📚 Zenno Rob Roy 🐎

I'm so proud of the piece I made for @dotzines Year of the Racing Queens fanzine. I started playing Uma Musume a few months ago and I adore the characters, the stories, and of course the art and costume designs 💙 Zenno quickly became one of my favorites after seeing her pop up in the Halloween event stories, and I knew I had to draw her for this zine. She's an avid reader with a huge imagination, and she is kind and strong as she writes her own story with each race 🐎

I went with her casual outfit and set the scene at a peaceful lakeside scene, which is based on the riverside trails I rode my bike around all last summer. Something breezy, beautiful, and peaceful was my goal. The Halloween story had her running around terrified, and I thought she deserved a break with a book 📚

This zine is available for free at this link, definitely check it out if you are a fan of Uma Musume! There were 127 of us making art for this absolutely huge zine, and every piece is full of love and creativity 💙

It's time! The Pokémon Gijinka Zine organized by @dotzines has been released and I can show you all the art I made for it! 🥳 245 of us artists created our own human versions of the Pokémon of Kanto and Johto, both in illustration and reference sheet form, and they were compiled into a free zine just packed with amazing artwork- be sure to check it out!!

My Pokémon was Vulpix, an adorable fox-like creature with six fluffy, toasty-warm tails- a perfect pal for Autumn camping!

I'm working on a video explaining my process and ideas, but for now I hope you enjoy my illustration and refsheet!

Digital Sketchbook Tour Part 2

Some more things in my sketchbook, some finished and some VERY unfinished.. I thought it would be nice to include all of it, though. Sometimes I get so stuck with a project that I have to stop for a while and work on something else... but then weeks, months, or even years later I'll wake up and realize what I need to do to overcome what got me stuck. It's such a wonderful feeling to have it all click into place and to be able to finally create what I envisioned.

Looking back at these, I think I may need to revisit some of these works soon : )

Let's take a look at my digital sketchbook! I use the program Sketchbook by Sketchbook Inc so it's a Sketchbook tour in many ways haha

Lots of unfinished things are in here, and some finished works too. These are from the past few years, I think the earlier ones are from 2021 or so.

Also some of my childhood neopets fanart makes an appearance! I lost the finished piece a long time ago but when I eventually found the drawing I decided to restore it to the way it looked on my pet page. My younger self would have been so happy!

I think I might try and finish some of these this year, looking back there are a lot of fun ideas!

Just in time for the end of the year, I finished my video about my Masks & Mysteries painting collection 🎨🖌️ I talk about the individual paintings and also a little about my experience showing my art and having an artist reception, and there is a bit of rambling but I tried keeping it under control haha
