He looks down at the book with longing in his eyes. He had come close to finishing it this time. Closer than he ever had before. But in the battle between his personal life and brutal work schedule voktek reigned champion. "do you think i can get a renewal? he smiles sheepishly. Eeliot fidgets with the corner of the book, not meeting the librarian's eyes.

Eeliot takes a hit from his inhaler before accepting the beverage. "I told you to stop calling him that!" He stops himself from looking nervously at the cameras. Valentino might be in a good mood but Vox is hardly sunshine and rainbows after the whole incident with you know who. Eeliot should have seen this coming. But how in the nine rings was he supposed to know the Radio Demon was back if he all-seeing boss wasn't aware. "He's...fine." The Eel chokes out, swallowing his coffee whole.

"Sometimes. Usually I snap out of it once I realize Velvette's demands are too reasonable," She almost cracks a smile at her (depressing) attempt at a joke.

Melissa is quiet while checking her phone, a quick glance before it's shoved back behind her clipboard. "Another forty minutes..." She answers, taking the moment to slouch back against the wall and sigh.

She could use some caffeine too...

Eeliot chokes on a laugh. "Damn!" He hisses through a snort. snatching the voxtex embroidered handkerchief out of his breast pocket, he mops up the espresso spilling out of his nose. "There goes my new shirt. You're sense of humor is almost lethal." He laughs. a crooked smile spreads across his face. the professional act dropped, he lets his stiff shoulders drop. Eeliot checks his v-watch. 40 minutes now. Enough time to sneak off long enough to change. "You think I could borrow something from the fashion studio without getting shanked?" He gives her a sheepish smile. "I can get Travis to cover for us."

"Thank you." Eeliot puts on a polite smile and gives her curt nod. He's two energy drinks in and he's still exhausted. And the amused smile on the bots face isn't reassuring. The things he does for this job. "Mr. Valentino sure has...erm..." he can feel the cameras watching him. "Very exquisite taste." Eeliot forces a smile that comes off as more of a nervous grin. He feels his face heat up when @k17y lists off some of the -uh- less appropriate expenses. He should have been used to it by now. The assistant has overhead and walked in on one too many heady moments between his employers. But hasn't made it any easier. "Can you please elaborate on the description labeled 'sexy reasons'?" He can feel sweat dripping down his face. "Is this a repeat expense? And what about these gas bills. I didn't think Mr. Valentino could still drive...?"

He looks down at the neatly ordered itinerary on his v-pad screen. then back up at the visitor. this definitely does not look like the delivery man. This is going to be another call to security isn't in. Eeliot sighs inwardly. "Sir. Mr. Vox is available by appointment only. And he's booked for the next five months."

"erm. are you here to fix the leak?" he squints at his v-pad to check the schedule. "you are two hours early."
