Especially her hair! I think both styles I gave her suit her sooo well (The one on the right I took inspo of from a lim pjsk Rin card WHICH I DON'T HAVE 💔💔 BUT I WILL GET HER SOMEDAY)
I love the curly/wavy hair especially. I remember seeing some Rin & Meiko art where they were supposed to be greek goddesses or something of the like and Rin's hair was somewhat like this and I fell in LOVE. A lot of hairstyles suit her super well tho lets be so fr.

I struggled a lot with deciding on how I wanted to draw Roro and what pose to have him do and I tweaked out a bit at some point (as I always do when I draw) but I'm mostly happy with the way he's turned out in the end!!
The lip piercings are an hc of mine, that's the only thing I tweaked from his design by the og artist/creator of his design :>

I've been sticking mostly only really listening to vocaloid songs lately (have been for the past year and a half), usually as long as it includes/involves Rin cause she is my absolute favorite lol
I recently discovered the song Record Red by shr which I have been listening to SO MUCH on repeat. I absolutely adore Rin's tuning in the song, my god it's the best tuning of hers I've ever heard. I'll go on a rant about how much I like this song another time, I don't wanna make this longer than I already have 🥀

I’ve always liked the style of illustrations that look like they’re from a fairytale book or just old paintings so I tried to draw Rin and Luka in that kind of vibe . I don’t really ship Rin with anyone but I think she looks good with Luka . The knight outfit isn’t accurate cuz I was too lazy to draw actual armor and stuff .. I tried to use more textured brushes to give an old timey look to the overall drawing, idk if it was effective but it was fun

(A lot of what I said is out of context or will only make sense to people who watched the movie and my thoughts are very incomplete as I'm kinda just going about it by writing however but there's SOO much more I have to say about so many moments and scenes and lines believe me I swear)
Okay so first of all, I hate Bear. He's so selfish and awful. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I somewhat can like, excuse or understand when he made the wish cause like he didn't think it was real and it was just a spur of the moment thing, but that's as far as I can go. I did feel really bad for the things he needed to deal with in some moments. But ALMOST EVERYTHING ELSE he does is so fucking selfish and never considered Nikki's autonomy. The fact that when he called CS he first chose to ALTER the wish??? THIS GUY KNEW HOW AWFUL IT WAS FOR HER THAT HER BEHAVIOUR WAS ABNORMAL AND NOT OKAY BUT HE KEPT DOUBLING DOWN. THIS BITXH 😭
I feel so so bad for Nikki oml in the end SHE has to deal with the consequences and guilt of what went down :(( I can't even imagine being trapped and forced to take a backseat in your own body watching this cursed version of you that doesn't, nor SHOULDN'T exist hurt the people you care about.
She literally BEGGED Bear to kill her when the alt version was sleeping. She was SUFFERING, literally tortured.
The actress SERIOUSLY did such an incredible job bro oml. Don't even get me started on that. Her screaming is haunting especially in that Customer Service bit where she was screaming in the background, and her movements were so uncanny. THE EXPRESSIONS. ALL OF IT SERIOUSLY. I hope she gets nominated for an actress award seriously deserved. Like the way she switches up for screaming her head off to having the smallest softest sweet voice is insane, and the way her face expressions shifts AUGHH 🤌🤌
Icl tho, some of the scenes and the way she acted were kinda funny 😭 Ppl in the theatre laughed at some moments and icl it partly was as a way for us to cope with the anticipation/fear but like, bro icel there were times where I thought "yes girl torment that man" for no reason and her tantrums were funny 💀 🙏 Like, I got second hand embarrassment but it wasn't like, unbearable. It was kinda funny lol
The jumpscares weren't really like the typical ones, it's like, you get the hint of the scare coming but it happens so quickly you can't really prepare yourself for it. I got so startled and screamed at like three of them? Got really startled in a lottt of scenes tho cause the way she be lurking is so freaky.
And the shots are so good. THE LIGHTING!! It was so well-done, there were so many moments where I cowered as I kept watching. In some scenes, Nikki is literally just standing and speaking, even if it's not anything weird but it feels so uncanny. The sound engineering really enhances all those moments so well and REALLY adds to the experience.
There's sm more I wanna yap and rant about but when I sit and type it it just doesn't flow well and I keep losing what I wanna talk about next 😭 I might actually record my thoughts and post it because sometimes I just want people to listen to what I say ahah… Maybe. If I do end up doing that I think it'll be after watching the excluded scenes the Indian censorship board deleted because some of them were apparently quite important/relevant and some of the cutoffs were REALLY abrupt.
Safe to say, I loved the movie... really wanna watch it again 🥹
I have a bunch of things I wanna draw in mind, I really hope I can get around to actually finishing them because I swear I think I'm cooking in some of these ideas🥹
