Sotenius
This is a portrait of Anthina's partner! Sotenius belongs to @Anivethia and I'm so glad to have finally made a matching piece to the one I did of Anthina a year ago <3 they're so cute together I swear hwgohwog
I made 2 versions because I couldn't decide if I wanted to draw him with or without his hood! So I decided both because why not >:)
I've been following the whole Lego scandal with Reckless Ben and I have NEVER been so angry at a police department in my life. They need to get their shit together and stop defending a criminal.
And no, in my opinion, Ben isn't entirely innocent either. I'd say he really took things to the extreme, but either way, the man has guts and is trying his damned hardest to get these plastic bricks back for this guy, and I respect that.
Utah Police has NO excuse to be doing all this lying, illegal redacting of footage, and injuring people for no damn reason. It's funny how in the start the store claims Ben's harassing them for just simply bringing up the stolen sets, yet HE'S the one who gets harassed by the store owners. Genuinely so pissed off at the "justice" system. I hate police. My grandfather was a police officer and I'm still going to say it. I have no respect for corrupt assholes who carry badges just to get on a power trip.
Not all police officers are bad, but 99.9% of them are. Every once in a blue moon you'll find a good one who does what's right, but those usually don't last very long because they either get tired of the corruption or are basically forced to quit. It's awful and disgusting.
I hope Bryan and Ben end up getting into a federal lawsuit and get hella bank from these assholes. No excuse for this. I believe the entire company's hiding something so much larger than what's shown in those videos.

Anthina
Anthina is a noble in the Twilight Realm. Her father holds her up to high expectations, and it all gets worse when she is proven to have little to no magic. Not wanting to disappoint her father, Anthina has attempted to brew potions to prove that she has some worth.
Anthina also has a hired guard, named Sotenius (Ani's OC)! While Anthina is in an arranged marriage, she has other opinions of her fiancé. Sotenius ends up catching her heart instead.

Do you ever wonder if birds think about what it'd be like to eat the Forbidden Foods? Like they see their favorite human eating chocolate and go "Ooo I wonder what it would taste like. I know it would kill me but-" kinda like how we do lava/magma? Forbidden Honey? Hell for all we know there could be a giant alien that eats lava.
Hoo Boy... ArtFight Rule Changes
I have got a LOT to say about ArtFight's considerations to the new rules now that their feedback form is open.
First off, I'm glad they're actually asking what makes our work transformative, because it's a lot of things, actually! Basically everything you draw on that skeleton or traced 3D model counts as transformative. It's not that hard to explain. You are taking that 3D model and adding a unique face to it, unique hair, clothes, features that literally make it into an entirely different character. On top of that, you're putting it into a scene with its own scenery with its own context and artistic expression. Two people can use the same exact 3D model with the same exact pose and the resulting artworks will look completely different. You know why? ART STYLES EXIST, ARTFIGHT.
YES, I think guidelining and tracing 3D models and self-taken/free-to-use photos SHOULD be allowed, because I'm a slow artist who takes her quality very seriously, even if it's gift art! With the amount of attacks I've seen people churn out every year, it's so damn hard to keep up with the flow of traffic. I've seen some people put up 100+ attacks every single year and there's no way they aren't using models or bases in some way. Be realistic here. Either that, or they actually are that fast and/or spend every minute of their day drawing, which is time that a majority of people don't have.
No, you shouldn't deduct points off of people who trace/guideline models and photos! Same reason as to why tracing/guidelining should be allowed in the first place!
Second, their rules about DNIs leave me mostly indifferent. Hot take here, but I genuinely believe DNIs are redundant. Most DNIs have basic lists like, "DNI racists, transphobes, sexists, (etc.)" which, OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T WANT PEOPLE LIKE THAT INTERACTING WITH YOU AND THOSE PEOPLE BEING HATEFUL TOWARDS OTHER GROUPS GOES AGAINST ARTFIGHT'S RULES, and do you really think those people who are morally corrupt and inconsiderate will listen to a list? No! They're going to ignore it and they're going to interact with you anyway! Those kinds of people don't respect boundaries. They never have and they never will.
DNIs are mostly childish and I've seen DNIs that specifically do not want people who have played a certain game or watched a certain show to interact. I'm sorry, but people are allowed to like things that aren't bad. If you don't like someone for liking a certain media (that isn't problematic) THAT bad to the point you don't want any contact with them, then you genuinely have a problem and need help. You are practically spreading hate to a specific group. There are bigger fish to fry right now! Life is hard enough already with bigger problems in it. This is childish behavior and frankly I don't see the logic behind it. People are entitled to have preferences and *gasp* opinions! That's right! The things that make human beings unique are allowed to exist! Shocker! We shouldn't hate or ostracize people for liking a movie, show, videogame, or fandom.
I know I got carried away in the last paragraph and I do not mean to come off as mean-spirited. I'm just tired of people being so petty with the silliest of things while there's bills to be paid, a job to be done, and food to be bought all so you can keep yourself alive. I don't care if you use a DNI. I'll try my best to respect it, but just know that I myself will not be using one (basic criteria still apply, though).
Those are my thoughts on why certain rules should not be allowed or should be allowed. Of course, everyone has different opinions and have the right to express that! I ask that you guys keep the comments civil. I know there's a lot of controversy around this and a lot of people (including me) are fired up. With that in mind, I will try my best to be respectful to you if you want to share your opinions on their rules.

Working on a character fullbody for the first time in ages! This is my new Twili, Anthina (designed by Havok)! She's a noble and she's got no magic, and because of this, her father hired a personal guard for her. That would be @anivethia's lovely Sotenius :)

Outfit Adopts on the Way!
I am excited to announce that I will make some outfit adopts! I plan for them to be Expedition 33 based (of course they could be used for anything, I just love the fashion of E33 and was inspired by it). It will be roughly 5 outfits! I'll accept money or art trades (no character trades, sorry D: I have too many OCs).
You'll see them soon :) I just finished the first one and hopefully by the end of the month they'll all be done.
Stella's Redesign!
Honestly I think she's my favorite out of the three :) She's inspired by the black orchid betta fish!
Stella is a bard who can control water with her musical talent. She plays the violin and frequently performs for the Domain. Sidon and Yona love to see her! She brings in a lot of tourists because of her concerts; they bring both music and magic.
Now that all 3 zora are redesigned, time to focus on other art things 👀
