my brand, I’ve always been an advocate for finding a solution to any dark situation. There were a few things about this class that I truly admired. One was getting the chance to understand about creating a social presence through social media. Things like establishing a hashtag or handle that represents my brain to the fullest. Even creating something of a mission statement that best represents what I can bring to the table to any client I work with. I updated these for my Instagram and Twitter accounts because After school I plan on continuing my brand creating content that will be useful for future content creators.

I also had a professor who was a great resource towards writing my thesis paper. Battling my recent knowledge of dyslexia I had a lot of trouble with writing the paper. Dr. Diane Dobry worked with me personally to help me with any errors in providing multiple tips with constructing the paper.  

Along with understanding how to write a thesis paper on a Master’s level I could learn more how to develop a proper job interview pitch. This was something new to me as I've always relied on the normal process of a resume, cover letter And good recommendations. I could also update my portfolio As it related my previous background which was audio production. I have sadly better than industry for the past year as I've been in my role as a social media consultant for my capstone client Adrian Ravelo and his shop Arcade Monsters.

THE ONLINE MEDIA ROOM

It’s been 11 months so far that I’ve been working with Arcade Monsters and helping them with media development. One of the original goals for the project was to help establish the second location that would be created in Melbourne, Florida. Originally for project my job was to just be a media coordinator and market the location.

With the development of COVID-19 came midway in the project as we just opened our second location a month before. Big scare honestly as we grew worried with how this would affect the business and my client.

So immediately I had to change my role in not only advertising in the second location but creating ways to connect with our audience to social media with our arcade being closed with no date for reopening.

With having to create new info cards and even mobilizing our menu for GrubHub, hosting an arcade auction, and even establishing online tournaments, we could continue the growth in Arcade Monsters with the power of social media.

REPUTATION MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES

I have to say with going into the public relations masters program at four so university I was excited about our reputation management strategies. Honestly, the reason I signed up for the program was to be a future PR agent for esports players. But taking in a lot of techniques from the course and understanding crisis management, crisis planning, and last understanding how to create a crisis management plan. There is definitely a lot of detail that goes into a plan of this caliber and at first, I was a bit worried about my completion towards it. 

Having to map out an entire plan for an organization like arcade monsters is a bit difficult at first because we don't handover to any crisis in the public nor understand what that may look like. So having to create a plan for future we do not know of was challenging.

Overall with creating the plan it has led me to respect the phrase “having too many chefs in the kitchen” comes to organizing a plan of this caliber there’s never too many people to be a part of a communications team. Also, understanding local government local media it’s just different resources necessary to get connected with through crisis shocked me at first I never took into account that if something major were to happen to the brand that is our cave monsters the number of people that we would need to communicate with our substantial. That being said, I enjoy bringing this plane to the owner of the shop at the end of this class to see if this something that will be implemented at all shops or something we can advise and update.

Events Marketing and Production

I will say in my time with this program I guess my perspective has changed on work public relations. I thought it would be something similar to public speaking, something of being an ambassador for a brand or let alone your brand. Yet, I found there was so much more than just that. This course opened my eyes to hosting my webinar. 

For the first time I felt involved with public speaking for a brand or even for myself and it was exciting! I wasn’t expecting it at first granted when a request to host a zoom I was hype! even if people didn’t view it the idea was to post it on YouTube yet wanted that audience.  Overall, looking forward to the next three months of the program and hope that I can continue doing more stuff like this my next couple of courses.

Mastery Journal: MARKET AND CONSUMER RESEARCH ANALYSIS.

This month has been interesting coming into Midway of the month in COVID-19 consuming most of my hands-on work with Arcade Monsters I could still find some kind of way and continue my current campaign of the soft launch in Melbourne Florida. With that being said this month's study has been difficult for me because I’ve never been great with researching but I found the value of how relevant research can be handy when targeting your demographic.

It was also interesting in getting into the mind of your consumers by creating a buyers persona never have I had to think as detailed as Howell person may live how their income is functioning towards them being a future customer in their current day-to-day activities can match to what we bring as entertainment until this month so I got a good insight on that for my future business calls.

doing a lot of research on millennials and generation Z customers was intriguing because I am myself being a millennial can understand The lifestyle of someone of my caliber puts a dent understand and have to relate to someone is in generation Z kind of brought me back to my childhood innocence because of some things they do now I did not too long ago

I wish I knew about swot analysis Long ago they kinda like they who what where when and why of anything business-related to understanding strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats to any decisions you make I feel like I may use that in my day-to-day task from now on because it’s such a benefit when you have to break down any decision you want to make.

Overall, I’m looking forward to next month and what opportunities it may bring.
