Fan theory for @arianimates season 2 of Respiritgina:
With the official intro for season 2 of Respiritgina out now, I thought I’d cast my own head canon for the situation between Laverna (my crossover au’s Aministy) and the all black outfit guy with green tinted eye glass (they don’t have an official name that we’re aware of but my universe calls them Gamma).
Full disclosure: This is all speculation and I’m making this just for fun, I’m not actually a part of the creative team for Ari’s indie animated series. So take what I say with a grain of salt. And all images I reference Ari has up somewhere on his YouTube channel or Tumblr blog. Also I will be using Aministy instead of Laverna and Gamma instead of “the all black outfit guy with green tinted eye glasses” since 1, to make it easier on myself and 2, one of them doesn’t actually have a confirmed name yet so I’m using my filler name for them. And I will stick solely to the main timelines events.
Ok now onto the actual theory:
So we know that Aministy is a head mistress/high authority character and Gamma is some kind of lurker character who’s stalking around the castle. I have some theories on what is going on with Gamma, Aministy and those 4 guards that seem to be extras.
Theory 1: Gamma is enacting revenge on Aministy or Cameron’s family in general.
In this shot from the intro video to season 2:
he is seen with his hand against Aministy specifically, my thoughts are she did something wrong to whoever is Gamma in this universe (also love the blade shaped tail he has). If you still don’t think Gamma is a creep towards Aministy then look at this:
He is clearly standing near a portrait of Aministy that has a handheld sickle pierced into it. And suspiciously is making a shhh hand motion with his back towards her. What does this all mean? Gamma is plotting something and maybe it has to do with Scaldris’ loitering problem? It’s unclear if Gamma and Scaldris is working together or Scaldris is Gamma but let’s see if my next theory is a little bit more relatable. The only flaw with this theory is that we don’t have a lot of scenes to go with so it’s a little flimsy, and the trailer and images don’t have dialogue so I can’t officially confirm or deny anything until episode 1 of season two comes out.
Theory 2, Gamma and Scaldris are working together or they are the same person:
What if they’re both in on this whole stalking and loitering thing? In one post, Ari said that Scaldris has been seen loitering around the castle with no known intentions. Seems very suspicious to me, Gamma seems to be doing something similar but also specifically going after Aministy like what we see with most of the small moments we’re given of them. They could be working together on this, Scaldris is providing the weapons, Gamma is snooping around to see if he can get any opportunities on Aministy. If they are the same person though, he can gather information from our main characters to use to his advantage. Though the ida of them being the same person that is highly unlikely as we see in these 2 shots:
Scaldris has that fluffy hair tail thing while Gamma has that blade tail at the end. Sure it could be that (if the second half of this theory is true) Scaldris stuffed his tail in a tail binding thing and put on the outfit of Gamma, but he’d have to be very fine having his tail in a tight and uncomfortable fitting.
Theory 3, Gamma is a lower class men and Scaldris is a red herring:
So to put this idea into perspective: Gamma is a lower class man who got the weapons from Scaldris or Scaldris’ master and Gamma is a red herring probably because he was in the right place at the wrong time. @eebydeebythesqequel has made some artwork of Scaldris being Gamma but I think Ari is trying to throw us in a loop with the color similarities between them. Here’s what I think is going on if this theory is true:
Gamma is a lower class man who’s in financial trouble but they can’t get out of it, so what do they do? They start blackmailing Aministy into helping them, the whole lurking around is so Gamma can collect money from Aministy. Scaldris’ loitering could be because he’s just looking for coins or he’s really interested in what he missed while he left. If they don’t physically interact is probably because Gamma doesn’t want anyone to see them, and Scaldris is oblivious to what’s going on. Where did they get the outfit? A tailor who gave it to them or they created it themselves. A hole in this theory is that Ari stated that Scaldris might know more than what he’s letting on.
Overall these theories were fun to come up with and I’m planning to make a part 2 soon so be on the lookout for that. The most convincing theory I’ve came up with hast to be theory 3, there maybe little evidence to prove it but I can still work well with information even if it’s just a bunch of head canons.

Let’s start off with asking this, why does Gamma suddenly appear as soon as the main characters start trying to learn about Axis? It seems weird and maybe a coincidence. Here’s what I think is going on: Gamma is a descendant of an ancient clan and they did something really wrong involving Axis somehow, so what if he’s trying to stop them. And his whole thing with Aministy/Laverna is she’s a thorn in his plans. A hole in this theory is that he’s kinda just there messing with them not really doing anything.
Theory 5, Gamma is one of Reaptiles minions or Reaptile himself:
Yes, I’m being dead serious. Reaptiles whole schtick is that he practices dark magic and cursed Blister while kidnapping 2 humans, he’s dangerous and volatile. Why is Gamma trying to prevent our main characters from learning the origins of Axis? He’s probably involved in it somehow. It can also explain why there’s so much promo material of Gamma and Aministy, Reaptile has a vendetta against the people who wronged him which are the council (or more importantly Aministy and the royal family). Aministy probably had nothing to do with what’s going on and is caught in the crossfire while Reaptile or the minion is protecting the secret.
Here’s what I think is going on: Reaptile or Reaptile’s minion knew that Axis escaped and is most likely going after Casey and his group, and they will most likely go find out about who is Axis and what is he doing and find out about his past with the calamity being. He decides to either go destroy the connection himself or send a minion to do it for him, while one of them does that they torment our main characters and Aministy.
Personally I like theories 2 and 5 because they seem like the most plausible to happen despite the lack of evidence. But that’s just me so you guys can pick which one you like more.
Im personally of the belief that Scaldris and the green masked guy ARE the same person.

Second, the creator has said that the hint for Episode 12 is "RYB color model", now, in this color wheel, red and green are on opposite sides of the wheel

Because Laverna did something to his family.
I personally believe that the staff that are wearing masks are Scaldris's family, and that Laverna is holding them hostage. For what, we don't know.
Maybe the reason why Scaldris sneaks around the palace is because he's trying to get his family back, but Laverna is possibly trying to find him so that he could be intregated as part of the crew.
Becquse I don't think the palace staff are here willingly.
If you look at their hands, they're having their thumb tucked in with the fingers out, while others have the fingers in.

Well that’s the thing, Scaldris seems too easy of an guess. He feels more like a red herring than to actually be Gamma (my fanfic’s name for the masked person). Given that Gamma is fully clothed and their tail is either wrapped up or fake, I can’t fully deny or agree that Gamma is Scaldris or is family with the other stuff.
Those hand signals from the guards that we see in the intro sequence could mean they need help in general and Gamma is trying their best to help them. There’s also the fact that Gamma’s floppy ears are different colors than the guards (or is that a lighting mistake).
I still like to think that theories 3,5, 2 and 4 are very likely to be true and you kinda are supporting my 1st theory. And since you’ve brought the whole hand signals to my attention, here are my updated thoughts for 1-5.
Theory 1:
Gamma could still be trying to save them but out of the goodness of their heart, and gives them an even bigger reason to hate Laverna.
Theory 2:
Gamma and/or Scaldris are helping them try to escape but they can’t get the right opportunity, and with our main characters coming to the castle it makes their job harder.
Theory 3:
I still think Gamma is a good Samaritan like character, and the fact that he’s a lowerclass man makes it more believable and it can make a lot more sense.
Theory 4 (the one that I feel pokes a hole in your theory):
If you actually read the description of the intro video (which I did when it came out) of Respiritgina season 2, it says the following: “… the group must dig into the past to figure out Axis’ motivations before he lays ruins to the world. But there are some things better off staying buried.” Sure this could mean literally anything but given how Gamma is a secondary villain, Gamma’s family tree could have ties to Axis’ past. Snooping around is him trying to find the evidence of his family’s past and either destroying it or hiding it.
Theory 5:
I highly doubt Reaptile will help the captive guards or is a Good Samaritan, but the thought of them being held captive by someone he possibly despises is enough to make him do what he wants.
Overall, you still make a solid case of Scaldris being Gamma but my suspicions are elsewhere since Scaldris seems too obvious to me.
I personally think that the whole description relating to Axis is just that, relating to Axis. It feels like the second season is going to focus on two main stories. Since a lot of the shots in the trailer AND intro have to do with Laverna and the masked guy plus Axis. Axis is going to be the main overarching villain while this masked guy is going to be relating to Cameron possibly?
Because the next season seems to be focusing a lot on Cameron and the Blazaurans in general, maybe the masked guy has something to do it all.
But again I see your logic with the whole description thing, but I feel like it's two seperate things or the line about leaving things buried could apply to BOTH stories.
Also I just kind of don't see Reaptile working with the masked fella? Reaptile seems to be stuck in deadwood, but then again it is said that he has people who work for him, so maybe so!
but no matter who's theory is right, there STILL is the question of what is Laverna's motive? Because if the masked guy is lurking around, there has to be something!!!

Crackpipe Theory for @arianimates Respiritgina series
OKAY HEAR ME OUT EVERYPONY
So Scaldris was introduced in the teaser for Season 2 and I HAVE SOME IDEAS FOR THIS GUY
My idea: Scaldris and the other new Blazuran have some kind of connection between each other, like the Ancients and Beasts in CRK
But how? Well here's the idea.
Scadris and the other person (does she have a name?) Look to contrast each other with their designs.
Red and Green are contrasting colors on the RYB Color model, and with how they're both being introduced in the trailer, they HAVE to have a connection, right?
Now you might be thinking that I'm stretching here like a Laffy Taffy BUT LISTEN
THESE GUARDS THINGS???
THEIR COLORS ARE ALSO ON THE WHEEL!!! THEYRE OPPOSITESSSS OF EACH OTHER!!!
And I DO think that the masked guy here IS supposed to be Scaldris. They got the same horns and color, plus HES WEARING GREEN. (At least his mask is)
So here's what we know so far about all this.
Scaldris lurks around the castle (and no one does anything??? Can he get charged with loitering?)
He has a mask like the guards, maybe he's trying to be one of them as a disguise?

I think Scaldris has some vendetta against the new character and maybe Chameron's entire family and he's only pretending to be nice. Maybe Scaldris is trying to get the Guardian Crystal for his own purpose?
