Hi everyone, so for not posting for a while, but the reason will be explained in my next post. Most of my work has felt boring and uninteresting past a certain point, so I'm restarting from episode three(four and later will be scrapped and remade to be funner)
Most things will rehappen just in a different way.
???: “It looks like something I’ve seen from legends. A time gear maybe?”
???: “No. If it was a time gear, everything would be frozen.”
???: “Oh! It’s a little different.”
???: “I’m taking this home with me!”
Some time later, the figure returns home.
The Eeveelution house doesn’t look the greatest. Vanity repairs have been neglected, the small statues outside have crumbled to bits. The windows are cracked, but only the broken ones have been replaced.
???: “I… always forget this happened. I always come home expecting things to be the way they were. I remember Vee’s smiling face, begging for an adventure that no one gave him.”
???: “Now, Vee’s gone off in search of Crystal.”
???: “If only… it was me instead of Crystal.”
???: “If I had gone to Alola, none of this would have ever happened.”
The figure looks up at the sky longingly. She remembers having to break the news to Vee so long ago. Yet it feels like yesterday… yesterday that she told Vee that some Team Flare grunts caught Crystal in Alola. Yesterday that the shadow Pokemon attacked the boxes.
The Pokemon had been fought off, but nothing feels real anymore.
Mega Evolution. Mega evolution gave the shadow Pokemon even greater power. Overwhelming power.
It… it made no sense how they Mega evolved without a trainer.
The damaged doors to the Eeveelution house creek open, Volt emerges from inside. Volt looks at the ground. He doesn’t let himself meet the figures gaze.
“Ribbons.” He starts. “You have to move on. Or nothing will get better.”
Ribbons doesn’t flinch. She continues daydreaming of a better world. She’s met so many Pokemon, seen so many things. And yet. Her efforts are for nothing. Why can’t anyone just be. Happy
Volt sighs to himself. “Ribbons… I’ll see you later.” Volt slides back inside, the doors creak shut behind him. Leaving Ribbons alone.
The weird time gear like object slides loosely from her grip, clattering on the floor loudly “W-wha!”
Ribbons sighs in disbelief. She must be losing herself too. She stares at the object longingly, hoping she can find it’s purpose.
The replica time gear has some carvings written in Unknown laced around the outer circle, reading “When one’s heart truly wishes for change. Bring me to the Spear Pillar.” The other side has similar carvings, but this time, a warning. “When one’s heart truly wishes for change, it will set itself upon that path until change takes place.”
“Spear… Pillar?” Ribbons muses to herself. That name sounds oddly familiar. “That place in the Sinnoh Region… the temple of Dialga and Palkia.”
Ribbons steps backwards away from the artifact. The only way to be certain that it is real is to test it.
Energy charges up in her body, preparing her attack for the test. “Dazzling Gleam!” Light BURSTS from her four ribbons, blasting the artifact with burning light and sparkles. The relic is sent flying towards a snapped tree and lodges itself firmly inside the stump.
Ribbons pads over to inspect the artifact. Ribbons gasps in surprise. The relic remains undamaged. The dust slowly settles, leaving no evidence behind except the damaged stump, and the obliterated leaves hit in the crossfire.
“This, this is real!” Ribbons firmly wraps her ribbons around the artifact, just managing to wedge them in the space between the artifact and the stump. She pulls with all her strength and WHAM. The artifact is pulled free.
Ribbons stumbles backwards a little bit, but quickly regains her footing. “No warping, no melting! This is a real artifact!”
Ribbons has more questions than answers. What does that warning mean. What change can it bring. How did this end up in the PC system? But she has no time. If this artifact has even the slightest change of making things better, she has to take it.
Ribbons carries the artifacts using one of her hind ribbons. She pushes open the creaky double doors with her forepaws, not even bothering to met anyone’s gaze.
Everyone in the Eeveelution house looks depressed. Nothing has gone right recently. But there’s no time. Ribbons can’t stand seeing anyone this sad anymore, she has to fix things.
When the shadow Pokémon attacked, they heavily damaged the PC system, but she might be able to use an emergency backdoor method to withdraw herself from a PC system in Sinnoh. Hopefully the one near mount Coronet.
Ribbons slips into her room. Despite everything, nothing much has changed her. She has gear for taking care of kits and younger Eevee’s lying around. Posters on the wall, heating pads and more. Her dusty laptop lies on her small desk, waiting for use.
Without hesitation, Ribbon flips open the lab top and tries the emergency procedures. “Come on, come on!” Ribbons gasps. “Yes!” The screen flashes ‘backdoor successful’ in bold white letters.
If she leaves, she might be able to come back for a long time. Not until they fix the pc system. But Ribbons doesn’t care, this is a risk worth taking.
Her paw slides over to the confirm button. Suddenly, Ribbons and the artifact are engulfed in white light. With a pop! Ribbons vanishes completely.
Wind. Silence. Nothing. Then. Something.
Everything is blurry. Everyone is blurry.
Ribbons pushes herself up from the ground, a little disoriented but okay. Around her is a Bustling Pokémon center. Nurse joy talks with a trainer behind her counter, oblivious to the Sylveon. A few decorations and plastic potion bottles lay on display. A reminder to take potions and revives when scaling the mountain. Poké marts and Pokemon centers are separate buildings in the Sinnoh region, but they always stick close by each other.
Ribbons waits a few seconds, making a decision. How will she activate the electronic doors designed for humans? Ribbons looks up, and has a plan. She sits next to the door, halfway hidden behind a potted plant.
A trainer with a blue scarf walks into the Pokémon center, walking past Ribbons. Ribbons senses the opportunity and darts straight out the exit. The doors shut with a click. Nobody even noticed the Sylveon slip outside.
Outside is a scene that can only be described as one, giant, mountain.
Ribbons slowly take’s a few steps back. “W-woah. T-this is bigger than I thought.” She clutches the artifact even tighter with her ribbon.
The mountain looms ahead. Dirt trails littered with sticks that cut off at different points lead up the mountain. Ribbons notices some cave entrances that might be shortcuts, while considering taking one, a sharp, shrill cry from ahead reminds Ribbons of one thing. Wild Pokémon.
She has to avoid them as much as possible. Ribbons is strong, but she might not be stronger than the locals. She vows out loud “I have to do this. If I don’t. Nothing could change. I HAVE to try.”
The mountain is also covered in rocky walls. Every few minutes, a random little rock falls down a cliffside. It doesn’t seem dangerous. Yet.
The top of the mountain is covered in snow and ice glistening in the sunlight. The sight makes Ribbons feels… happy. Like she can forget about all her troubles and just melt away in the snow. But after a while, Ribbons slowly fades back into the present.
Ribbons takes this moment to heart. She can fix everything. If she just… tries hard enough. If this artifact really works.
Ribbons take’s a deep breath and shouts “I can and will climb this mountain!” into the air.
She glances to the left, noticing the start of the trail and a sign. Ribbons walks over to the sign curiously. Once at the sign, she reads it aloud. “Spear Pillar: —— mile journey.” Ribbons pokes the sign, nothing. “Why is the mile marker scratched out?” She wonders aloud.
“This path is usually up kept, visitors come here all the time. The tour guides can’t have missed this. This must be recent.”
Ribbons leans her head around the sign, getting glimpse of the long trail ahead. She sighs, knowing what she has to do. Ribbons drops down on all fours in embarrassment and stands like up a wild Pokémon. She mutters “I hate when I do this.”
Ribbons almost never walks on all fours, but she needs all the stamina she can get for this journey.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part two:
Ribbons walks up the trail ahead. Leaves crunch under Ribbon paws, muffling the sound of Starly chirping on the nearby trees. The environment is tranquil.
She loosens the tension in her shoulders, getting into the pace of the journey. She holds the artifact tightly in her ribbons, not wanting to lose it subconsciously.
The first turn comes up on the trail, slightly obscured from her vision. A new trail sign points her left, and she does so. The sun has slightly gone done, not yet sunset, but definitely past noon.
The trail becomes more gravely, dirt slowly making way for rougher terrain. The leaves remain present, no wind has swept them away yet.
Ribbons walks further and further up the trail. She notices the path is slightly steeper than before. Glancing ahead, she sees the trail becoming steeper the higher it gets.
Ribbons presses onwards while trees blur past and leaves crunch underfoot without much thought. While not paying attention, Ribbons stumbles on a rock and yelps “W-Woah!”
Regaining her balance, Ribbon chuckles to herself. “Oops! Wasn’t paying attention.” Ribbons feels something… something she hasn’t felt in a long time. The spirit of adventure. Forgetting about the artifact, Ribbons nearly lets it slip out of her loosened grip.
Ribbons gasps, quickly tightening her grip before she drops it. “Oh. That’s right. Nearly forgot why I was here.”
Dusting herself off, she continues her journey up the mountain. The trees become less frequent as she travels, and Ribbons doesn’t hear the Starly chirping anymore.
Ribbons feels the air growing colder and colder, sending a slight chill down her spine. Losing track of time, Ribbons checks the sunlight. Noticing it’s almost sunset. She picks up the pace, looking for shelter.
After a short while Ribbons arrives to the next checkpoint, and conveniently, the first shortcut cave.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part 3:
The caves are dangerous, but she can travel during the night using these. Ribbons has to be careful not to get lost. Feeling determined, Ribbons breaks away from the trail heading straight for the cave.
Ribbons walks right up to the cave entrance. The cave has stalactites hanging from the ceiling. The stalactites look like teeth, making the cave look like a huge mouth. Water drips slowly from the ceiling.
Ribbons squints her eyes. Nothing. Just darkness. “This will save a lot of time. I just need to play my cards right and not encounter any territorial Pokémon.”
Ribbons steps into the cave. The cold air hits immediately. She shivers, wrapping her spare ribbon feelers around herself to conserve body heat. She takes a shakes step forward. Then another.
Taking a few more shaky steps, she regains her balance in the wet and cold environment.
Inside the cave, the noises become echoed. Ribbons gets an idea. “Hello! Hello… hello… hello.” Ribbon’s childishly giggles to herself. She is reminded of her old self. Before she evolved.
Ribbons used to live near a cave. Just like this one but less scary. She’d love to shout into the cave and echo, until she one day annoyed a wild Pokémon enough to get a jumpscare. She’d stopped doing it after that, but she’d still muster up the courage to sit near the entrance and listen to the sounds of the water dripping and noises echoing in the cave.
The Stalactite filled cave echoes cries of Zubats screeching for echolocation. The sunlight slowly dims as the sun goes further down. The cave isn’t completely pitch black, bioluminescent fungus grows across the floor, revealing stalagmites hidden alongside the walls.
Ribbons presses into the cave. Her footsteps echo gently and softly, near silent when mixed with the other noises in the cave. The cave feels massive in width and height, only seeming to get even bigger the further she goes in.
The environment slowly shifts to include even more fungi, sometimes even clinging to a stalactite. Ribbons serves away from a patch of fungi she nearly steps in. The Zubat cries grow less frequent and more scarce.
Ribbons takes in the scenery, growing a little suspicious of the mushrooms. The floor becomes damp and slippery. Ribbons slows down to keep from slipping.
Ribbons finds a special chamber in the cave. “The mushrooms are changing colors!” Ribbons yelps. “These ones on the roof are yellow, and these ones over here are red!”
She hasn’t seen many mushrooms before, so these colors are a big surprise to her.
Ribbons climbs up a little ledge, keeping the artifact held tight. “Almost there, I think I can see light.”
There’s a light across a small ravine cutting across the cave. Ribbons can’t see the bottom from here. “That’s… a little scary.”
She takes a deep breath and motivates herself. “Okay, I can do this.” It doesn’t work very well. “Come on. I’ve come so far, and I can’t go back now.”
Ribbons takes a closer look at the raven. It’s about 3 yards wide, she’ll definitely need a running start. She plants all four feet on the ground and takes another deep breath. “Here we go.”
She takes off running, wind blows her loose ribbons around in the air. The cave’s low friction doesn’t help, but she gets some good speed. Right near the gap, she jumps. “Aaaaah!” she yelps about halfway across. She lands three fourths of her body across the other end of the ravine. Her hind legs dangle precariously over the edge. “EEEK NONONONONO!” she screeches while clawing herself up the ledge.
After pulling herself up, she sighs in relief. “Phew.” She wipes some sweat off her head. “Thank Arceus I made it. Volt would have killed me.”
She looks over at the cave’s exit, the light blinds her momentarily. “Ow! That’s a little too bright.” Her eyes haven’t adjusted yet.
Ribbons squints until her eyes stop watering.
Outside the cave, she feels even colder air chill her face. “W-woah! I forgot how cold mountains are.” She takes a deeper breath than before, trying to get used to the thinner air.
The landscape outside has drastically changed. She’s several miles up, the cave had slowly slopped upwards, and the ledges helped her gain even more height. It’s day again, and the sun is peaking from the cliffside.
Ribbons glances off the side of the mountain. “Woah…” she gasps. The Sinnoh region looks beautiful from up here. Towns, cities and beaches cover the earth. People and Pokemon live in harmony here, accepting and growing from each other. “This is… amazing!”
Ribbons takes a moment to reminisce about when things used to be easier. If only… something changed. She clutches the artifact even tighter, making a silent promise.
The only way further up the mountain is a spiral path that spins to the left. Ribbons walks further and further. She climbs over a few rocks. The path hasn’t been maintained very well. Only experienced trainers and Pokemon climb this high up here.
Suddenly, a Mightyena howls. She defensively wraps her loose ribbons around herself. “Come on.” she whispers. “Spear Pillar can't be far now.”
Ribbons has walked even further up the mountain. A gust of wind blows in her face and she steps in some snow. She shivers while her body adjusts to the temperature. “Brrrr!” She shivers again.
The sun rises even higher, casting goofy shadows on everything. “Heh, my shadow looks ridiculous!"
Ribbons keeps going until she steps on a weird rock. “Ouch! Why is it so sharp?” Ribbons digs in the snow, then she finds an old stone tile half buried in the dirt, covered up even more by the snow. “What… what is this?” She asks. She thinks about it for a minute. Suddenly, it hits her. “WAIT!” she gasps. “I’M CLOSE TO SPEAR PILLAR.”
Ribbons takes off running. She runs at light speed on all fours, getting faster and faster. Naked trees and rocks blur past as she runs and runs. A weird object gets closer and closer to Ribbons. She skids to a stop. “Is this…” she murmurs. “SPEAR PILLAR!” She gasps at the stairs leading up to the ruined temple. “I made it! I really made it!.”
The snow melts the moment it lands on the stone tiles, leaving Spear Pillar perfectly untouched, if not a little wet. Ribbons can’t wait any longer, she slowly walks up the stairs leading up to the temple. Ribbons can feel the artifact getting restless and shaky in her grip, or maybe it’s just her own excitement.
The temple is massive and ancient. Several collapsed pillars and a old ceiling litter the ground. Above all else is a little stone pedestal off to the side with some carvings on it. It doesn’t look like much at first, but there is a carving like is shaped suspiciously like the artifact Ribbons is carrying. Ribbons brings the artifact to the pedestal. The carvings written in unknown start to glow. Ribbons sets the artifact on the ground and finally stands up on two legs again. She picks the artifact back up in her paws and carefully inserts it in the stand. Suddenly, the ground shakes and a little compartment opens up in the pedestal. Ribbons looks inside and finds a little amulet. “What is this?” she asks.
Inside the compartment there is also a little piece of paper, somehow preserved after thousands of years.
The paper reads “To find this, you must have wanted a second chance. Something went wrong. Drastically wrong. Whether it be a relationship, a death, or the end of the world. It doesn’t matter. Your heart craves change, and this amulet WILL give it to you. Take this with a warning, you will be sent backwards in life to the point your heart craves most, trapped in a timeloop until the change happens, or your heart loses its desire. Use this wisely, or risk becoming mad, lost in time itself.”
Ribbons flips the paper around. “Place the amulet on your neck, and grasp the second change your heart desires. For there is no other way.”
A gust of wind blows past Ribbons, yoinking the paper out of her hand and across the mountain. She doesn’t care anymore, she read EVERYTHING. This is all she had hoped for, exactly what she needed.
She takes a moment to reflect on what went wrong. It all started when Luna sent Vee on a mission he wasn’t prepared for with Crystal. Neither of them had enough experience to prepare for what happened next. Crystal got lost and caught by team Flare, and Vee came back shaken and alone. She has to prepare them, or at least Vee somehow.
Then, a few months later, the same shadow Pokemon that attack the search party looking for Vee struck again, this time directly in the boxes themselves. This isn’t the first time that had happened, but this time, nobody was prepared for their strength. The overwhelming might of Pokemon who have corrupted themselves so much. Everyone fell apart.
Magenta left to some far off region in search of peace. Vee left to go find Crystal, and he never came back. Volt is stuck trying to keep everything normal, but it isn’t working very well. Psy is harassing everyone tenfold, and Luna is stuck trying to manage it all. Whats worse, Flare died in the raid. That’s what really sent everyone over the edge. Dusk doesn’t talk much anymore, not since his friends lost everything.
It breaks Ribbons heart to see everyone like this, she knows when to start. A few days before everything happened, before Vee’s first journey, Vee was looking for adventure, but nobody would help him. Nothing much happened that day, but what if something did. Something innocent yet inconvenient enough to trigger everybody.
What if she does something as simple as raid the kitchen of everything. Luna can easily replace the food, but she’d still launch an investigation. If she volunteers and takes Vee along with her, she might find some way in order to prepare him.
It hits her, Volt sometimes had talked about the guild sometimes doing investigations. If Ribbons takes Vee to the guild and hires somebody there, Vee might get interested enough to join while he’s still in the mood.
Ribbons can’t think of anything to do with Crystal, she doesn’t know him well enough, but maybe just Vee being strong enough to protect him might help. Crystal still won’t likely return, but the hope that Vee will fare a little better keeps her plan going.
Ribbons has to do research on the shadow Pokemon as soon as she goes back, and maybe everyone else will be ready for the next attack. She can’t prevent the first one that happens a few months before Vee looks for adventure, but she can hopefully stop or weaken the next one.
Ribbons looks at the sky longingly, the sun now directly above her. She grabs the amulet in her paws and slowly puts it on. At first nothing happens, just a minor itch. Then, it starts tingling, reaching into her heart and soul. Searching for one thing. Hope and desire. The desire for change. It finds exactly what it’s looking before.
Ribbons shivers as a rush of energy shoots through her spine. “W-whah!” She stumbles down onto her knees, using a third paw to keep from falling down. The amulet shakes and trembles as she holds on to the ground.
Without warning, her body is engulfed in a brilliant blue light. It feels like evolution all over again, but this time, she isn’t changing. The world around her is. Everything grows blurry, a timeline of events plays through Ribbons head until everything just. Stops.
She opens her eyes, the light changing. Less natural now, and more… electronic. She is standing in the hallway, right outside where the younger kits live and play inside the Eeveelution house. She’s holding something, a list of names.
“Where am I… Huh!?” She gasps. She remembers now. This is a few days before Vee’s shenanigans, right before she had a playdate with the kits.
Magenta walks down the hallway past her, not even noticing anything unusual with Ribbons.
The amulet is gone, completely used up for her one wish. It happened. Change happened.
“I’m… back.” She whispers to herself as a tear runs down her cheek. “I’m really back.” She gasps, trying not to sob. This isn’t a dream, everything feels too real. The paper in her hand, the feeling of tears running down her face. She isn’t sad. She’s happy. Glad. Hopeful.
Everything can be fixed, and if it doesn’t work. She can try again.
“Magenta.” She whispers. Not anywhere near loud enough for Magenta to hear. “Flare will be okay. Vee will be okay. Crystal… I hope… might be okay.”
She recomposes herself before entering the room. The tears are gone, replaced with a huge smile. “Hello everybody!”
“Ribbons!” One of the kits cheers. A slightly shyer but bolder Eevee sneaks up and clings to Ribbons leg. “Hi Ribbons!”
Ribbons beams back down at the kit. “I have lots of games today!” She pats the Eevee on her head.
One of the other kits speaks in a muffled voice. “Ribbons, Ribbons, look what I did!”
Ribbons turns to find that he caught his own tail in her mouth, refusing to let go. “I caught my own tail.”
“Wow!” The kit clinging to Ribbons beams. “How’d you do it?”
“Well.” The Eevee starts. “It’s easy because my tail is super long and fluffy.”
“I wish my tail was longer.” Says another Eevee in the back.
“Ribbons?” An extra shy Eevee in the corner whispers.
“Yes Elva?” Ribbons replies with a huge smile. “What do you think I’ll evolve into?” She asks. Ribbons takes a moment to think before replying. “Whatever you want to be.”
Elva jumps and down and beams. “I want to be a Sylveon like you!”
This makes Ribbons smile even wider. “Really?” She asks. She can’t remember this conversation happening before, not with everything else that happened. Maybe it’s only happening because of her improved mood. Or maybe it happened last time. Who knows?
The kit jumps up and down again. “Yes, Really!”
Ribbons plays with the kits and shows them all sorts of new games and activities she had never thought of before, not without her adventures elsewhere. Her new favorite game is the climb the mountain, imagining what journeying through Sinnoh feels like.
“I want to he champion!” Another kit chirps. “It’s my dream!”
Ribbons doesn’t frown, but doesn’t smile either. “Becoming stronger is hard work. Especially not losing yourself along the way. It’ll take lots of time, are you prepared for this?”
The kit wags his tail. “Yes I am! I’ll make sure to stay myself as well!”
Ribbons smiles at his enthusiasm. “Anything is possible.” She throws away the piece of paper, not needing it anymore. “I have to get going.” She says.
“Awwwww!” The kits whine in unison. “Why Ribbons?” Asks Elva.
“Because.” She starts. “I have my own journey ahead.”

Let’s go you guys! Sorry this took so long. This was Ribbons backstory and why she acts so weird. Ribbons felt like a weird character to keep writing about without explaining much about. As we keep going through my story, I want to remind you about something. This was heavily inspired by SSEC, and even though they never had time travel (I think) I want to show you how passionate I am about my project by giving you the chance to vote.
On the R/Eeveelution squad subreddit, I made a poll asking about what region you want the next episode to take place in!
I also want to remind you that I make some episodes story focused, and other focused about shenanigans. I’m changing the formula a hit starting with this episode. Now my episode are not stuck to ten or less parts, and I instead can make them as long as I want.
I hope you had fun reading this, sorry about the mess!
Thats it! I’m reintroducing the commentary I had from the pilot.
I’m repainting the locations and expanding them. It feels better.
shoutout to @fernandoapika24 for some feedback!
Episode 6: Go touch grass, now!
Magenta is cleaning up the living room, dusting the TV shelf, throwing the couch cushions in the washer, and straightening things out.
The curtains catch Magenta’s eye. “Hey! I wonder why these things are never open.” Magenta grabs one of the curtains blocking the windows, but it doesn’t have anything to open, it’s just a sheet.
“Huh? This is strange, what kind of curtains don’t have any way to open?” Magenta wonders aloud. Magenta looks up to find where the curtains hang from.
The curtains each are hanging from two hooks on the wall. Magenta borrows a step stool and climbs up to remove each of the curtains, revealing beautiful windows hidden behind them.
Magenta steps back to admire her work. “Wow! I’ve never seen such a good view of outside from here! I’m not putting these curtains back on, a little sunshine will definitely be nice!”
Vee walks in through the left hallway, suddenly getting blinded by window glare. “Woah! Why is it so bright?”
Magenta giggles to herself. “Sorry Vee! I just took off the curtains!”
Vee opens his eyes again, this time being more careful not to be blinded. He can’t believe it, these windows were here this entire time?
“Wow! We have windows?” Vee takes in the sight, he definitely overlooked the curtains before, and there’s only one left hanging on the wall.
“Magenta, take that one down!” Vee points to the last curtain on the wall.”
Magenta gasps. “Oops! I forgot.” She giggles to herself. Magenta pushes the step stool to the back wall, next to a door Vee has never used before, and takes down the curtain.
Vee gasps in amazement, behind the window is an entire yard Vee has never seen before. “We have a backyard!?” Vee can’t stop wagging his tail, this is awesome!
Magenta nods. “Yup! I’ve never shown you before, I’m a little shy about it.”
“So that’s what that door is used for!” Vee can’t believe there has been a backyard this entire time, what else is in the Eeveelution house?
Magenta is pleased by Vee’s reaction. “I’m so glad I showed you this!” She wags her own leaf tail. Vee’s energy is so contagious that even Magenta can’t help but smile even wider.
A perky Eevee with flight goggles stands on the edge of a mountain, supported by some wood planks.
A concerned Pidgey turns to his friend. “Breeze, do you want to do this?”
Homemade flight gear rests beside Breeze, the wooden planks are actually a runway built for flying type Pokémon.
Breeze laughs bravely. “Yes!” He double checks the flight gear, he checks the cord used to expend the wings, making sure it works.
Fluster looks worried. “Remember Breeze, if you fall I’ll catch you.”
Breeze is too confident in himself to be concerned about failure, this has to work! “Can’t catch me if I don’t fall!”
Breeze grabs snuggles into his flight gear, lowing the goggles over his eyes. He pulls the leather belt to tighten the straps on his belly.
Now, for the grand reveal! Breeze pulls the cord with his teeth, and leather wings unfurl from the contraption. The suit looks amazing! Breeze is like a pilot, except he is also the plane.
Even Fluster is impressed. “Oh wow Breeze, this might… actually work!”
“Was there ever any doubt?” Breeze cockily replies. Breeze spreads his legs out and takes off running, reaching the end of the platform in seconds. Fluster covers his eyes and Breeze jumps.
Fluster can hear Breeze yell “Woah!” Before it fades away. He tentatively walks to the edge of the platform and looks down, expecting to see Breeze falling.
“Where did he go?” Breeze is completely out of sight. Fluster jumps off the platform and takes flight.
Breeze is soaring! Or more like gliding underneath the platforms blind spot. Slowly descending further down the mountain. Fluster can’t believe his eyes, Breeze actually did it!
Fluster descends down to Breeze, who’s gliding through the beautiful mountain landscape. “Breeze! You did it!”
Breeze does a barrel roll to face Fluster mid air. “I know!” He yells. “Isn’t this amazing?”
Fluster nods, speeding up to catch Breeze. “You should show the rest of the Sky clan this!”
Breeze smiles playfully. “You have to catch me first!”
Luna is sitting in her office, stacking paper, putting things away and tidying her space.
The memory of the last meeting comes to her mind. The living room was cramped and uncomfortable. Almost no one anyone showed up, and it was a real disaster. “I need to make some changes.” Luna realizes.
Luna opens the cabinet’s and checks the blueprints for. The blueprints show an unused room at the right hallway across the living room. “I should make a meeting room, get some things done.”
Looking around Luna’s office, not much in terms of decoration exists. It’s pretty boring in here. “And maybe upgrade my office, I need something to look at other than stupid paperwork.”
Luna checks the extra budget, a lot of it was spent on the eevee recovery mission, but there is 50k Poké left, perfect for renovations.
“Good.” Luna says to herself. “I should get started soon.”

Episode 6.3: Eevolve
This is the last or second to last appearance of the common room before I rework it.
Vee is looking for adventure! He knows about his training with Volt later, but he can’t wait.
He decides to check the common room, he never goes there very often. It should be easy to find a Eevee in need of help!
Vee enters the common room through the hallway. Many Eevee’s pass by with hardly a glance, but Vee doesn’t care.
“This place would look better if they knocked down the walls.” Vee says to himself as he walks through one of the doorless frames.
Adventure could be around the corner. Vee doesn’t give up so easily.
Flare leans up against the back wall shyly, just kind of observing everyone in the common room.
Flare notices Vee from across the room. “Hey Vee.” He waves.
Vee’s ears suddenly perk up and yells “Flare!” Vee turns his head and spots Flare hanging out by a wall.
“Flare, I’m looking for adventure!”
“But don’t you have training with Volt later?” Flare tilts his head.
“I can’t help myself!” Vee rubs the back of his head nervously. He blushes in embarrassment.
Cracking a smile, Flare says “Oh well, sometimes you can’t help youself.”
Eevee’s continue to pass by, ignoring the conversation. Psy slips around without anyone noticing. She notices the conversation between Flare and Vee and feels a little jealous.
How come Vee can just… talk to people without making them nervous?
Psy huffs away, not wanting to concern herself with Vee.
Feel has an idea for conversation. “Vee, what are you going to evolve into?”
Vee’s ears droop. “I don’t want to evolve.”
Flare almost gasps, Vee doesn’t want to evolve? “W-w-w… huh?” Why doesn’t Vee want to evolve? “But you’ll get stronger!”
Vee shakes his head in embarrassment. “I know, but I like being an Eevee.”
Flare feels a pang of regret for his own accidental evolution. “That’s really how you feel?”
Vee nods his head. “Yup!” He wags his tail, bringing back his mood.
Crystal and Dusk are in the living room together. They both noticed the lack of curtains, but don’t really know each other that well.
Crystal makes the first move. “Hey! I’ve never seen an Umbreon up close before!”
Dusk slowly turns his head to Crystal. “U-um?” Crystal feels awkward. Dusk smiles. “Look no further! Most Pokémon can’t tell, but I am a certified 100% authentic Umbreon.”
Crystal blinks. Then he giggles once. “Ha.” He giggles again. “Ha!” Crystal tries not to laugh, but it’s not working.
“Aww whats wrong?” Dusk asks playfully. “Come on, laugh!”
Crystal can’t hold it back any longer. “Hahahahahhahaha!” A tear runs down his cheek.
Dusk smiles. “There we go!”
Dusk can read emotions pretty well, Crystal was definitely trying to suppress himself. Dusk must get to the bottom of this.
Crystal rolls around on the floor. “Hahaha! H-how are you so funny? That joke was so lame.”
Dusk doesn’t miss a beat. “You know, I’m just the class clown!” Dusk poses dramatically. “But what about you? I’ve heard from Vee you’re a energetic goofball, but you seem to be holding yourself back a little.” Crystal tries to put on a straight face, but he can’t stop smiling.
“Come on.” Dusk teases. “You can tell me.”
“Well…” Crystal starts. “Luna told me that I need to get serious to join the guild and-” Dusk cuts Crystal off.
Dusk blows a raspberry. “Who cares what Luna says!”
“Wha?” Crystal is confused. “You can’t just defy Luna, she owns the Evelution house!”
“Ha! I do it all the time!” Dusk sticks his tongue out playfully. “Sure, some rules you gotta follow, but no one, and I mean no one can stop you from being youself.” Dusk stands up off the couch. “Next time you see Vee, make sure to pounce on him for me okay?”
Crystal smiles and nods. “Okay!”

Episode 6.5: What a place!
The guild building has been pretty vague this entire time.
I don’t know about you but I am pretty sure guilds have more than a single training ground, a lobby and a supplies room turned office.
Vee Rex and Crystal are waiting outside of the guild waiting for Rex together.
Crystal is bouncing around the yard. Hopping around on all fours.
Vee breaks the ice. “Crystal, you look so much better!”
Crystal can’t stop himself from smiling. He stops jumping for a moment to say “Thanks Vee!”
Rex is confused. “Crystal, whats with the mood change?”
“Well… you see…” Crystal starts. “Before I joined the guild for real Luna gave me some advice.” He slows down a little.
“What advice?” Vee asks.
“Luna told me to be more mature and not pounce on everybody I met.” He admits sheepishly.
Rex has the realization that Crystal was so much different than how Vee described him, is this why? Vee feels a little annoyed. “That was my favorite part about you Crystal!” Vee huffs. “Luna can’t tell you that!”
Crystal can’t help but smile at Vee’s defensiveness. “Don’t worry Vee. Dusk told me not to listen.”
Rex brings up a fair argument. “Well… you gotta be mature sometimes, but I agree. She can’t tell something like that.”
Crystal leans up against Vee. “I am not taking that advice from Luna anymore!” Feeling content with his decision, Crystal resumes hopping around.
Vee’s ears perk up. “Haha! That looks like fun!” Vee stands up to join in.
Right before Vee can move, the doors to the guild open. Volt steps out of the building confidently. “Hey guys!” Volt calls out. “Who’s ready for a tour of the guild?”
Vee raises a paw in the air and yells “Me! Me!”
Crystal doesn’t want Vee to beat him. He hops right next to Vee and pushes him playfully. “No, me first!”
Rex and Volt exchange a glance, both smiling under their facade.

Episode 6.6: Welcome home tour
Here comes the tour!
I wrote half this episode at a completely different date than I resumed to so sorry if the transition is sudden. Trying out a new thing with my writing.
Volt lead Vee Rex and Crystal into the guild’s lobby.
Volt suddenly remembers something. “I haven’t given you guys a proper welcome yet. Welcome to the Rising Stars guild!”
Vee is amazed by the awesome name. “Wow! That name is so cool!”
Rex is a little more skeptical. “Rising Stars? That’s a little on the nose.” Crystal on the other hands nods eagerly with Vee.
Volt waves his paw dismissively. “Come on! It’s a great name!” He puts his paws on his hips. “It wasn’t me who came up with the name anyway.”
Volt signals for the trio to follow. “Come on! There’s more to this guild than just the lobby.”
Volt leads the trio to the counter in the back of the lobby, where the Zorua is waiting for something to happen. “Hey Zorua.”
The Zorua looks up, almost eagerly. “Oh, it’s you Volt.” He sighs but tilts his chin up. “What’chu need?”
Volt points to the trio. “I’m checking to see if Vee, Rex and Crystal have clearance to check out the rest of the guild.”
The Zorua barely glances at Vee before remembering his face. “Oh yeah, the new team.” He pulls out some papers from under the desk. “Yup. 100% good to go.”
Volt nods respectfully to the Zorua. He nods back and puts away the papers.
Crystal cheers “Yay!”
Vee can’t stop smiling, this is it! He’s about to meet the rest of the guild with his friends.
To the left of the counter there is a door. One Vee hadn’t noticed before. “Is that where we go?”
Volt nods. “Yup! The lobby is only a part of the guild, the rest of it is behind there.”
Rex sniffs the air curiously. “I’ve smelled pokemon in here before, but I never could find them!”
Volt nods. “We have over 15 guild members, including you guys!” He steps towards the door and rests his paw on the nob, “Ready to see what lies beyond?”
Vee nods eagerly. “Yes yes!” Crystal copies Vee. “Yes!” Rex’s tail wags in response.
Volt smirks knowingly. “Good, once you’ve stepped through, your entire lives will be an adventure.”
Volt wastes no more time opening the door. Inside is a vast space with many Pokemon. To the left is a few small couches spaced apart. To the right is a beaten up box with some random items and a door. But above all else, the mission board lies on the dead opposite side of the room.
Vee rushes over, feeling more adventurous than ever. He has read a few books and knows exactly what this board is.
Rex is a little more in control of himself, but still excited. “Sweet, the mission board!”
Volt nods back. “I assume you all know already what that.” He points to the mission board, as if it wasn’t already the center of attention. “Is?”
Vee and Rex nod, while Crystal shakes his head no. “Come on guys! Tell me what that is?”
Volt prepares an explanation. “The mission board is where we find our jobs. Other Pokémon come here and post missions. Branching from boring F rank missions to S rank missions. The higher the letter grade, the tougher and more dangerous the mission is.”
Crystal’s eyes sparkle in amazement. “Wow! All of that from this thingy?”
“Yup!” Volt repeats. “I’m sure you guys can handle at least a D rank, considering how well you did on the mission Luna sent you on.”
Volt’s statement raises a question for Vee. Tilting his head, Vee asks “How are guild missions different than the one Luna sent us out on?”
“Well.” Volt explains. “Luna can’t technically force you to do it, but she is one of the leaders of our clan. Beyond that, you get paid on guild missions, with a small fee taken by the guild itself. Oftentimes you’ll also find items in the places you go to rescue others. Those won’t be taxed off you.”
Rex and Crystal try to keep up with Volt’s information dump, but it’s already quite a handful. On the other hand, Vee seems to understand perfectly well.
In the background, an adventurous Shinx talks with a less than chill Dartrix.
The Shinx keeps his guard up, whispering to make sure they aren’t overheard. “Dartrix, look over there.” He looks up, pointing at Volt. “Is that… really him?”
The Dartix gasps at the sight of Volt. He thought Volt stopped doing missions after his partners quit. “It is!”
Volts ears twitch, almost overhearing the conversation. “Shhhhh! Don’t let him hear you!”
The Dartix covers his mouth. “Sorry Shinx.” Taking the time to watch Volt, he notices his companions. Vee, Rex and Crystal. “Hey Shinx?” Shinx looks up, his eyes glinting off of sunlight from a nearby window. “Yeah?”
“Isn’t that the Pokémon who fought the Arcanine in the middle of our fight?” Shinx squints his eyes. He recognizes them from that big fight with the shadow Pokemon during the rescue mission gone weird. “Oh yeah! That’s the Rockruff that crashed into you.”
“Don’t blame him.” Dartrix shrugs. “They only have a little fighting experience, and we weren’t much help either.”
The Shinx sighs, a little disappointed in himself. “Yeah, but at least they actually managed to rescue the Eevee. Even stunning the Arcanine long enough to escape.”
The Dartix looks back at the bad memory. “Yeah, but as soon as they escaped the Arcanine clobbered us. Luckily backup showed up and ran them off, but the whole attack thing was really weird.”
Quick reminder that Shimmer is the Alolan Vulpix investing Stella’s disappearance and the kitchen raid.
The door on the right creaks open, revealing Shimmer on the other side. She slips past Shinx and Dartix without much thought. She glances around the room before settling her gaze on Volt.
Volt turns his head to the sound of the door opening, locking eyes with Shimmer.
Shimmer speaks up first. “Volt? What are you doing?”
Volt doesn’t hesitate in responding. “I’m here to show these newer guild members around the other parts of the guild!”
Vee smiles wide. “Hi Shimmer!” He chirps. Vee hasn’t seen Shimmer since the failed investigation.
Crystal also notices Shimmer, he remembers the rumurs surrounding her. “Hello! Are you that Vulpix that’s been trying to find who raided the kitchen?” Crystal can’t stop himself from wagging his tail.
Shimmer seems surprised that Crystal has any idea who she is. “How many rumors have been going around in the Eevelution house?”
“A lot.” Crystal replies. “It’s been the biggest thing to happen all month. Everyone seems to have their own ideas on who did it.”
Shimmer glances at the door back to the lobby, but she sighs and decides to linger a little longer.
Shimmer takes a better look at Volt’s followers. A seemingly random Rockruff, that one Eevee she met a while ago, and a Vaporeon. Not the greatest team, unless Vee evolves into a Flareon to cover up a noticeable grass type weakness.
In the backround, the Shinx and Dartix trade snippets of conversations with passing strangers. Most seem to already know about Volt’s return, but some are also genuinely surprised.
Rex hasn’t said much, but he’s been observing the conversation. “What happened with your guy’s kitchen?”
“Weeeeeell…” Vee starts. “Somebody came last week and stole ALL the food from the kitchen. It was crazy!” Vee’s tail wags rapidly. “Ribbons decided to let me help look for the bad guy! She took me to the guild and even promised to let me join if I did good!”
Shimmer sighs. “Vee tried his best, but we dug up nothing. Ribbons let him join anyways because it wasn’t Vee’s fault.”
“Huh.” Rex muses. “Well! Maybe we can solve it.”
“Good luck with that.” Shimmer mumbles. “Just tell me if you find anything.”
And with that. Shimmer walks out into the lobby, then out into Bustlewood town.

Episode 6.8: Getting an upgrade
Luna sits in her office. Her desk looks surprisingly clean. No paper lies on her desk anymore, just a few cups of pencils and junk.
Luna sighs to herself. “The common room is so barebones for being where everyone hangs out.” Luna deliberates with herself, does she really want to spend the extra budget on fixing up the Eeveelution house?
She looks around the room, then she instinctively reaches for a piece of paper on her desk, forgetting that she finished it all already.
“Right.” She murmurs. “I’m actually caught up on work for once.”
Luna reaches for a blank piece of paper from under her desk. She scribbles down three ideas of what she could do.
The paper reads. “1. Investigate why the PC system glitched out so bad and scattered the Eevee’s everywhere. 2. Investigate the kitchen raid harder. 3. Fix up the Eeveelution house.”
Luna sighs again, leaning against her paw on the desk. “The kitchen raid is a no go. Already have somebody trying their best.
Luna scrunches her paws. “The PC system is beyond my power to look at. Too bad, that really is a problem.”
She finally settles on the obvious. She has to give the Eeveelution house some new life. “Well, at least I get a new meeting room.”

Episode 6.9: Here we go!
Vee is sniffing around the box next to the door on the right.
Volt clears his throat. “Vee, Crystal, Rex.”
Vee quickly whips his head around. “Yes Volt?” His tail wags without conscious thought. Vee is happy to be here.
Volt looks at the mission board, then back at the trio. “Does anyone know what a mystery dungeon is?”
Vee nods eagerly. Mystery dungeons are one of his favorite things to read about, so much adventure and… well… mystery! “I do, I do!”
Crystal has sort of heard about Mystery dungeons. He doesn’t know much, but knows they exist. “I…think so?”
Rex shakes his head at Crystal. He doesn’t know more than Vee does, but does know what a mystery dungeon is. “C’mon Crystal. Please tell me you know what a Mystery Dungeon is for sure.”
Crystal gets defensive. “I know a little!” He huffs. “But no one’s told me very much.”
Volt just smiles. “Alright Crystal. A mystery dungeon is a mysterious place that came with our world. What’s inside ranges from a few floors to a near infinite labyrinth. All mystery dungeons are filled with wild and hostile Pokémon and tons of items. Each Mystery dungeon changes every time you visit, so you can come back if you want to explore it again or need some items. The most common mission we get is rescuing or retrieving someone or something from the mystery dungeon.”
Volt takes a pause the let the trio soak that in. “Some dungeon are harder and easier. And they all get harder the deeper you go in. You can keep any items you find in mystery dungeons, they reappear the next time you go in.” Volt’s cheeks go a little red from all the talking. “Any questions?”
Vee has been sitting down wagging his tail this entire time. Vee takes a quick breath and smiles wider. “Can we explore a Mystery Dungeon! Please!” His tail wags faster and faster.
Volt nods without hesitation. “Yup!”
Crystal has been waiting to ask a question for a while. “Volt, that sounded a little… confusing.”
Vee chimes in quickly. “Don’t worry! I know a lot about mystery dungeons!” He understands Crystal, it took Vee forever to understand mystery dungeons too.
Rex somewhat doubts Vee, but doesn’t question it.
Volt looks down at Crystal. “We’ll start you guys with a F-rank mystery dungeon. It’s harder than it sounds. Perfect for you to understand how they work!”
Rex sighs, a little disappointed he couldn’t start with a harder challenge. Vee is very excited on the other hand. “Perfect! We can get some items before doing a D-Rank mission.”
Volt turns towards the exit back to the lobby. “Prepare! You’re going on a mission very soon!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry this took waaaaaay to long. Due to procrastination and sudden clarity I got very lazy with my work.
Magenta has gathered Vee and Crystal into Luna’s office.
Vee looks around and notices that everyone else is already waiting for them.
Vee throws his hands in the air. “Noooooo! We’re the last ones here!”
Psy chuckles and says. “How surprising.”
Luna is sitting at her desk in a spiny chair. She turns to Vee and Crystal. Vee braces for the oncoming lecture from Luna. “Good work.”
Vee and Crystal gasp and everyone else looks plain surprised.
“Sorry for the Mix-up.” Luna continues. “We sent you from the wrong starting point. Checking from where you exited Alola from, I take you had to climb one of those mountains? Vee nods. “That journey was serval miles if you also consider the forest you passed through.”
Psy is flabbergasted. “Luna! Aren’t you gonna scold them for taking so long?” Luna smirks in response. “No. I’m congratulating them.”
Luna turns back to Vee and Crystal. “You also had to fight your way out, against a shadow Arcanine?” Vee nods again. “Good work not needing a rescue yourselves. Sorry for the extra trouble.” Luna waves a paw dismissively and says “Go on, you’re excused.”
Vee puts a foot through the doorway, but Volt steps in and whispers “A compliment from Luna is huge. Never forget this.” in Vee’s ear.
Vee flashes a huge grin and gives Volt a thumbs up.
Dusk has returned to goofing off in the living room.
Dusk leans back on the couch and picks up the controller. He smiles mischievously and whispers to himself “I wonder what games Volt has got on here?”
Dusk presses the power button on the controller. A small ding sound plays from the console as it boots up.
Dusk looks around the living room making sure he’s alone. “All clear.” He sighs in relief.
“Well well, what do we have here?” Dusk quickly turns around, Volt staring him straight in the eye. “Tsk tsk task Dusk. I thought you knew better.”
Dusk gasps and tries to turn the TV off, but it’s already too late. “Messing with my console again?
Dusk comes up with an excuse and says “No no! I accidentally turned it on and was totally about to turn it back off!” He chuckles nervously in response.
“Here’s the funny thing.” Volt says. “I don’t believe you.” Volt smiles menacingly and cracks his knuckles. “I’ll let you off this time.” Dusk sighs in relief. “But don’t do it again.” Dusk gulps. “Unless you want to know what a thunderbolt feels like.”
“Nope not at all!” Dusk laughs nervously. “We’re allllllll good. No problems, won’t do it again.”
”Good.” Volt says. “Next time…” Dusk sweats a little. “Try asking! I’ll kick your ass in everything we compete in!” Dusk clutches at a patch of chest fur, his heart beating rapidly. “That… would be great Volt.” Dusk replies meekly.
Volt steps through the doorframe. “See ya later buddy!” Volts calls back before leaving.
Dusk is unbelievably sweaty. Volt can seem so scary one second, and timid the next. Dusk wonders how Volt does that so easily?
Vee has returned to his bedroom, the place this all started for him. Everything is the same as last time, the poster is hanging where Volt helped him move it. The trinkets on the shelf are a little dusty. The only noticeable difference is the black rock that has yet to be put away.
“This will look great on my trinket shelf!” Vee muses. Vee picks up the rock off the ground and takes it to his shelf. The surface is a little crowded, but Vee moves an old Poké Rangers action figure to the side to make room. “Perfect!”
Vee steps back and takes in the sight from a distance. “There! Now I won’t trip on it again!” Vee sighs in content. Vee wonders what to do now that the mission is over. Crystal and Rex still need a break, and Vee doesn’t want to do his first guild mission without them.
Footsteps come from the hallway. Vee’s ears perk up at the sound and he peaks his head out the hallway.
Volt looking very smug walks down the hallway. He notices Vee looking at him through his bedroom door. “Hey Vee! Need your poster moved again?”
“Nope.” says Vee. “I want to show my awesome new move that I learned!” Volt smiles in response.
Volt’s proud of Vee for learning so quickly. “That’s amazing Vee! I can’t believe you learned a new move already!”
Vee rolls his eyes sarcastically. “Come on Volt, it wasn’t a TM this time!” Volt grins and says “Then show me!” with a hint of challenge in his voice.
Vee gladly accepts the challenge. While gathering energy for iron tail, he plants his feet down. Vee’s tail quickly turns shiny and metallic and somehow becomes both lighter and heavier at the same time.
Vee throws his hands in the air and cheers “Tada!” Volt’s jaw drops. Vee learned iron tail? Eevee’s can’t learn that move, but somehow… this keeps happening. Zip knows extreme speed, Rumble is learning fighting type moves. This is becoming more and more common.
Above all else, Volt feels proud of Vee. “Daaaaaang! Nice job Vee! That will really catch some opponents off gaurd!”
Vee smiles gratefully. “Thanks Volt!” He feels a ping of appreciation for Volt.
Volt turn around to step into the hallway. “Make sure to give a meanie a good smack in the face for me, okay?” he calls out behind him as he leaves.
Episode 5.3: Echos of the past
Ribbons is pacing back and forth in her bedroom. She needs to know what else has changed. Crystal returning may have major changes for the future, ones she can’t predict.
She takes a shaky step into the hallway. She breathes in, and breaths out to calm her nerves. “I know… I’ll just ask Luna!”
Ribbons puts on her usual smile and makes her way to Luna’s office. After composing herself, she reaches the door and knocks.
Luna sighs on the other end of the door. “Who is it?” She asks.
“It’s just me Luna!” Ribbons replies. She takes one last nervous breath before stepping inside the office. Luna is digging through huge towers of files and paperwork.
Luna raises an eyebrow at Ribbons and asks “Ribbons, you look worried. Do you need something?”
Ribbons shakes her head. “I don’t neeeeeed anything, but I was wondering… how did Vee’s mission go?”
Luna doesn’t think anything of this, she must be concerned for Vee. “The mission went a little roughly. Mistakes were made, battles were fought.” Luna sighs and sets down her folder. “But.” She continues. “They all returned safely. Everyone’s back to full heath.”
“That’s a relief.” Ribbons replies. She scratches her head, what happened differently this time?
Luna returns to her paperwork mountain. “Where is that stupid file?” She mumbles.
Feeling curious, Ribbons asks “What are you looking for?” Luna sighs. “The file about the last incident we had with shadow Pokémon.”
Ribbons remembers the last incident quite clearly. The Pokémon ran through the market stealing all the rare valuables. Taking revives, max potions and even a few mega stones. The guild fought back, but wasn’t able to recover everything.
“Check in the S cabinet.” Ribbons suggests.
Luna shakes her head in response and says “Already tried that.” Luna sighs at herself. Where is the damn file? “You can go Ribbons.”
Ribbons nods and walks out the door from Luna’s office. She can’t ask Luna or Vee’s group without raising suspicions about her.
Ribbons returns to her bedroom and relocks the door. She lifts her mattress up, taking out her laptop. Opening a document, she deletes a section titled “Crystal joins team flare” with a sigh. “This is an improvement but… I don’t know what happens next.”
Episode 5.4: Un baguette
Flare has been relaxing in the kitchen. The wild area in the Galar region was a huge place, so much bigger than even Bustlewood town. He is feels grateful that Volt kept him safe the entire time.
Flare has his sights out on completing a special request from Magenta. She told him how hard a day old Baguette can become when left out. Flare takes a failed batch from the oven and says “I need to use more water and less heat.”
Flare is working to make the hardest and strongest Baguette possible, but every time it crumbles into smithereens after taking it out of the oven.
Flare had prepared another batch while the previous one was cooking. He sighs and picks up the tray with his bare paws. “I’m almost out of dough… last chance.” He nods to himself determinedly. Flare slides the baking tray into the hot oven, not needing mitts due to his fire typing.
Flare twists the dial to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The lights turn on inside the oven, and now! We wait, and wait, and wait.
After a good wait the oven beeps. Flare perks up and opens the oven door, getting blasted by a warm wave of heat. He grabs the tray with his paws and sets it down on the countertop to cool.
Flare tentatively pokes the bread. Flare smiles and cheers “Yes!” The baguette is rock hard, but it isn’t crumbling.
Flare decides to give it a stress test. He grabs a baguette and smacks it against the edge of the counter, causing a loud crack startling Flare into squeaking. A piece of the counter chips off and is sent flying across the kitchen, hitting the wall.
Flare clutches the baguette tightly against his chest. He takes a deep breath and says “Oh… oh no.” Flare slowly backs away from the counter. “Nobody will notice. Nobody will notice.”
He slowly puts the baguette back on the baking tray. Flare definitely does not want to do that again. Flare takes another deep breath and yells “Magenta!”
Magenta instantly pops around the corner. “Flare!” She giggles. Magenta steps foot into the kitchen and whispers “is it ready?” in Flares ear.
Flare nods slowly, still a little startled. “Y-yup. It’s definitely ready.” Magenta squeals in delight. She grabs the baguette from the baking tray and smacks it against her own hand. “Definitely sturdy!” Magenta wags her tail. “Thanks Flare.”
“No problem!” Flare replies, not wanting to tell Magenta how hard this was.
Episode 5.5: Battles yet to be fought
Vee hasn’t left his bedroom, lying flat on his bedspread and thinking about what to do next.
He knows Crystal is busy, and Rex is visiting his parents in the Galar region. Vee suddenly comes up with an idea, he should check out the guild a little more and ask for some advice! Vee didn’t explore the guild very much when he was registered as a member, and he didn’t recognize anyone during that battle in Alola.
Vee steps out the doorway and into the hallway. He doesn’t pay much attention to his surroundings as he makes his way towards the exit of the Eeveelution house. He steps outside into Bustlewood town, and quickly crosses the market to reach the guild building.
The guilds emblem shines brightly in the morning light, a shooting star with wings. Vee, like all the guild members, wears a badge on his scarf with a smaller version of the guild emblem.
Vee steps into the guild building. Clanging metal and random chatter can be heard coming from the lobby. The Zorua is still working at the front desk, giving a weak smile to a passing Blitzle.
The Zorua notices Vee and looks down over his desk. “Need something?” Vee nods his head. “I want to explore the guild a little better!” The Zorua sighs but nods. “Go ahead, I’m not stopping you.”
Stepping away from the desk, Vee looks back at the Zorua, wondering if that’s his real personality, or the disappearance of Stella changed him somehow. Vee wasn’t in the guild yet before Stella went missing. Shimmer the Alolan Vulpix has been investigating, but it seems that nothing has happened yet.
Vee takes a look around the lobby feeling a little shy. “Why can’t I start a conversation? I normally don’t have problems with that.” Vee feels nervous, like he has something to prove.
“Hello!” A voice behind startles Vee, causing his fur to shoot out on end. “Oh!” The stranger gasps. “Did I scare you?” Vee turns around and sighs in relief.
A warm and friendly Leavanny stops her silk knitting. “I’m so sorry Eevee, I sometimes that my footsteps are silent.”
Vee shakes his head and says “I’m okay! My name is Vee! Are you also from the guild?” Vee tilts his head curiously.
The Leavanny nods. “My name is Mintleaf. Nice to meet you Vee!” She giggles.
Vee smiles. “I was looking for a guild member to ask a question.”
Mintleaf tilts her head. “Go for it.”
Vee takes a deep breath, then he says “My last mission was pretty rough, and it wasn’t even for the guild.” Vee wags his tail to reassure the Leavanny. “Don’t worry! I got through with my friends just fine! I heard guild missions are really tough and was hoping you had some tips.”
The Leavanny cracks a slightly amused smile. “Nope.” She bluntly says.
Vee’s tail stops wagging. He was sure someone like Mintleaf would be able to share something useful. “No?”
“No.” Mintleaf repeats. “We all are different Pokémon, and I can’t tell you how to control your body or what strategies work for you.”
Vee tilts his head. “Then… how do yo-” Mintleaf cuts Vee off. “I learned on my own. Anyone can give advice, but no one can truly teach you what works with you. Besides, I’ve heard Volt’s coaching you.”
Vee is really confused now. “But, how is Volt’s coaching different from you giving advice?”
“Because.” Mintleaf starts. “Volt isn’t telling you how to fight, he’s just showing you how things work and how to exercise.”
Vee feels a little underwhelmed, but he understands the point. “I think I get it now. Thanks!”
She calls out “Wait!” right before Vee steps away. “What?” Vee replies.
The Leavanny stops sewing. “It might be a good idea to meet the other guild members, they can help you out in a pinch.”
Vee doesn’t stop heading out the door. “I’d rather do that with my friends than on my own.”
Mintleaf smiles back at Vee, even if he can’t see it. “Choose your own path.”
Crystal, Volt and Luna have gathered in the living room.
Volt rubs the back of his head nervously, he offered to buy some pizza, but Crystal and Luna are arguing about the toppings.
“I want pepperoni!” Crystal yells. Luna sighs in annoyance. “I. Demand. Cheese.”
Crystal takes a deep breath and says “Pepperoni pizza already has cheese!”
Luna shakes her head. “Extra cheese is better. Plain and simple.”
“No it isn’t!” Crystal argues. “Pepperoni is better!”
The arguing continues for five minutes straight. Eevee’s and guests alike stop and listen in on the argument from the hallway. They exchange nervous or awkward glances with each other, some others smirk mischievously, excited by the argument.
Volt folds his ears down in embarrassment. He didn’t know this would happen.
While Luna and Crystal continue to argue, nobody notices Psy sneaking in through the crowds.
Psy sneaks up directly behind both Crystal and Luna.
Crystal stops mid-sentence. A chill runs down his spine, causing him to shiver. Luna also notices the sudden confusion in Crystal. She looks behind Crystal and spots Psy, the crystal on her forehead glowing menacingly.
“You fools.” Psy whispers. Crystal doesn’t even dare turn around. Luna is less intimidated. “Everyone knows the best pizza topping is pineapple.”
Crystals look of fear changes into cringe. Luna and Crystal exchange a glance, both knowing what each other is thinking.
“No!” Crystal yells. “I don’t hate extra cheese, but I will not eat pineapple on pizza!”
Luna sighs. “That, I agree with. Pepperoni’s aren’t bad, but pineapple?” She sighs again.
“Come on!” Psy yells. “We never get pineapple pizza.”
“That’s because nobody likes it.” Luna replies with a smirk.
Crystal almost pounces, he can’t even tell if Psy is joking or not.
Volt really doesn’t want to get into the argument, but he definitely doesn’t want pineapple on pizza. He chooses not to say anything, because Crystal and Luna seem to finally be agreeing on something.
Volt looks up, suddenly Psy, Crystal and Luna are all staring him down. Volt tilts his head awkwardly. “Ummmmm. Did I say something?”
Luna responds with a cold voice. “Which one?”
Volt swallows nervously. Crystal takes a step closer. “Yeah Volt, you need to choose one!”
Psy switches to a predatory stance and circles around Volt. “We can’t agree on anything, so you have to pick.” Volt leans away from Psy slightly, only for Psy to move even closer and whisper “Choose wisely” in volts ear.
Volt swallows and shakily makes a decision. “We are getting onion pizza.”
Everyone stares blankly at Volt. “If you can’t agree, then I will choose for you.”
“Come on!” Crystal whines. “That’s not fair.”
Volt grins smugly. “You shouldn’t have given me the power to choose.”
Luna and Psy sigh. “At least it isn’t pineapple.” Luna whispers to herself.
Shimmer paces around her office in the guild building. The Zorua gave her permission to make the side room her own space for the investigation. The space now has a larger bulletin board and some cabinets crammed with notes.
She grabs a poorly taken photo of Vee from her desk, and pins it to the board under a strip of paper with the word “Allies” scribbled on it. Serval other faces and names lay facedown on her desk. Shimmer sighs in disappointment. “What happened to you?” She hangs a photo of Crystal and a black piece of construction paper with the name “Rex” drawn on it using a white sharpie next to Vee’s photo.
“I don’t know if it was a guild member, someone else, or some sort of accident. The only ones I can trust are my friends and the newbies without a history here.” Shimmer looks deeply at Stella’s photo, like it has a hidden meaning or secret. “Why would she just… leave without telling us?”
Shimmer shuffles some papers around in the cabinets, pulling out Stellas old mission history. Looking into Stella’s old enemies, who are all either missing themselves or have passed interrogations has been a dead end.
She takes one last hopeful look at Stella’s photo before closing the cabinet once more.
Curling her paws into fists, Shimmer wants to lash out again. But she doesn’t, she knows Stella wouldn’t want her to get angry like this. Hoping that wherever Stella is, she’s safe.
Episode 5.8: Psy oh my
Magenta and Flare have met up in the living room together after Luna, Volt, Psy and Crystal finished their argument.
Flare sits down on the couch, taking the center cushion for himself. Magenta sits towards the left side with a concerned look on her face.
Magenta takes a deep breath and asks “Flare?”
Flare sits up once more. “Yeah Magenta?”
Magenta shifts uncomfortably in her seat to make eye contact with Flare. She prepares herself for what she’s about to say. “Flare, you do know what Psy does to people, right?”
Flare looks away from Magenta, he knew this conversation would happen eventually. “Yes.”
Magenta scoots closer to Flare, hoping to understand his motives. “Then why are you friends with her?”
Flare sighs, taking the time to choose his next words correctly. “Psy stopped me from being bullied.”
Magenta is surprised that Psy would do such a thing, if anything Psy would rub salt in the wound and watch the whole thing with a smile. Psy must have a reason, or a motive. But for now, she has to talk some reason into Flare. “Just because she helped you once, doesn’t mean she’s a good Pokémon Flare. You know this.”
Flare remakes eye contact with Magenta, hoping to get his own message across. “I think she can change. At least not be as cruel anymore.”
Magenta raises her paw to speak, but no words come out. Flare believes Psy can change? Is that even… possible?
”Flare.” Magenta starts. “This might be too much for you.”
“I know.” Flare replies. “But I have to try, even if it’s only a little bit.”
Episode four: All together now!
Luna has called a meeting in the living room, she mentioned attendance was mandatory, but hardly anyone showed up. Except for of course, Vee, Flare, Crystal, Volt, Psy, Dusk, Ribbons, Kevin and Zip. Every single one of the other 200+ eevee’s had some excuse.
Vee, Magenta and Flare sit on the couch. Dusk Ribbons and Volt stand behind the couch. Crystal and Psy are on either side. Zip and Kevin are sitting on the floor.
Luna looks around the living waiting for someone else to show up, but no one does.
“Zip, Kevin, where are your friend groups I always see you with?” Luna starts.
Kevin scoffs. “They couldn’t be bothered to come, so they asked me to fill them in.”
Zip looks agitated that he has to be here. “Same for mine.”
Luna sighs. “Fine. I guess some Eevee’s here can’t learn responsibility, and the other eevee’s have to make up for them.”
Crystal looks worried. “Luna, is everything all right?”
Luna nearly snaps. “No, otherwise I wouldn’t bother calling you here.”
Crystal shrinks back down.
Volt is the first to break the mold. “So, why did you call us all here?”
Luna has to take a deep breath to calm herself down. “Because Volt, something clearly happened.”
Luna continues. “And because hardly anyone showed up, it’s up to everyone in this room to help.”
Magenta shifts in her spot uncomfortably.
Vee tries to keep a smile on his face.
Luna sighs. “Alright, save the questions for later. We have a problem.”
Luna steps to the side and rolls a whiteboard with wheels into the room. “As you all know, we are in clans. Clans have different box numbers generally used to describe our territory. Recently, a bunch of our clans members in box three and some others in box 7, also known as the Unity clans territory have been withdrawn from the pc system without their trainer’s consent. The PC seems to have glitched and randomly released some Pokémon across various regions. Luckily the PC’s history system allows us to track where everyone ended up. It’s your jobs to locate and return everybody missing.”
Flare looks around the room nervously, locking eyes with Psy.
Kevin smirks. “That’s it? Piece of cake.”
Luna steps towards Kevin. “Trust me when I say this piece of cake has gone stale. You’re going to explore unfamiliar territory outside the PC system, encounter dangerous and strong Pokémon somehow less civilized than even you, and return the missing Pokémon back to the PC.”
Psy chuckles. “You’re all so blind.”
Luna raises an eyebrow. “And what are we not seeing?”
Psy smirks smugly. “The PC system doesn’t just glitch out like that, I know foul play when I see it.”
The other Eeveelutions awkwardly think about Psy’s statement.
Magenta speaks first. “What if Psy’s right? What if somebody did do this?”
Luna sighs. “If any of you catch hint that a trainer or another Pokémon caused this on purpose, return to the PC system immediately and tell me.”
Vee, Volt, Crystal and Dusk nods,
Luna continues further. “I’ll be assigning you as I please, some of the stronger Pokémon like Psy will be going solo. Others will be traveling in groups, and some Pokémon like Flare will be paired up with a stronger Pokémon like Volt.
Luna flips the whiteboard around. “We are missing Seven Pokémon. All of them are Eevee’s, and rather young ones. We have two in the Galar region, one is in Kalos, another in Kanto, one in the Alola region, one in Sinnoh, and one in Paldea. You may take any of your friends on this mission. I’d suggest Zip taking Patch and Grumble, and Kevin taking Levin and Devin, but you can also go solo if you please.”
Kevin and Zip exchange a glance.
Vee looks to Crystal nervously. “Luna, can I go with Crystal.”
Luna nods. “I’d suggest taking your Rockruff friend with you too, you’re all low level and need the experience.”
“Now.” Luna starts. “I’m all going to read your assignments. “Flare, you will go with Volt to Galar. Ribbons is going to Kalos. Kevin and his friends are going to Kanto. Zip and his friends are going to Sinnoh. Psy, Dusk and Magenta will go to Paldea together, as you’re going into a dangerous spot, and finally Vee and Crystal are going to Alola.”
Luna glances at Psy and Dusk. “Behave yourselves, I’m only sending Magenta with you to keep you both out of trouble.”
Vee swallows nervously.
Luna finishes her statements. “You all have four hours to prepare. Gather your friends, grab some items, and make sure you are ready. Meet me back here when time is up.”
Luna glances at Vee. “For everyone here who needs items, I’d suggest Bustlewood market, or going to your guild if you’re in one.”
The first thing Vee and Crystal do when Luna dismisses them is rush to the guild to find Rex.
inside the guild’s lobby, several Pokémon, both guild members and strangers are very busy taking and giving missions.
The Zorua has his hands full, but still manages to catch up with Vee and Crystal.
“So, what do you guys need?” he asks.
“Luna gave us a mission!” Crystal chirps. “We want Rex to help us.”
The Zorua remembers that Rex is their other teammate. “Rex… that Rockruff?”
“Yup!” Vee wags his tail.
The Zorua quickly sends someone to go grab rex. Surely enough, Rex comes into the lobby moments later.
Vee and Crystal quickly update Rex on the situation.
“Wow, that’s a lot of missing Eevee’s.” Rex starts. “How are we supposed to get to the Alola region?”
“I think Luna has that covered.” says Vee.
Crystal wags his tail. “Yeah! Luna is going to use the PC system to get us there.”
Vee, Rex and Crystal almost step out the door, but Vee remembers something. “Wait! I almost forgot Luna told us to get items.”
Rex tilts his head. “But we don’t have any money.”
The Zorua overhears the conversation. “Did you already spend all of your starting Poké?”
Vee, Rex and Crystal all feel confused. Vee speaks up first. “What Poké?”
The Zorua facepalms. “Did we seriously forget to give you that?”
Crystal chuckles nervously. “Pretty sure.”
The Zorua goes behind the lobby desk and pulls out a small pouch and gives it to Rex. “Inside is 2,000 Poké, the currency around here. Spend it wisely. I suggest starting with held items, ones that don’t go away at the end of battle.”
Rex puts the pouch in his satchel. “Got it!”
“One last thing.” Zorua starts. “Wear your guild scarfs, this isn’t a guild mission but wearing your attire will let the local Pokémon know that you’re going on a rescue.”
“Got it!” Vee, Rex and Crystal reply. They quickly put on their scarves, Crystal wrapping his around the base of his tail like last time, and head out the door.
Rex also wears a satchel to hold the team’s money and any other held items they’ll buy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 4.2: So many items!
Right outside the guild lies Bustlewood’s market, full of wooden stands and dirt paths.
Rex confidently lead the way. “Have you guys ever been to the market before?”
Vee’s ears droop. “No… I haven’t been outside the Eeveelution house very much.”
Crystal on the other hand smiles. “I have! This place is amazing!”
Rex smiles. “Don’t worry Vee, I’ll catch you up to speed!”
Rex takes a deep breath. “It’s really simple. We trade Poké for items and other things!”
Vee’s ears perk back up. “Wow! That is really simple!”
Crystal pats Vee on his shoulder. “We only want to buy items, not food. It’s soooo tempting, but we have to focus.”
Vee smiles. “Don’t worry, I ate before we left.”
“I didn’t.” mumbles Crystal.
Rex takes them both down the left path. “First, let’s get us each an held item!”
Vee tilts his head. “Aren’t all items held items?”
Rex confidently explains to Vee. “Nope! We have two types, held and consumable. Held items are things like Charcoal’s and Z-Crystals. Consumables are things like potions and revives.”
Vee wags his tail. “Thanks for telling me! I had no idea.”
Rex blushes. “No problem Vee!”
A stand selling some shiny rocks catches Crystal’s eye. “Rex! Can we check this one out?”
Rex smiles. “Sure Crystal!”
A beautiful Ampharos is seen running the stand. “Hello!”
Rex waltzes right up to the counter. “Hiya!”
The Ampharos smiles at Rex. “You’re from the local guild right?”
Rex returns the smile. “Sure are!”
The Ampharos gestures at a beautiful set of stones. “I’ve got plenty of stuff in stock!” The Ampharos glances at Vee. “I also have a few evolution stones?”
Vee takes a step back. “No thanks! I’m not ready to evolve yet.”
The Ampharos waves a hand dismissively. “No worries! I’ve also go plenty of other stones and other trinkets.”
Rex checks the price tags. “Woah. I’m sorry but… these are way out of our price range.”
The average item in her shop seems to be priced at around 4,000 Poké, double the teams budget.
The Ampharos looks a little disappointed. “It’s okay! You can always come back after you save up a little more Poké.”
Rex smiles enthusiastically. “No problem!”
While Rex and the Ampharos talk, Vee notices a boring looking rock. “What’s this?” he asks.
The Ampharos picks up the rock. “This? Oh! Some stranger come to my store one day and mysteriously left this rock behind. I was told it was special. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out anything about it, and I’m starting to think it was a prank. You can take it for free, I don’t have any use for it.”
Vee wags his tail in excitement. “Thank you so much!”
Rex cracks a nervous smile. “Vee? Are you really going to carry this blackish rock around with you on the mission?”
“Nope!” Vee starts. “I’m going to drop it off in my bedroom after when we finish shopping!”
Rex puts the stone in his satchel.
Rex waves for Crystal and Vee to follow him. “Let’s keep going guys!”
“Bye Ampharos!” Vee waves.
Rex leads the group further down right.
A few more stands are seen carrying plenty of items.
“Rex.” Crystal starts. “What exactly are we looking for?”
Rex wastes no time. “All sorts of things! Anything that can help us in battle!”
Crystal waves his tail passively. “I think that shop overrrrrr… there!” Crystal points to a stand selling variety items. “That one has so much stuff!”
This stand is being run by a Kecleon. A rainbow pallet of items are hung up on displays.
“Welcome welcome!” The Kecleon greets them.
A clear amulet catches Rex’s eyes. “This is perfect! How much?”
The Kecleon shows the tag. “500 Poké.”
Crystal inspects the amulet. “What does this thing do Rex?”
“It prevents my stats from being lowered in battle!” Rex chirps.
Vee’s eyes sparkle. “You mean attacks like tail whip won’t work on you?”
“Yup!” Rex takes 500 Poké out of the pouch and gives it to the shopkeeper.
Crystal finds a pretty scarf. “What does this do?”
The Kecleon hands the delicate scarf to Crystal. “This is a detect scarf. Makes it harder to hit you.” He continues.” It’s only 300 Poké. These are surprisingly common.”
Crystal looks at Rex, who nods. Rex gives the shopkeeper some money.
Crystal carefully puts the scarf on, and it becomes nearly invisible. “Wow! This thing is incredible!”
Vee wags his tail eagerly. “I want an item too!”
Rex grabs a shiny rock from the right. “This is an eviolite! It makes unevolved Pokémon’s defenses go higher!”
“Yippe!” Vee chears.
The Kecleon extends a hand out. “That will be 300 Poké.”
Rex pays up. The group now only has 900 Poké left.
Rex buys a bulk box of 10 potions for 150 Poké before they leave.
“Great!” Rex cheers. “Now we still have 750 Poké to save for later.”
Rex gives Vee the rock back. Vee quickly takes 5 minutes to put the rock in his bedroom and come back.
Crystal asks a question. “Now what?”
Rex responds eagerly. “Now, we wait.”

Episode 4.3: Here we go!
The four hours are up. Everyone has gathered back in the living room like before, the only difference is that Rex, Levin and Devin are also present.
Luna has wheeled the whiteboard back in the room. “Good. Ready or not, the mission starts now. The missing Eevee’s could have ran off anywhere. They could still be near the PC they got released from, or they could be miles away. If at any point your mission becomes too dangerous, return back here.”
Luna continues. “This isn’t a guild mission, you may keep or use any items or gear you find. I’m not going to tax you once you’ve returned.”
Dusk raises his hand. “What should we do if we can’t find one of the Eevee’s?”
Luna quickly responds. “If you can’t find any trace within a few hours, I’ll send backup.”
Kevin scoffs. “Why can’t anyone else do this. Did you really have to send Flare and some random level 4 Eevee and Vaporeon?”
Luna stares Kevin dead in the eyes. “Because they actually bothered to show up, unlike your friends here who dumped it on you last time.”
Psy snickers.
Luna sighs in annoyance. “You will be sent by a PC administrator and released in the location your missing Eevee was last seen in. Any questions?”
The room is silent.
“Good.” Luna starts. “Get ready, you could vanish any moment.”
After some time passes, Flare and Volt suddenly vanish. They have been extracted from the PC system and are now in the Galar region.
“Wow! They disappeared so fast!” Vee comments.
Group by group, everyone gets sent out, and eventually. Vee, Crystal and Rex disappear.
Vee feels a surge of energy. He sees a flash of white light and then… nothing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 4.4: Adventure has begun!
Vee, Crystal and Rex are in an abandoned Pokémon center in the Alola region. The Malasada counter is abandoned, and the item shop picked clean.
Vee lies unconscious on his back, eyes closed.
“Mmmm.” Vee whines. He opens his eyes slowly, getting partially blinded by a flickering light on the ceiling.
Vee rolls over and slowly stands. Vee has lived inside the PC system nearly since birth, but he knows it’s not supposed to feel like this when you leave the PC.
“Crystal? Rex?” Vee calls out.
Vee doesn’t hear a reply, nothing but silence.
Vee takes a wobbly step forward. “This feels awkward.” Feeling very unbalanced, Vee takes a good look around the Poké center. He checks behind the counters, underneath ruble, in side rooms. But no sign of Crystal or Rex.
“Crystal? Rex? Please…” Vee calls out one last time… nothing.
A tear forms in the corner of Vee’s eye.
“Where did you go?”
Vee musters up the courage to walk out of the Poké center. The glass doors don’t have power, and won’t budge.
Vee closes his eyes and charges up a swift attack. Several star shaped projectiles appear around Vee and launch at the glass door. The glass cracks, but doesn’t break immediately.
Vee does this again, and again, and again. Until finally some glass breaks and Vee and walk out of the hole.
Vee slowly walks outside and, there Crystal and Rex are, looking for Vee.
“Crystal! Rex!” Vee yells.
“Vee?” Crystal turns towards the sound, and sees Vee running towards him.
“Vee!” Crystal darts to Vee and they collide.
Rex breaths a sigh of relief. “Where were you Vee?”
Vee recalls being stuck inside the nearby abandoned Poké center alone, and how the doors had no power. “How did we end up out here? Weren’t we supposed to arrive at the same place?”
Rex recalls his perspective of events. “We ended up just outside the Poké center, but we couldn’t get inside or see you in there, so we tried looking around the area.”
“So, what island are we on?”
“Hmm?” Rex and Vee tilt their heads. “We’re in the Alola region.” Rex says.
Crystal giggles. “No silly! The Alola region is made up of four islands! Melemele Island, Akala Island, Ula'ula Island, and Poni Island.”
Rex looks at Crystal suspiciously. “Huh, you sure know a lot about the Alola region.”
A bead of sweat forms on Crystals face. “W-well, I’ve done a lot of research. You see, before I was caught by a trainer, I lived on a beach somewhere in the Alola region.”
“Wow you’re from the Alola region Crystal!?” Vee wags his tail. “That’s so awesome!”
“Let’s go back to the PC in the Poké center and let Luna know something might have gone wrong.” Rex suggests.
“Good idea! Vee chirps.
Vee, Rex and Crystal walks through the hole Vee made earlier.
When they get to the PC, something is wrong. The screen is turned off.
Vee stands on his tip toes. “How do we turn it on?”
Rex hits the counter in annoyance. “Darn it! Only trainers can turn the PC on. It wasn’t supposed to turn off.”
“Then… what are we going to do?” Crystal asks.
“We need to find the missing Eevee, hopefully even though it malfunctioned we might still be on the right island. Luna said if they can’t get a hold of us for a while she’ll send backup.” Rex answers.
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s get going!” Vee enthusiastically walks outside. Rex and Crystal follow Vee.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 4.5: Time for some real battles!
Vee leads the way aimlessly through the island.
The group makes its way past several palm trees and vibrant plants. None of these are like anything Vee has ever seen.
Vee stops to sniff a strange flower. “Crystal! The Alola region is amazing! It’s so different from inside the PC. So many new smells and plants!”
“I don’t remember seeing this part.” Crystal explains. “I lived at a beach, I never explored any nearby forests.”
Rex wags his tail as he walks. “I wonder if we’ll find your beach Crystal!”
This brings a small smile to Crystal’s face.
The trees become denser the further in the group goes.
Vee stops at a crossroads. “Rex, can Rockruff’s sniff out other Pokémon?”
“I can try.” Rex lowers his head and begins sniffing the ground. Rex tries all of the cross paths, but then he whines. “I can’t smell any Eevee’s except for you Vee. The plants smell so strong.”
Vee, Rex and Crystal stop to take a break, sitting down together in a circle. Vee lies down on his back, while Rex and Crystal curl up.
A loud rustling can be heard from the trees. Vee, Crystal and Rex all turn their head to the sound.
Suddenly a wild Alolan Rattata jumps out of a bush.
Vee springs to his feet. Rex takes a defensive position. Crystal smacks his tail on the ground aggressively.
“Look, a pokémon!” Vee yells.
Rex snarls and warns Vee. “This isn’t like the PC, most wild pokémon will battle if they feel threatened.”
Crystal points out. “But we’re just sitting here! How do they feel threatened?” Crystal plants his feet
“We might be in its territory.” Rex replies.
The Rattata grows inpatient and doesn’t wait. He sprints towards Rex and uses Tackle.
Rex easily dodges. “It’s probably a low level guys, we can take it!”
“Yeah!” Vee yells. “Take this!” Vee charges up swift. The star shaped projectiles appear around Vee once more, and launch directly at the Rattata.
The Rattata has seen this attack before, and he takes cover behind a tree. The Swift attack slams against the tree, damaging it significantly.
Crystal doesn’t let the flow up, he uses bubble beam. The Rattata jumps into a nearby bush, hiding from the team’s sight.
“Get back here!” Vee yells. Vee plants his feet and is about to use quick attack.
“Vee don’t do it! You’ll fall!” Yells Crystal.
Vee isn’t concerned, he remembers what Zip taught him. Before taking off, Vee looks around the landscape, making note of all the rocks and trees. Vee listens for the Rattata, and then suddenly he hears it. “Gotcha.”
Vee quickly takes off at fast speeds, he propels himself off a rock and slams himself into the Rattata before it can react. They both get sent flying in opposite directions. Both Vee and the Rattata are a little dazed.
“Nice one Vee! Rex yells. “Now it’s my turn!” Rex rushes in and uses Tackle against the Rattata, launching it against a tree.
Crystal charges up bubble beam again. “Goooooooo!” The Rattata is still dazed and slightly confused. Too confused to dodge to attack. Several bubbles painfully slam into the Rattata, causing it to topple over and faint.
“We… did it!” Vee cheers. “We won our first battle!”
Crystal breaths a sigh of relief. “That was… intense.” He turns to Vee, who’s wagging his tail. “Whatever you did with your quick attack, keep doing it.”
Rex looks confused. “What’s wrong with Vee’s quick attack.”
Both Crystal and Vee recall the first time he used quick attack. “Don’t worry about it.” Crystal responds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 4.6: Deeper and deeper
Vee, Rex and Crystal take a random path into the forest.
“Crystal, do you have any idea what island we’re on yet?” Rex asks.
“No.” Crystal replies. “We haven’t seen any towns yet.”
“Good thing we aren’t wild pokémon, or trainers could try and catch us!” Rex jokes.
Vee’s tail wags as he continues down the path. “Yeah! That would be really bad.”
More and more and more trees appear, getting unusually dense.
“Wow, these trees sure are everwhere.” Crystal tries to laugh off.
Vee takes a closer look at the trees, noticing strange vines. “Do palm trees normally have vines wrapped around them?”
“What are you talking ab-” Rex gasps. Rex notices the vines, strangely thick with pink flowers occasionally growing from them. “We should turn back.”
Crystal nods in agreement.
Vee turns arounds and noticed the path has nearly completely disappeared. “Which way is back?
Rex tries sniffing around, but they’re trail has been covered up.
Rex looks around. Not seeing anyway out, Rex comes up with a plan. “If we continue this way, the forest has to eventually end.”
Vee and Crystal nod. They both follow the path Rex takes.
Vee scratches his arm against one of the thorns. “Ouch!”
Another thorn snags one of Crystals scales. “These vines are everywhere!”
Rex snarls at one of the vines. “We need to avoid these things.”
Vee sniffs at one of the vines. “These vines smell weird.”
Crystal also takes a sniff. “It might be these strange flowers.”
The vines keep growing denser and thicker, some of them overrunning trees entirely. The flowers grow bigger, one of then reaching a foot wide.
“This flower is massive!” Vee calls out, pointing to the huge flower.
Rex takes a look at the flower and whines. “I don’t like this…”
Vee accidentally trips on a vine and tumbles forward, landing on his face.
Crystal notices the fall and gasps. “Are you okay Vee?” He reaches out a paw to help Vee up.
Vee takes Crystals paw and pulls himself up. “Yeah, I’m alright.” Vee brushes off his fur. “Let’s keep going!”
The trio notices the ground becoming rougher. The path is completely gone, and vines are mixed in with the grass.
Crystal catches her foot stuck underneath a vine. “Wait up guys! I’m stuck.”
Vee stops to help Crystal. He tries to bite the vine and rip it off, but vine is too durable to break. Vee takes a different approach and pulls the vine up with his teeth, moving the vine just enough to let Crystal pull his foot out. “Few… thanks Vee!”
Vee spits out some green stuff. “No problem Crystal!”
Rex catches a faint scent in the air. “I smell a Pokémon.”
Vee tilts his head in confusion. “Rex, Lots of Pokémon live in forests!”
Rex shakes his head. “Something’s different about this one. They smell powerful.”
Crystal looks around nervously. “Don’t be a downer, it might be friendly.”
Rex shakes his head with doubt. “I don’t think so.”
Vee can hear some bushes rustling, he turns to the sound and sees some vines moving on their own. “Look at this!”
Rex and Crystal also notice the vines. “What’s going on?” Crystal lowers his head.
Vee takes a closer look at the vines movements. “I think the vines are making a path!”
Crystal takes a step back. “Rex… I’m a little nervous.”
Rex pats Crystal on the back. “Don’t worry Crystal, I’ll protect us.”
The vines slow down, making a clean pathway for whoever is coming.
The air grows warmer, more thick with pollen. In the distance, a strange and menacing Leafeon walks down the path the vines created.
Rough thorns poke out of her legs. Flowers identical to the ones growing from the vines sprout across her body. She looks perfectly adapted to her environment, one with the forest itself.
Vee plants his feet down. “Who are you?”
The Leafeon glances at Vee. “My name is Rose.”
Vee tilts his head, observing Rose. “Are you a Leafeon?”
Rose doesn’t hesitate. “Yes, I’m a Leafeon.”
Rose takes note of Rex and Crystal. “A water and rock type, traveling together as teammates.”
Rex puffs out his chest defensively. “What do you want from us?”
Rose raises an eyebrow in agitation. “You’re all in my territory. This is my forest.” Rose stomps her foot.
She scoffs at Vee and Crystal’s scarves. “You’re all domesticated. Pathetically trained and weak, stuck in a digital world all your lives.”
Crystal steps forward nervously. “Excuse me.”
Rose turns to Crystal. “What?”
Crystal carefully choses her words. “Me and my friends are looking for a missing Eevee. Is he in this forest?”
Rose thinks for a second. “No. Whoever you are looking for isn’t here.”
Rex begins to say something, but Rose cuts her off. “You have two choices, leave now, or face the consequences.”
Crystal swallows nervously. “Rex, what should we do?”
Rex takes a breath and calmly explains to rose that all three of them are lost.
Rose is not impressed. “You really are more pathetic than I thought.”
Rose points to the left. “Take that path out. The vines won’t give you any trouble.
Rex notices the vines are less dense that way. “Thank you.”
Rose leans down and whispers in Rex’s ear. “If you ever come back, I’ll break you in two.” Rex’s eyes widen and he stumbles back a little.
Rose smiles menacingly as she disappears back into the forest.
For a moment, everything is silent.
Vee notices Rex’s scared expression. “What did she say to you Rex?”
Rex snaps out of it. “Don’t worry about it Vee.”
Rex shakes it off, flashing a smile. “See? I told you we would be okay!”
Vee smiles back. “Yup! You were totally right!
Crystal sighs in relief. “Let’s go.”
Vee, Rex and Crystal follow the path out of the forest.
The landscape outside the forest has shifted entirely. Now the ground is covered in black rocks and random grass patches.
Crystal thinks about the landscape. “You know… I think we are on Ula Ula island!”
“This must be the mountain!” Rex wags his tail. “You’re right!”
Vee throws his hands up and cheers. “Yes! We got out!” Vee wags his tail in excitement. “Now we can keep searching for the Eevee.”
The group sets out further up the mountain, regaining focus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 4.7: Closing in!
Vee, Rex and Crystal slowly climb further up the mountain. Several Salandit can be seen crawling around.
Rex takes in the rocky landscape. “This place is perfect for Rock types like me!”
“Speak for yourself.” Crystal struggles to climb around the rocks.
Vee easily avoids and jumps over the rocks. “It’s easy Crystal! Just try to be a bit more enthusiastic!”
Crystal is currently troubled by that strange Leafeon. She seemed so different, so primal compared to Magenta.
Vee notices Crystal’s lack of energy. Vee slows down and catches up with Crystal. “Crystal, is everything okay?”
Crystal tries to smile. “Yeah! Everything is okay…”
Vee pats crystal on the shoulder. “Crystal… I can tell something is wrong.”
Crystal sighs. “That Leafeon… she was so powerful compared to us. What if we encounter another Pokémon like that? What if they try to hurt us?”
Vee wags his tail. “Then we’ll kick its butt!”
Crystal stops and tilts his head in confusion. “Vee? How can you be so… happy about that?”
Vee also stops. “Thats easy! I don’t think about the bad things. I also don’t think about ‘what if this happened? What if this goes wrong?’ either! I learned that imagined scenarios almost never happen! What are the chances that we run into another Pokémon like that?”
Crystal slowly wags his tail as well. “You’re right Vee!”
Vee wags his tail even faster. “We just have to get stronger and train harder!”
Rex finally notices the slowdown. “Come on guys! Over here!” He yells.
Vee and Crystal exchange a glance. They both hop up a small slope and catch up to Rex.
Vee catches his breath on the ledge Rex is standing on. “Did you find something?”
Rex double checks and sniffs the air. “I smell an Eevee other than Vee.”
Crystal’s head perks up. “If it isn’t Vee, doesn’t that mean?”
Rex smiles. “Yup, he’s close by.”
Vee looks into the horizon. The black rocks are particularly interesting to him. “How come the ground is black here?”
Crystal thinks for a moment. “It might have something to do with the mountain.”
Rex hops down the ledge. “Lets go! We don’t want to lose him.”
Crystal and Vee follow suite.
After a little exploring, Rex finds a clue. A strand of Eevee fur snagged in between two rocks. “I found some fur!”
“Nice one Rex!” Crystal yells out.
Vee however, is too distracted looking for the Eevee to have heard Rex.
Rex continues using his nose to search for the Eevee.
Crystal climbs rocks and ledges to look from a distance.
Rex decides to take a closer look at where he found the hair. “So… if the hair got snagged this way… then that means he had to been traveling this way!” Rex wags his tail. “Vee!”
Vee’s ears perk up. “Yeah Rex?”
Rex takes a deep breath. “Follow me this way, and take Crystal too!”
Crystal and Vee exchange a glance and follow Rex down a trail up the mountain.
Vee thinks to himself for a moment and tilts his head. “Crystal, what’s the name of this mountain?”
Crystals ears perk up. “Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you. This is mount Hokulani! Home to the Hokulani space observatory!”
Vee ears perk up rapidly. “A space observatory!? Can we visit pleaaaaase?”
Rex shakes his head. “Maybe later, but we need to make SURE that we find the Eevee and get us home safely first.”
“Okay…” Vee pouts.
Eventually the trio comes across a paved roadway.
“Do you think he went this way?” Vee asks.
Rex sniffs the pavement. “Definitely.”
Crystal smiles. “Then lead the way!”
Rex, Crystal and Vee travel further up the roadway, reaching halfway up the mountain. To the left lies a small dirt sidepath.
Rex sniffs the ground. “Smells like the Eevee stopped here.”
Vee stops and takes a look around. “Does that mean he’s close by?”
Rex smiles. “Hopefully!”
Vee wags his tail in excitement. “Then what are we waiting for!” Vee hops around, somehow not exhausted yet.
A bead of sweat forms on Vee face. He knows that Vee has a lot of energy, but this is insane. “Rex, can you try to narrow down the location a little more?”
Rex tilts his head. “I can try.”
Rex sniffs the ground again, following where the scent is the strongest. Eventually Rex stops at a tree stump.
Rex stops wagging his tail. “A stump!?”
Crystal laughs nervously. “Umm… that must be embarrassing.”
Vee looks confused. “Why did you stop?”
Rex tilts his head. “The trail stopped here.”
Vee looks even more confused. “Have you checked under the stump?”
Now Rex is the confused one. “Under?”
Vee smiles awkwardly. “Yeah! Sometimes Eevee’s try to burrow when they are scared.”
Rex and Crystal draw a blank expression. “Worth a shot.” Rex concludes.
Vee saunters over to the stump and inspects it from all angles, and surely enough Vee finds a hole underneath it.
Rex helps Vee pry the stump out of the ground.
Suddenly, a whining noise comes from the ground. A shy looking Eevee covers his eyes from the sunlight. “Hello?” He says groggily.
“Crystal!” Vee shouts. “We found him!”
Crystal gets super excited. “Really?!”
Rex wags his tail and he poses confidently. “Yup!”
The Eevee climbs out of the hole. “Can someone tell me what is going on.”
Vee, Rex and Crystal take turns explaining what is happening to the Eevee.
The Eevee tilts his head. “So you’re here to rescue me?”
Vee wags his tail. “Yup!”
The Eevee sticks close to Vee. “Will you take me home?”
Vee comforts the Eevee. “I will!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Episode 4.8: Home
Vee looks around the mountain. “Wait a minute.” Vee turns to Rex. “How do we get home.”
Rex awkwardly stumbles. “Vee…”
Crystal laughs nervously. “We just have to wait for Luna’s search party to come and find us!”
Vee sits down. He waits… and waits… and waits… for a total of 15 seconds. “I’m borrrrrrrred. Can’t we do some exploring?”
Rex sadly shakes his head. “I wish we could, but we need to protect the Eevee.”
Vee’s ears perk up, he remembers that the Eevee is younger than him. “Oh right! We can’t risk hurting him.”
The Eevee shrinks nervously behind Vee. “Do you think they’ll come for me?”
Vee turns around. “They? Who’s they?”
The Eevee squeaks. “They.”
Crystal giggles. “They’ll be no match for us!”
Rex sighs at the pun, but it does make him smile a little.
The Eevee snickers. “That pun was so bad!” The Eevee rolls over. “Wow! You must be a really high level!”
Rex, Vee and Crystal sigh in embarrassment. Rex breaks the silence. “No no, we aren’t high level.”
The Eevee tilts his head in confusion. “Then how are you supposed to beat them?”
Crystal approaches the Eevee out of pure curiosity. “What even is ‘they’ exactly?” Crystal’s tail swishes idly behind him.
The Vee puts a hand on his chin. “Weeeelll… I remember seeing an Absol. I also saw lots of trainers in dark outfits, a few more Pokémon, and even a really powerful looking Jolteon. He had a cool chain around his neck, I think it’s called a mega rock.”
Vee, Rex and Crystal freeze in horror. “A-a mega stone?” Vee gasps.
The Eevee wags his tail. “Yeah! That’s what its was called.”
Vee, Rex and Vee exchange a serious glance.
Rex pats the Eevee on the shoulder. “Are you sure thats what you saw.”
The Eevee nods. “Yup! My step mommy has one like it at home.”
Vee, Rex and Crystal all know what a mega stone does.
Crystal breaks the silence. “Don’t worry! We’ll make sure that we keep you away from them!”
Vee suddenly gasps. He has a bright idea. “Let’s go to the observatory!”
Rex sighs awkwardly. “Vee… I already told you we don’t have time.”
Vee doesn’t waver. He smiles enthusiastically. “But Rex! Don’t trainers stop there all the time? A Poké center has to be up there!”
Rex and Crystal catch onto Vee idea. “Vee! That’s an amazing idea!” Crystal can barely contain his excitement.
Neither can Rex. “That actually a really good idea! Amazing job Vee!”
With a new goal in mind, Crystal, Rex, Vee and the Eevee trek up the concrete road.
Vee’s tail never stops wagging. The Eevee copies Vee movements without him realizing.
Crystal snickers. “Looks like Vee has a new fan!”
Rex grins. “Yup! Looks like we need to start a fan club. I’ll be president.”
Crystal stifles a laugh. “Yeah, and I’ll pass out flyers.” Crystal’s tail slaps on the ground.
Vee’s ear perk up. “Guys? What are you laughing about?”
“Nothing!” Rex and Crystal reply in unison. They both exchange a glance and break out laughing.
“Oh come on guys!” Vee yells.
The Eevee starts laughing.
“You too huh?” Vee grins playfully.
The Eevee giggles even more.
“Hey! Check out this sign!” Crystal points to a sign that reads.” Hokulani observatory: 500 meters.”
“Whats a meter?” Vee asks.
Rex and Crystal sigh in embarrassment. “A meter is about a yard.” Rex explains.
Vee bursts out in laughter. “We’ve almost done it! Just a little more and we can use the PC in the Pokémon center to go home!”
Crystal can’t stop smiling from Vee’s contagious energy.
The group reaching the 400 meter mark, then 300, 200 and then 100.
Rex stops and wipes some sweat off his forehead. “We’re almost there you guys! Just a little further.”
Vee, the Eevee and Crystal don’t seem to be as sweaty as Rex. “How are you guys not tired?”
Vee quickly pants. “I’m tired, just not showing it.”
Crystal on the other hand isn’t tired at all. “My body stays pretty cool, mostly because I’m made of water.”
Rex scoffs. “Lucky.”
Suddenly a bang can be hear from up the mountain.
Vee, Rex and Crystals ears perk up. “Did anyone hear that?” Rex asks.
Vee and Crystal raise their hands. “That was a loud boom!” Vee scratches his head.
“It sounded like more of a crack to me.” Crystal reply’s.
Rex shakes his head. “Doesn’t matter, we need to check this out!”
Vee looks down at the Eevee, who’s a little nervous. “Don’t worry, just stick near any of us.”
The Eevee nods confidently.
The closer they get to the summit, the louder the noises become.
Vee looks up. “It’s getting louder!”
Rex, Crystal and Vee take off sprinting with the Eevee. At the summit, a large battle is taking place. A few guild members, none of which Vee recognizes are battling against a group of strong looking Pokémon.
A Shinx yells. “Duck!” To his teammate, who barely dodges a shadow ball in time.
Vee takes a closer look at the battle, several trainers watch from the distance. So far, Vee has spotted a Shinx, a Dartrix, a Riolu, a Pikachu, a Flaffy and a Vaporeon. It’s hard to tell who they’re fighting.
“What’s going on?” The Eevee grabs a hold of Vee’s leg.
Vee places a paw on the Eevee’s shoulder. “I have no idea, but this battle is awesome!”
Rex is less convinced, awesome? Sure. Dangerous for a rescued Pokémon? Absolutely.
Dust clouds block the group’s vision, but in the distance, Vee spots the goal. “There! I see it! The Pokémon center!”
Crystal squints his eyes. “I see it too!”
More projectiles collide together in explosions. Debris and dust fly everywhere.
Rex squints his eyes. “Who are they fighting?”
Vee shrugs. “No idea, but let’s get the Eevee in the Poké center and find out!”
Rex scans the battlefield. “I don’t see any cover.”
Vee tilts his head. “Why not use the dust clouds?”
Rex thinks for a moment. “We might get blinded in there, and we might take friendly fire.”
Crystal has an idea. “Let’s go tell the guild members that we’re here! They can cover us!”
Vee smiles enthusiastically. “Fantastic idea!” Vee looks at Rex. “Rex should go alone first, he can use stone edge for cover!”
Rex nods. “Good idea both of you!” He wags his tail. “I won’t attract much attention alone.”
Rex braces himself, then he takes off sprinting behind the battle. He dodges rouge projectiles and manages to get behind the Riolu. “Hey!”
The Riolu jumps. “Ahh!” He plants his feet down and starts charging Aura sphere.
Rex covers his face. “Wait I’m a friendly!”
The Riolu notices Rex’s scarf and calms down. “Luna didn’t mention backup.”
Rex sighs. “I’m not backup. Me and my teamates are returning from a mission to rescue a missing Eevee.”
The Riolu looks surprised. “You’re that team? We thought these guys had jumped you like us.”
Rex looks into the distance, where the other guild members are still battling it out. “Who even are they?”
The Riolu shakes his head. “No idea, but we’ve seen shadow Pokémon. Did you find the Eevee?”
Rex nods. “Yup! He’s with my other two teammates slightly down the slope. We need an opening, just one of us has to make it with the Eevee.”
The Riolu charges up an Aura Sphere and sends it flying randomly. “Go, quickly.”
Rex waves to Crystal and Vee, who quickly move in with the Eevee.
The Eevee is hidden in between Vee and Crystal.
Vee and Crystal are only a few yards away from the Pokémon center. “Faster!” Crystal yells.
The Eevee keeps pace with Crystal, and Vee lingers slightly behind.
They reach the doors, Crystal and the Eevee slip inside. Right as Vee is about to follow Crystal inside, a blast of Flames cuts Vee off.
Crystal turns around. “Vee!”
Vee steps backwards. “Keep going Crystal! I’ll catch up with Rex!”
Crystal nods and steps back inside.
Vee squints his eyes, trying to tell where the flames are coming from. Suddenly the flames end as quickly as they appear.
Vee’s eyes widen in surprise. Within the smoke he can see a silhouette with two glowing red eyes. Darkness, pure darkness.
The figure takes a step closer. And closer. And closer. The figure smiles at Vee menacingly. “Another guild member. Heh, must be on reserves. You look pathetically weak.”
Vee’s heart sinks. He has absolutely never heard of or seen a shadow Pokémon before, but he can feel the power radiating from them.
Vee plants his feet bravely. “What are you?” His paws clench into fists, he can feel a fight coming.
The figure smirks. “Someone who is going to ruin your life.” He steps out of the smoke, and Vee can see what he is.
An Arcanine, a slightly smaller but overwhelmingly Powerful Arcanine.
But he’s different. An aura of shadow surrounds him, muting his fur into greyscale. His eyes glow brighter, making eye contact nearly impossible. He doesn’t look hateful, he looks amused.
Vee decides to strike first. He rapidly uses quick attack while the target is still close, hoping for a free hit.
The Arcanine reacts quickly, catching Vee’s attack in his paw without much effort. The impact pushes the Arcanine back a little, but not by much.
The Arcanine yawns. “What level are you? It can’t be higher than two.” He keeps the still struggling Vee in place. “I was hoping for a FIGHT.” He grabs Vee by the face and lifts him.
The Arcanine lifts Vee to his mouth. “Goodbye.” He whispers. Suddenly his expression becomes serious. His left hand ignites into flames.
Arcanine punches Vee in the gut with Fire punch. Causing a quick gasp of pain. Sending Vee flying halfway across the battlefield. Vee lands on his back and skids across the roads for a few yards.
Vee can feel something new. Pain, lots of pain. His vision swims and his ears ring. “Ow…”
Vee doesn’t understand how he didn’t faint in one hit. But he remembers something, his Evolite. It boosts his defense so long as he isn’t evolved.
Rex is busy talking to the Shinx, not taking any notice of Vee.
The Arcanine can see that Vee is still conscious. He could end it right here, right now. But where’s the fun in that?
Vee sits up, wincing in pain. Vee’s fur has a black stain from the attack, but luckily it didn’t burn his skin to badly.
The Arcanine smirks. “Not giving up yet? Good. It’s funner this way.”
Vee manages to stand up. “I’m not afraid of you.”
The Arcanine takes this as a challenge. “Feisty, aren’t you? Don’t worry… I’ll MAKE you stay down.” He clenches both his fists, lighting them both on fire.
Vee stands his ground.
Rex can smell the burning and takes a glance at the Arcanine. “Vee!”
The Arcanine shifts attention away from Vee. “You’re next after I’m done with this runt.”
Rex does not take this well. His face contorts into a snarl. “Bold words for a fire type.”
The Arcanine scoffs. “Typing doesn’t matter, I’m way out of your league.”
Rex smirks. “Then try this on for size!” He slams his hands into the ground. It shakes for a moments and suddenly Pillars of stone emerge from the ground, making a straight line directly towards the Arcanine.
The Arcanine is caught off guard. He dodges to the left, but Rex reacts in time, changing the pillar’s direction.
A pillar slams directly into Arcanine, causing him to stumble backwards and wince in pain.
The stone edge attack ends, leaving the pillars behind as aftermath.
The Arcanine wipes his face. “Not bad. Unfortunately for you, it takes a LOT more than that to knock me out.”
Rex looks surprised, that move was super effective, but he’s shrugging it off. He must be a really high level. At least in the forties.
The Arcanine doesn’t miss a beat. “If you’re so eager to be first, why shouldn’t I stop you?” The Arcanine plants he feet down, and bam! He’s moving at lightning speeds. Vee and Rex can’t even react.
The Acanine slams into Rex, stoping on the dime. Rex is sent flying in the air.
The Dartrix is battling someone else, but out of nowhere Rex is sent flying into her. Sending them both tumbling in opposite directions.
Vee gasps. What even just happened?
The Arcanine smiles. “Have a taste of my Extreme Speed.”
Vee’s heart beats loudly in his chest. Rex is down. Crystal is gone. Everyone else is busy. It’s up to him. A level five Eevee. To defeat a Shadow Arcanine, who can pick him off from a distance. Blitz him before he can react and block his attacks without effort. Vee could try using swift, but that’d leave him vulnerable to another attack.
The Acanine notices Vee’s hesitation. “What’s wrong? Scared of me now?”
Vee stutters with his words. He needs to come up with something, now!
The Arcanine raises an eyebrow. “Cat got your tongue?” He scoffs. “Too bad, I was having fun.”
The Arcanine plants his feet again, but something is wrong. His smile fades a little. “Heh. Lucky for you, I’m out of PP for Extreme Speed.” He cracks his knuckles. “Fire punch on the other hand.” Both fists light on fire. “Has way too much left.”
Vee freezes. What to do what to do?
The Arcanine gets closer. Closer. Even closer. Until he’s standing right in front of Vee.
The Arcanine chuckles. “You look like prey facing its predator. Absolutely pathetic.”
The shadows surrounding the Arcanine flare up. “This time, I’ll make it count.”
Vee feels like he’s frozen in time, everything is so slow. All he knows is that he can’t give up, no matter what. Rex is counting on him, and he promised Crystal he’d come back with him. Vee slowly forms a grin.
The Arcanine can sense Vee building up energy. “Go ahead. I want to see if you can make your final attack flashy.”
Vee feels something change, his tail feels both light and heavy. Like it’s turning to stone. Is this… evolution? No. It’s something else.
Vee glances over his shoulder, and sees something amazing. His entire tail is made of steel, and he knows what attack this is. This shouldn’t be possible but… he knows how other Pokémon use this attack.
Vee jumps in the air and twists around. “Iron tail!” His tail smacks the Arcanine in the face, sending him recoiling backwards.
“Ouch!” The Arcanine struggles to comprehend what just happened. Was that really iron tail.
The Arcanine regains his barrings. “Iron tail? How’d you learn that one?” He slowly begins to smirk again. “That should be impossible.”
The Arcanine clenches his fists so tightly that his knuckles pop. “I can wait to whip that grin of your fa-” Suddenly, several bubbles fly out of nowhere, hitting the Arcanine in the face. “What the!”
Crystal stands bravely outside the Pokémon center. “Hiya Vee! Looks like you could use some help.”
Vee smiles in excitement. “Crystal!”
Rex sneaks up behind the Arcanine while he’s focused on Crystal. “Take this!”
The Arcanine turns around, but it’s too late. Rex uses stone edge point blank. Only one pillar emerges, but thats all he needs. It hits the Arcanine straight in the gut, sending him flying for a change.
The Arcanine lands a couple yards away. “Come on Vee!” Crystal smiles. “Let’s get out of here, the Eevee is already safe.”
Crystal, Rex and Vee rush to the Pokémon center just ahead of them. The Shinx also takes notice.
The group makes it inside together. The PC is already booted up, and the bystanders watch.
Crystal presses a few buttons. “Rex, Vee, you ready?”
Vee smiles enthusiastically. “Yup!”
Rex nods. “All set!”
Crystal presses one more button, and suddenly Vee and Rex are zapped back inside the PC.
Vee’s head feels a little foggy. He opens his eyes slowly when suddenly. “Vee!” Magenta gasps.
Vee slowly sits up. Magenta rushes in and hugs Vee, knocking him back down. “Vee! I was so worried.”
Vee can’t help but smile. “Magenta!”
Crystal groans in the slight distance. “I feel funny.”
Magenta gasps again. “Crystal!”
Crystal stands up. “In the flesh!” He points to himself.
Rex barks, grabbing everyone’s attention. “Forgetting someone?”
Magenta almost gasps, but stops. “Wait a minute. Who are you again?”
Rex sighs in embarrassment, but Vee and Crystal laugh.
Crystal takes in the world around them. “Everything feels so different, like It’s been years.”
“It’s only been a few hours.” Magenta reply’s.
Vee smiles enthusiastically. “We did it!”
“Aww man!” Rex snaps his fingers.
Vee tilts his head. “What is it?”
Rex sighs. “We forgot to look for items.”
Vee chuckles. “We didn’t have time for that! We just had a real adventure!”
Rex smiles. “You’re right.”
Magenta helps Vee stand. “Come on guys! Let’s go tell Luna you’re back.”
Ribbons sits on the couch nervously with a few of the Eevee kits. One of them pulls on Ribbons leg. “Ribbons, are you okay.”
Ribbons snaps out of her trance. “Oh! I’m just fine!” Something feels off about Ribbons.
Ribbons slowly stands up. “I have to go now, okay?”
The kits all start whining, but eventually agree.
Ribbons steps through the door into the hallway.
Halfway to her bedroom, she comes across Magenta. “Hey Magenta, what up?”
“Vee and Crystal are back!” She chirps. “Oh! Can’t forget their other teammate, I forgot his name though…” she chuckles awkwardly.
Ribbons freezes in place. Her hearts pounds loudly. “Crystal is back?”
Magenta stops to speak, a little unnerved by Ribbons reaction. “Ribbons, your eyes… have you been getting enough sleep? They look bloodshot.”
Ribbons slaps herself. Magenta gasps. “Don’t worry! I’m just sleepy. I’ll be alright tomorrow.” She stammers.
“Okay then…” Magenta slowly backs away. Ribbons slowly turns to leave. “By the way.” A bead of sweat forms on Ribbons face. “Have you seen Luna?” Ribbons sighs in relief. “Yeah, she’s back in her office.”
“Sweet!” Magenta chirps. “See you later Ribbons.”
Ribbons crosses the hallway and slams her bedroom door. She locks it carefully.
Ribbons lets herself collapse on her bed. “Crystal… came back?” She reaches under her mattress and pulls out a laptop. “I just wanted to prepare Vee a little better, I wasn’t trying to chance those events so much.”
Ribbons slams her laptop shut. “What will happen now?” She hides the laptop back under her bed.
Few! Wow everyone! That was crazy! This took so long to make! School made it impossible to work on this Mondy/tuesday. So I had to finish Wednesday ironically. Lucky I’m still on track with my weekly schedule.
Wow, it’s unreal how far I already have gone. Especially how fast episode two went. I took a few days break bc I didn’t start this until monday. It was only three days(ironic). Anyways, time for some MEMES(or not idk)
Also before you immerse yourself, go remind yourself who Zip and Patch are in the pilot.
Episode 3: Ones true colors
Psy the Espeon is in the Eevee common room, Flare isn’t here, Luna isn’t here. Nobody else you’ve met is even here. Except for some new faces you’ll see later.
Psy comes across a lonely little shiny Eevee named Sakura, hiding a everstone in her tail.
Sakura is a little different than most Eevee’s, her tail resembles a Nicket’s.
Psy has malicious thoughts in her head, intrusive voices telling her to do one thing. Troll this pathetic thing.
“Hey little one. Sakura, isn’t it?”
Sakura jumps. “W-what?”
Psy wears a devious look on her face. “Your name is Sakura, you’re the weirdo.”
Sakura shinks. “Thats what everyone calls me.”
Psy throws her head up and laughs. “You’re the weirdest Eevee I’ve ever met. Your colors are different, your personality is different, and who could forget your tail, your amazing, beautiful tail.”
Psy scoffs. “It’s so dumb, I can’t image what you would look like if you evolved.”
Sakura is too stunned to speak.
Psy gets right in Sakura’s face. “See that everstone? Never lose it. I can’t imagine seeing what you would look like if you evolved.”
Psy turns and walks away, smirking deviously. She gets great pleasure from trolling.
Sakura is smiling as a single tear runs down her cheek. She clutches a tuff of fur on her chest. Sakura opens her mouth and whispers “Don’t worry. I’ll never lose this.”
Episode 3.1: Not all Eevee’s are cuddly
Elsewhere in the common room, some new and old faces have been talking.
Rumble, an Eevee with tangled and matter fur with a few facial scars to match his crimson bandana covering all of his neck floor talks with Patch and Zip.
“Let me get this straight, Dusk tried to blame you for the kitchen theft?” Rumble barks.
Zip explains to Rumble “It wasn’t much blame, Dusk was the only lead left in there little investigation, and all Dusk had to go off of was seeing me grab some chips.”
Several other Eevee’s pass by the trio, some even glancing at Zip with awe.
“Ha, so you’re still mister popular for knowing Extreme Speed?” Rumble smirks.
Zip lets out a long sigh. “Yup, I get asked nearly every day to teach someone.”
Patch giggles. “They’re so silly, Zip can’t teach people Extreme Speed. Only Zip can use it. It’s a special thing!”
Episode 3.2: Fruit salad
Magenta the leafeon hums to herself as she cleans the living room.
Dusk the Umbreon saunters up behind her. “Hey Magenta!”
Magenta pauses her cleaning. “Yes Dusk?”
Dusk eagerly leans closer to Magenta. “I have a earth shattering, reality bending, super important question for you.”
Magenta tilts her head. “Oh! What is it?”
Dusk smirks. “Is it cannibalism if you eat salad?”
Magenta’s face droops. “Really Dusk? That’s your question.”
Dusk nods enthusiastically. “Yeah, I’ve been dying to know!”
Magenta sighs. “No, it isn’t cannibalism.”
Dusk’s makes a fist triumphantly. “Finally! I know the answer to everything!”
Magenta cracks a smile and continues cleaning.
Episode 3.3: Continuing with Vee.
Big huge information dump incoming. Yes, clans and guilds are separate, yes everyone introduced so far is part of the wild clan.
Vee the eevee, Volt the Jolteon, Rex the rockruff and Crystal the Vaporeon are still in the Guilds training hall.
The training hall has serval sturdy training dummies, a dirt floor, a few wall targets and a metallic scent.
Chatter from the guilds lobby can’t be heard from here.
Volt looks at the newly formed rescue team. “So, I need to make you all take an oath of dedication. This is very serious, I’d rather we get this done now so we can lower the tensions.”
Volt quickly sizes them up. “You are all part of the wild clan, as you have been for a long time. Our clan is diverse and spread out. We are NOT a military, but a group of Pokémon that work together. We are allies with Sky clan, who live up high in the mountains and sky bases. Don’t ever provoke the other clans into large conflicts ever.”
“Got it.” Vee reply’s.
Volt continues. “We help almost all of the other clans, and this guild is no exception. I know I’m telling you a lot, but in the end you are dedicated to helping everyone. Even your enemies.”
Vee, Rex and Crystal nod in unison.
“Good.” Volt finishes. “I’ll start training you tomorrow. How about you guys go home for now?”
Episode 3.4: Fun times
Vee is back in the Eevee common room, where he spots a bunch of his friends. Crowds of Eevee’s walk past, but his friends, Flare, Ribbons and Magenta stand out.
Even Kevin and Devin are here, doing their own thing.
Vee is crazy excited to tell his friends everything! But he’s also curious to see if anyone notices his scarf.
“Hey guys!” Vee chirps.
Flare turns to Vee. “Oh, hi Vee!”
Magenta turns to Vee. “Hey Vee!”
Ribbons gracefully waves to Vee with her ribbons. “Hello Vee!”
Vee looks around at his friends, wondering if anyone will comment. “Sooooooo. Anyone notice anything different about me?”
Magenta and Flare stare at Vee unawarely. Their faces just a simple smile.
…
“Oh come on guys!” Vee yells. “Look at my new scarf.”
Both Flare and Magenta’s ears perk up. “Oooooooh!”
Ribbons giggles.
Vee huffs.
Flare pats Vee on the shoulder. “S-sorry Vee. I guess I kind of overlooked it. It looks cool though.”
Magenta rubs the back of her head nervously. Suddenly she notices something. “Hey Vee. Is that a…” Magenta gets a closer look at the pin on Vee’s scarf. “Guild badge!?”
Flare gets startled clutches his chest. “M-magenta! Please don’t do that.”
Magenta quickly turn to Ribbons. “R-ribbons! Did you let Vee join the guild is Bustlewood?”
Ribbons nods. “Yup! I felt like it was time for Vee to go on an adventure!”
Magenta looks concerned. “But isn’t Vee just a little young for this? He might get targeted in a battle because of how weak he is!”
Ribbons brushes Magenta away. “Don’t worry, Vee is in a team now, and Volt is coaching them. They’ll be ready before they try any missions.”
Magenta is stunned. “U-um. But but. Um.”
Flare decides to speak up. “I-I think it’s really cool and brave that Vee joined the guild. I’d never dare to even try.”
Vee flashes a proud smile. “Don’t worry Magenta, my teammates will have my back!”
And with that, Vee turns and walks away.
Chapter 3.5: Gas gas gas!
Vee searches the common room for Zip, he’s heard amazing things about him,
Zip, grumble and Patch are still having a discussion, but the topic has changed.
“So, what are you guys thinking of evolving into?” asks Grumble.
Zip looks at himself. “I’m probably not going to evolve, I’d lose my stab boost when using extreme speed.”
Patch sticks her tongue out. “Come on Zip, that’s no fun! It’s always battle this, stats that with you. As for me, I’m going to evolve into a Sylveon.”
Grumble looks at his fists. “Zip, what Eeveelution has the highest attack stat?”
Zip sighs. “That would be-”
Vee accidentaly bumps straight into Zip. “Oof!” Vee rubs his head. “I’m sorry.”
Zip pushes Vee away. “Watch where you’re going!”
Vee’s ears droop. “I’m sorry, I just… had a question.”
Zip sighs. “What is it?”
Vee’s ears perk back up. “Can you tell me how you use quick attack so well?”
Zip tilts his head. “Quick attack, that’s it?” Zip thinks for a moment, “I’ve got to admit, I’m surprised you didn’t ask about extreme speed.”
Vee doesn’t waver. “I already know you won’t teach me extreme speed, but I’ve heard what amazing control you have over quick attack. I’m not very good at it, I was just wondering, what’s your secret?”
“My secret?” Zip laughs. “Simple, don’t close your eyes and focus on your surroundings both before and during the attack. You can’t react to everything when moving at high speeds, so it’s important to scan the landscape for trip spots and rocks beforehand. But don’t lose focus when using the attack either, as things can change in an instant.”
Vee tilts his head. “That’s it?”
Zip chuckles. “Yup. Try it, you’d be surprised.”
Vee walks away, surprised Zip even told him anything. He wants to go try this for himself.
Episode 3.6: They
???: “I wonder. I wonder what would have been if this didn’t happen.”
???: “If even one of my friends had been more prepared.”
???: “I’m going to relive this anyways, again and again.”
???: “I wonder if I can change things, just a little bit.”
Luna is at her desk, somewhere inside the Eeveelution house. On her desk lays several papers and documents.
In the quiet of her sanctuary, Luna finishes her work.
“Nothing much is happening? Huh.” She says to herself.”
Luna sighs. “That’s unusual,” Luna thinks to herself. “but, we still have a few antics happening… the kitchen raid, a few new Eevee’s arriving, some sort of propaganda about baguette’s being the superior form of bread.”
Suddenly a knock is heard. “Who is it?”
Volt opens the door. “Just me.”
Luna sighs again. “What is it this time?”
Volt rubs the back of his head nervously. “Well… I was wondering if I could have the TV back? Please?”
Luna puts down her pen. “And why should I do that?”
Volt gets on his knees. “Pleeeeease! I’m responsible for some new recruits in Bustlewood town, and I really need to unwind before training starts.”
Luna smirks. “I almost forgot.”
Volt goes wide eyed. “I reaaaaaallly want to play Ultrakill! If you give it back, I’ll wear headphones even!”
Luna sighs. “Who are you even training?”
Volt scratches his chin. “Well, I’m training a Rockruff named Rex, a Vaporeon named Crystal and…”
Volt snaps his fingers. “Oh yeah! An Eevee named Vee.”
Luna recalls accidentally snapping at Vee.
“So… you’re training him?”
Volt tilts his head. “You know him?”
Luna scoffs. “Barely. He tries to be energetic and fun, but struggles to keep his demeanor.”
Volt stands up. “Vee just needs motivation sometimes. Besides, he’s just a year short of being an adult, so he isn’t as mature.”
Luna rolls her eyes. “It doesn’t matter, I already put the TV back the moment you left the living room, I couldn’t be bothered taking it all the way to my office.”
Volt’s ears droop. “You mean it was already there the entire time!?”
Vee is back in the training hall, except this time he’s alone.
“Where to start, where to start…” Vee murmurs.”
Vee remembers learning TM 39.
“Oh Yeah!”
Vee glances around the empty training hall. “Guess I’m figuring this one out my own.”
Vee positions himself in front of a training dummy. “So, how do I use swift?”
Vee taps his foot on the ground. “I remember learning something. When a Pokémon learns a new move, that should be able to just… do it.”
Vee’s ears perk up. “That means I should just try!”
Vee tries to use swift, and surely enough, energy builds inside him.
Vee’s fur whips around from the power. “Let’s do this!”
Vee lets the energy go, and bam! Several star shapes projectiles appear in the air around him.
Suddenly the projectiles launch themselves straight into the training dummy, causing small explosions when they land.
A blast of wind makes Vee cover his eyes from the flying dirt. When the dust settles, Vee sees that every single projectile hit.
“I nearly forgot Swift has a 100% accuracy unless my opponent dodges!”
Vee sighs a breath of relief that nothing backfired.
Vee nearly leaves the training hall, but stops when he remembers Zip’s advice.
“I guess I should try it, I don’t have anything better to do.”
Vee scans the training hall, making note of the bumps in the dirt and the training dummies position. Vee charges up a quick attack and runs forward.
The wind in his face makes Vee want to squint his eyes, but he doesn’t. Vee gets closer and closer until he suddenly collides with the training dummy.
Unlike last time, Vee is prepared for the recoil, planting his feet in the dirt to stop him from skidding so far backwards.
“Wow! That really worked!”
Vee throws both of his front paws in the air, “let’s go!”
Vee walks out of the training hall with a smile on his face. Little does he know, he leveled up to level four.
Episode 3.9: Isn’t always what they want
Psy is in her bedroom alone.
Psy’s bedroom is a messy space, mostly with just random wrappers and a few random items.
Psy remembers the look on Sakura’s face earlier, and that it didn’t feel as good to troll her as it did when he trolled Devin.
“What is this feeling in my chest? I don’t like it.” Psy almost feels… guilt.
“How come it felt so good to mess with that stupid Kevin or Devin or I don’t know!”
Psy continues. “But it didn’t feel as good to mess with that shiny eevee?”
Psy remembers Flare. “And why don’t I want to troll him? He’s pathetic, weak and honestly wasted a fire stone.”
Psy looks at herself. “Maybe I should just… follow him around for a while.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow! That was fast! This only took two days to make! I can’t wait for Episode four, and feel free to comment anything you want!
Last episode was very informative, lots of words, lots of new places. But now it’s time for silly.
Episode two: Through the fire and the Flare
Flare is in the Eevee common room, Psy following closely behind him.
Psy is simply observing Flare.
Flare walks around the common room with an unusual smile.
“Flare, I’ve never seen you so happy before.” Psy chirps. “Are you plotting some revenge on Devin?”
Flare blushes and shakes his head. “No!”
Psy smirks maliciously. “If revenge isn’t what’s gotten you smiling, what is?”
Flare flashes a huge grin. “I’ve finally learned a fire type move!”
Psy stops in her tracks. “Really? How?”
Flares smile grow bigger. “Luna found a TM while exploring, and she didn’t need it.”
Psy smirks. “What move is it.”
“Flamethrower!” Flare replys.

Episode 2.1: Crystal shores
Cyrstal is lying in his bed, daydreaming about a place he once visited.
Crystal images a beach, with a beautiful shore. The sand is perfect and untouched.
Crystal is named after this beautiful beach, Crystal Shores.
In his dream, Crystal sleeps under a tree. Suddenly a set of legs appears, a human.
They grab Crystal while his guard is down.
Then, the human grabs a red and white sphere from his belt. The sphere opens and Crystals body turns into a weird energy, and Crystal is sucked inside.
Crystal isn’t sure how much time has passed, but he arrives at a Pokémon center. The smell of drinks and Malasada’s are everywhere.
The trainer puts Crystal inside some weird machine, and then. Crystal is in the Eeveelution house.
Suddenly Crystal snaps out of his daydream.
“Why do I always have that weird dream.”
Crystal feels a new feeling inside himself. The feeling to explore, the desire for adventure.
“Is this what Vee feels?”

Episode 2.2: Truth or Flare?
Flare, Crystal and Dusk sit in a circle in the living room.
Dusk smirks mischievously. “So, who wants to go first?”
”I’ll go first!” Chirps Crystal.
“Truth or Dare?” Asks Dusk
Crystal thinks for a moment. “Truth.”
Dusk smirks. “What’s your biggest secret?”
“My biggest secret? I don’t remember my real name.”
Dusk and Flare pause. “You… don’t remember your name? It isn’t Crystal, then what is it?” Asks Flare.
“I don’t know… all I remember is the name of the place I came from… Crystal Shores.” Reply’s Crystal.
“It’s no big deal Crystal, whatever your name was couldn’t have been cooler than that.” Dusk sticks his tongue out playfully.
Flare tries to cheer Crystal up. “Y-yeah! It isn’t that bad.”
Crystal smiles. “It’s okay guys, it doesn’t bother me, not anymore.” Crystal turns to Dusk. “Hey Dusk, truth or dare?”
Dusks cracks a bold grin. “Dare.”
“I dare you to show us your strongest attack!”
“Give me a target first, then I’ll do it.” Dusk replies.
Crystal sets up a wooden target in the living room.
Dusk giggles. “Okay then, here I go!” Suddenly a orb appears in front of Dusk, he charges up a shadow ball and launches it full force.
Wind blasts across the living room. The shadow ball connects with the target and sends splinters flying across the room.
Flare and Crystal are in shock. “W-wow Dusk. I didn’t know you were that powerful!” Flare mutters.
Dusk smirks. “Hey Flare.”
“Yes Dusk?”
“I dare you to clean this up.” And with that, Dusk saunters out of the room, leaving the mess to Flare and Crystal.

Episode 2.3: Hot chocolate
Flare saunters around the Kitchen with a list, catching Psy’s eye.
Psy casts an aura of terror when she walks, most of the eeveelutions serve to avoid her. “Whatcha doing Flare?”
“M-Making hot chocolate.” Flare stutters. Flares ears droop in embarrassment.
Psy steps back, observing Flare from a distance.
A group of Eevee’s in the distance snicker. “Hey Kevin, looks like Psy found a new target.” says Leven.
Kevin laughs. “Yup, hey Devin, looks like Psy is harassing a Flareon now.”
Devin doesn’t laugh. “Remember what Psy did to me?”
Kevin snickers. “Yeah, thats why it’s funny. At least it isn’t happening to you this time.”
Devin doesn’t waver. “This is the Flareon, the one she defended. I don’t think she’s targeting him.”
Leven raises an eyebrow. “Then… what is she doing?”
During the dialogue, Flare has gathered all of the ingredients. He can feel Psy watch him behind his back. But strangely, he feels almost comfortable, not afraid.
Psy’s psychic energy radiates across the kitchen. “Flare.”
Flare stutters. “Yes Psy?”
“Why are you making hot chocolate?” Psy tilts her head.
Flares blushes. “It’s for you and Luna.”
Psy freezes. “M-me? Who would make anything for me?” Psy turns red. “Is it because you fear me, and wish to make peace?”
Flare gathers the courage to smile. “It’s because it might make you happy.”
Psy doesn’t know how to respond. So she switches the topic subtly. “And why for Luna?”
Flare looks down at the floor. “Luna looks like she’s been struggling lately.”
Flare stirs the cocoa into the cups. “It’s almost ready.”
Psy tilts her head. “You haven’t even boiled the water yet.”
Flare’s ears perk up. “I almost forgot!”
Flare picks up two mugs, one per paw. Suddenly the cups start steaming as he heats them up using his powers.
“Finished!” Chirps Flare.
Psy reluctantly takes a cup from Flare. She slowly takes a sip.
Psy’s eyes widen in shock.
Leven, Kevin and Devin stare from the distance. Psy doesn’t move, doesn’t say anything.
“Do you think Flare poisoned him?” Whispers Kevin.
Psy suddenly sets cup down and swallows. “This.”
Flare stammers “What?”
“This. This is perfection.”
“This is beyond hot chocolate, everything about this. The taste, flavor, texture. It feels like I’m drinking melted chocolate.” Psy still doesn’t change her facial expression. Suddenly she smiles. “I. I want more.”
Flare sighs in relief. “Of course Psy!”

Episode 2.4: Team Newbies!
What? Did you think I’d leave you hanging for an entire episode about what happens next with Vee? Think again sucker!
Ribbons has taken Vee back to the guild building. Crystal has been following Vee and Ribbons, curious to see what they are doing outside the Eeveelution house.
The Zorua is behind the counter.
The Zorua notices Ribbons and raises an eyebrow. “What are you doing back here Ribbons?”
Ribbons giggles. “I’m here to sign Vee up for the guild.”
Zorua sizes Vee up. “He looks to be about level three, I’m guessing he has no combat experience?”
Ribbons sighs. “No, but he’s eager to learn. Start him out with jobs so he can level up a bit before sending him on missions.”
Vee wags his tail, he can barely contain his excitement.
The Zorua ducks behind the count and shuffles through some papers. “Rescue teams need three members, recently a Rockruff named Rex joined the guild. He’s level 5 and will be your team leader. However we still need a third member.”
The Zorua scans the room.
The doors creak open, and Crystal walks into the guild building. He immediately notices Vee. “Vee?! What are doing here?”
“Ribbons is letting me join the guild!” Vee blurts out.
Crystal’s face lights up with excitement. “Really! You can finally go on adventures like you’ve wanted!”
The Zorua clears his throat. “Not until we recruit a third low level Pokémon to be on his team.”
Crystal raises an eyebrow. “Could I join? I’m only level 4.”
The Zorua scratches his chin thoughtfully. “Fine, I guess you can join.”
Vee’s tail wags at lightning speeds, one of his best friends is on the team. “Yay, we’re going to be the best team ever Crystal!”
Ribbons ducks around a corner to get some space. “Crystal huh? Didn’t except this… I only wanted to prepare Vee. However being able to prepare Crystal might also be beneficial as well.” Ribbons sighs. “Hopefully Crystal can get strong too, strong enough to help Vee.”

Episode 2.5: Epic gamer moment
Back in the eeveelution house, Volt is playing Video games in the living room.
“Oh yeah!” Volt cheers.
The screen flashes, lighting up the entire living room. “Die stupid vermin!” Volt holds the controller in the air.
Gunshots and blasts roar from the TV. “DIIIIIEE!”
Suddenly, the TV screen goes black.
“What the-” Volt gets up to investigate, walking to the outlet.
Luna stands behind the TV, holding the power cord menacingly. “Volt.” Her eyes glow red. “What did I tell you not to do?”
Volt gulps. “Umm. I. Uhh.”
Luna cracks her knuckles. “I said if you ever woke me up playing Ultrakill again, there would be… consequences.”
“Noooooooooo!” Volt throws his arms in the air.
Luna takes the TV from the living room, leaving Volt in silence.
Ribbons smiles gratefully. “Thanks for letting them join the guild Zorua.”
Zorua waves his paw dismissively. “No problem Ribbons, I owe you a big one anyways.”
Vee and Crystal hold paws. “I’m so excited Crystal!”
Crystal grins ear to ear. “Me too Vee!”
Zorua calms Vee and Crystal down. “First things first, I need to complete the paperwork. While I do that, head to the room on your left. Inside should be some basic gear and outfits. Go try them on.”
Vee and Crystal head to the dressing room together. Inside are a few boxes with scarfs and badges.
Vee tries one the scarfs on. The scarf fits snugly around Vee’s neck. “How’s it look Crystal?”
“It looks perfect Vee!” Chirps Crystal. “Here, let me put your badge on!”
Crystal grabs a badge and clips it onto Vee’s scarf. The badge is the guild emblem, a shooting star with wings. “There! It looks… perfect on you!”
Vee blushes and flashes a grin. “Thank you Crystal!” Vee feels deep appreciation for Crystal.
“Ooh, I have an idea!” Vee grabs one of the scarfs and ties it around the base of Crystal’s tail. “There! Now your neck frill wont block the scarf!”
Crystal nearly blushes. “I wish I had thought of that!”
Vee clips the badge onto Crystals scarf. “There! Now it looks amazing!”
Vee gets lost in the sight of Crystals new look. Pure excitement rushes through Vee’s veins.
Crystal smiles gleefully. “I think we can come out now.”
Vee and Crystal emerge from the changing room together.
Zorua has been waiting patiently for them. “The paperwork is done, and we have gear satchel’s ready for both you. I just need you to consent to the dangers of rescue work.”
Zorua looks at Vee and Crystal seriously. “At first I’ll give you ‘simple’ tasks and missions with low risk. Then when you’re ready, I’ll send you to do real rescue work. But sometimes, I’ll have to send you on missions you’re not ready for, sometimes, I’ll have to send you outside the PC system. Are you prepared for this.”
Vee and Crystal exchange a glance, then nod at the same time.
The Zorua smiles. “Good, now, I’m assigning someone to train you both, catch you up to speed. You’ll also be meeting your team leader, who is around the same skill level you are.”
Vee and Crystal tilt their heads. “Who’s training us.”
Elsewhere in the guild, within a side room lies a bulletin board filled with pictures, letters and various accounts from when other Pokémon last saw Stella.
Shimmer snarls in frustration. “Where did you go!”
She slams a paw down on her table.
“People don’t just vanish for no reason!”
She paces back and forth across the room.
Shimmer takes a deep breath. “Come on… the guild needs you.”
The pictures are almost all of a single Pokémon, a female Pyroar with a few scars but a huge smile. “We miss you Stella… come back.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 2.8: Crash test dummies
My writing sounds a little stale here so forgive me.
The Zorua has escorted Vee and Crystal to the training room of the guild.
The room is simple, a few targets on the higher walls, a few dummies on the ground and a small sprint track. The entire room smells like metal. The floor is of course dirt like the main lobby of the guild.
The Zorua gives Vee and Crystal a serious look. “First things first, I wan’t to know what moves you can use.”
Vee scratches his head in embarrassment. “Well, I only know quick attack.”
Zorua sighs impatiently. “Then use it.”
“I’ve um… never used it before.” Vee chuckles nervously.
Zorua raises an eyebrow. “You’ve never used a move before? Ever. Not even once?”
Vee’s ears droop. “No…”
Zorua sighs again. “Thank god I’m not training you noobs.”
Crystal pats Vee on the shoulder. “Don’t worry Vee, I also know quick attack! I can show you how, it’s really easy once you try it.”
Crystal plants his feet, his body briefly glows white. Suddenly Crystal gains a huge burst of speed. He charges towards one of the dummies and crashes into it. The sturdy dummies flinches, but doesn’t break.
Crystal begins to catch his breath. “See Vee? Now you try.”
Vee copies Crystal’s pose. “Okay, I can do this,” Vee takes a deep breath, and Vee’s body glows white for a moment. Vee can feel it, the rush of energy. The speed burst comes faster than Vee expects.
Vee charges at one of the training dummies and yells “Here I gooooo!”
Vee rushes head on, but completely misses the training dummy. “Brakes, brakes!” Vee blocks his face with his arms right before he crashes into a wall.
“Uuhhhhh.” Vee moans. Vee is now resting flat on his back, his eyes swirly. It’s unmistakable, Vee fainted.
Crystal rubs the back of his head nervously. “Hehe… I should have warned him that it’s very… sudden.”
The Zorua facepalms. “My Arceus… these guys are idiots.”
Vee slowly recovers from his accident, feeling incredibly embarrassed. “I’m sorry crystal.”
Crystal smiles, trying to cheer Vee up. “Don’t worry Vee! That was your first time!”
Vee’s ears perk up. “Did you crash on your first time?”
Crystal rubs the back of his head nervously. “Not exactly…”
Vee sighs in embarrassment. “I’ll never get this…”
“So. You’re a loser.” The Zorua smirks.
Vee’s ears perk up in shock. “W-what?”
“You’re giving up after the first try. One failure is all it took.” The Zorua looks over his shoulder at Vee. “Maybe you should just quit while you’re ahead.”
Vee puts a paw to his chest defensively. “N-no way!”
“Then don’t look so mopey after one try.” Snarls Zorua. “Prove me wrong. Prove to me you’re not a big crybaby. Prove it now.”
Vee walks towards the center of the room with a snarl on his face. “I’ll show him.” Vee’s fists curl in frustration.
“Wait Vee!” Yells Crystal. “That isn’t like you, calm down a little. Don’t let Zorua get to you like that. I… I don’t like seeing you angry.”
Vee takes a deep breath and squeezes his eyes shut. Listening to Crystal’s words. “He’s right, I just… need to be myself.” But that feeling of helplessness, of failing to prove himself, how can he just… ignore it so easily?
Suddenly, Vee cracks a grin. Not out of anger, not out of fear. Out of determination. Vee’s snarls turns into a grin.
Vee’s body flashes white once again. He takes a running pose, planting his feet. Vee looks up and opens his eyes.
Vee suddenly gains a huge speed boost and yells “Quick attack!” darting straight at the dummy.
Vee’s quick attack collides with the dummy, sending Vee flying backwards.
Vee skids backwards across the training room, kicking up a dust cloud.
Vee coughs into his elbow. “Did… did I do it?”
The Zorua smirks knowingly. “Good. You’ve proved me wrong.”
Crystal is hit with realization. “Wait… you worked Vee up on purpose?”
The Zorua waves his paw dismissively. “So what if I did.” Zorua reaches into his tail and pulls out a disk shaped object. “Take this.” he throws it at Vee.
Vee shoots up off the ground to catch it. “What is this?”
“TM 39, aka swift.”
Crystal perks up. “A TM! Vee, you can learn that move!”
Vee cheers up. “Really?
Zorua chuckles. “Just use the TM. I don’t need it anymore.” And with that, Zorua saunters out of the training room. But he stops in the doorway. “In a minute, your mentor and your team leader will be coming. Stay here.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 2.9: The lightning, the fish, the rock and the fox of infinite possibility, together we are… Team Newbies!
Insane title I know right guys? Anyone? He.. he… umm… yeah let’s just move on.
While the duo waits for the mystery Pokémon to appear, Crystal teaches Vee how to use the TM.
“Okay, and you go like this annnnnnd… done!” Vee feels a small surge of energy. “There, now you know swift!”
Crystal pounces on Vee and they both begin laughing and roughhousing together.
“I’ve got you Vee!” Crystal laughs.
“No, I’ve got you now!” Vee rolls from underneath Crystal and turns the tables. Vee’s tail wags uncontrollably. “Take this!”
Suddenly, someone clears his throat.
Vee and Crystal freeze.
“Hey Vee, long time no see!” It’s Volt.
Vee gasps. “Volt!!!!!!!” Vee climbs off of Crystal and runs to give Volt a hug.
Volt pushes Vee away. “Woah Vee! We don’t know each other that well yet.” He laughs nervously.
Crystal’s eyes sparkle, “Wow, a Jolteon!”
Behind Volt, there’s a Rockruff. “Are you two my teammates?”
“Is your name Rex?” asks Vee.
The Rockruff proudly puts his paw on his chest. “Sure is!”
“Then you must be our leader.” says Crystal in awe. “You look strong.”
“Yup! I’m level five!”
Vee’s eyes sparkle, “Wow! Level five! I’m only level three.”
Volt chuckles nervously, “Guys, let’s get back on topic.”
Vee’s ear tilt slightly. “Oh yeah! I forgot to ask, what are you doing here Volt?”
Volt smiles. “Why, I’m your mentor of course!”
“What!” Crystal and Vee yell at the same time.
Volt grins. “Sure am!”
Rex walks over to Crystal, “Never seen a Vaporeon before. You look strong!”
Crystal smiles. “So do you!”
Volt regains everyone’s attention. “First things first, I want know your movesets! You go first Vee.”
“I know quick attack and swift!” Vee smiles proudly. “Zorua gave me a TM to learn it early.”
Volt smiles. “Good! What do you know Crystal?”
Crystal blushes. “I know quick attack and Bubble beam.”
Volt turns to Rex. “Rex knows tackle, bite and Stonedge.”
Vee and Crystal gasp. “You know stonedge? That’s such a strong move!” Vee’s tail wags,
The Rockruff smiles proudly. “My dad gave me a TM. It’s super powerful.”
Vee wags his tail. “I can’t believe it!”
Vee’s moment is here, his adventure has just begun. His dreams… his hopes… they’ve come true.
Annnnnnd there goes episode two! A mix of fun stuff and story plot. Episode three will be started soon and maybe I’ll rewrite some of this later. I kinda felt a little bored with my writing style in some parts, so I’ll do better in episode three.
shoutout to @fernandoapika24 for helping me finish this!
Vee turns to face ribbons as they walk and asks “Ribbons, where are we going?”
Ribbons chuckles but doesn’t slow down. “You’ll see.”
Vee eagerly follows Ribbons to the entrance of the house, his tail wagging the entire way.
Vee stops just before they step out. Vee gives Ribbons a curious look. “Ribbons, are we going outside?”
Ribbons giggles “Yes Vee, we’re going to visit a special place you’ve wanted to see for a long time.”
The doors open, revealing the outside the house,
All sorts of Pokémon are everywhere, a Fenniken is bartering with a Absol in the distance. Several stalls filled with apples, revives, potions and other items are alongside the dirt paths leading around the town.
Vee has never gotten a decent look at the town before, and it is so much more active than he remembers.
Ribbons giggles. “I love Bustlewood town.”
Vee’s eyes sparkle in the sunlight. “I’ve never seen so many different Pokémon before!”
Ribbons pats Vee on the head with a feeler and says “Don’t forget Vee, I’m still taking you somewhere special.”
Vee’s ears twitch curiously. “This isn’t the place?”
Ribbons giggles. “Nope.”
Vee follows Ribbons down one of the dirt roads, straight through the center of town. Vee see’s even more new Pokémon, like a Kecleon merchant selling items, or a group of Smoliv playing with a Leafeon.
Suddenly Ribbons stops at the entrance of a big building, almost as big as the house Vee lives in.
“We’re here Vee!” Ribbons chirps.
“Wait a minute… is this… NO WAY RIBBONS!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 1.2: The place where all adventures begin.
Vee’s eyes widen in awe. He can’t believe that Ribbons took him here. The guild building. A shiny crest emblem of a shooting star with wings is seen right above the entrance.
“What do you say Vee, wanna go inside?”
Vee hears his own heartbeat for a second. This is his chance. His perfect chance to finally start an adventure, the guild is quite literally the hub of adventures in Bustlewood.
Vee clears his throat. “Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes-” Ribbons cuts Vee off by covering his mouth. “Calm down Vee.”
Vee’s legs are trembling from the excitement. Vee drops to all fours, unable to handle standing on two legs. “R-ribbons…” Ribbons looks at Vee. “C-can I go inside?”
“Calm down Vee. Don’t worry, we’re going inside,” Ribbons rubs her head awkwardly.
Vee tries really hard to stop his legs trembling. “You have no idea how long i’ve been waiting for a chance like this.” Vee can’t find any words. “I… I-” Ribbons cuts Vee off. “You don’t need to say much, just follow me inside.”
Ribbons uses her feelers to push the entrance door open.
The ambiance changes. The noise from the market dies down, replaced with the chatter from visitors and members of the guild alike. Vee gets a whiff of metal, likely from someone’s gear.
The inside of the guild building is crazy different from the eeveelution house. There aren’t much floor planks in favor of a dirt floor. Rows of equipment for various pokémon hang on the wall. A counter with a bored lookin Zorua can be seen across from the door.
“This is it Vee!” Ribbons chirps. “Your chance for an adventure, or three!” Ribbons sticks her tongue out playfully.”
Vee’s ears twitch curiously, “What do you mean Ribbons?”
Ribbons giggles. “I’m saying you can join the guild if you want Vee.” Vee tenses up, practically ready to pounce in Ribbons from excitement. “Buuuuuuuuuuut…” Ribbons says. “I need to know if you’re ready for something like this. Before you can join, I need you to help me investigate who raided the kitchen, a simple no risk mission. Can you handle it Vee?”
Vee takes a deep breath. “Yes Ribbons.”
Vee thinks to himself “I can’t mess this up, this is my chance. My real chance. Joining a guild would be perfect for me, I could go on adventures all the time!”
Ribbons steps across the guild to the counter with the Zorua. “Hi! Is the where I can put in requests?”
The Zorua sighs. “Yes, this is where you can put in requests.” He points to a chart on the wall to the left. “Use this chart to determine what rank your mission is.”
Vee looks to the chart on the wall. There is so much information that it makes his head spin.
Ribbons says, “Don’t worry, it’s just a F rank mission. Someone raided the kitchen in the Eeveelution house, and Luna has asked me to investigate.”
The Zorua looks at Vee. “Who’s this?”
Ribbons giggles. “That’s V-” Vee cuts Ribbons off. “My name is Vee!” Vee’s wags his tail rapidly.
The Zorua can’t help but stifle a laugh. “Awww, how cute.”
Vee grumbles a little. “I’m not cute.”
In the backround, clanging metal can be heard from a rescue team gearing up for a mission.
A trio of Litten, Rockruff and Buneary. Sparky, Gemstone and Bounce.
Sparky tightens his satchel and looks over to Bounce. “Did you hear what happened at the Eeveelution house?”
Bounce turns to Sparky, “I think everyone is Bustlewood has heard by now. It’s not much of a problem, but I have to wonder how they pulled it off.”
Gemstone wags his tail. “I was wondering the same thing Bounce. Hmmmm.”
In the time it took for you to read this side character interaction, Ribbons has already finished hiring the guild. Luckily it was boring anyway.
The Zorua hands Ribbons a piece of paper. “Since this is an F rank mission of low priority, I’m only assigning one guild member.” Zorua takes a deep breath and whistles loudly.
The whistle can be heard from across the guild, and everyone quiets down. “Shimmer, we have a mission for you!”
A few moments later, a cute Alolan Vulpix emerges from behind the counter. “Ooh, a mission?! It’s been ages since someone’s given me anything to do.”
The Zorua waves his paw dismissively. “If it was up to me, you would have missions all the time. Besides, I’m only subbing at the receptionist desk until you complete your other mission. Thought you could use a break for an easier case.”
Shimmer sighs. “I know, I just wish I had any leads, any clues, to where she went.”
Vee is a little tired of standing around listening. But he also is a little curious about Shimmers other mission. “What are you talking about?”
Shimmer turns to Zorua for approval. The Zorua hesitates, but nods anyway. “The usual receptionist, Stella, has gone missing. Poor Zorua here has to fill in for her until she comes back.”
Vee’s ears twitch curiously. “Missing?”
Shimmer sighs, “Vanished into thin air.” Shimmer paces back and forth. “I’m the best detective in the guild, but I can’t find any leads, clues or traces of Stella anywhere.”
Vee’s ears droop. “I’m sorry…”
Shimmer giggles. “It’s not your fault.” Shimmers three tails wave gracefully behind her.
Ribbons clears her throat but can’t help a smile. “I think we’re getting a little off topic.”
The Zorua groans. “The Sylveon is right, this isn’t there problem. I need you to investigate who raided the kitchen in the Eeveelution house.”
Shimmer stops in her tracks. “A… kitchen raid?”
The Zorua rolls his eyes. “A pretty massive one, the culprit stole everything.”
Shimmer tilts her head. “Everything?”
The Zorua nods. “Everything.”
Shimmer frowns. “Thats actually quite a lot. I wonder why they did that?”
Zorua shrugs. “I don’t know, but the Sylveon is a representative sent by Luna to investigate the incident. You’ll be working with her and that Eevee to find who did it.”
Shimmer stretches. “A change of pace would be nice…” She thinks for a moment. “Alright, I’ll do it.”
Vee can’t help but smile, adventure is right around the corner for him.
Ribbons escorts Vee and Shimmer to the Eeveelution house. (The place episode 0 took place in.)
The trio of Vee, Shimmer and Ribbons meets up in the kitchen, which has been fully restocked since the incident.
The kitchen looks a lot like a cafeteria, with tables and trays of food everywhere. They’re a few chefs, but they mostly cook frozen food.
To the left behind the counter, lies the stash. A couple boxes filled with snacks and deserts anyone can take. So long as you don’t take too many.
Shimmer looks around the room. “So, there wasn’t any evidence about who did it?”
Ribbons sighs. “Nope. I wasn’t aware about this until a few hours after it happened.”
Shimmer sighs with annoyance. “Before asking me, why didn’t you find someone who was at the scene recently after the incident?”
Ribbons laughs awkwardly. “Wellllllllll. I didn’t think of that.”
Shimmer facepalms. “Alright fine. Looks like i’m doing this the hard wa-” Vee grabs Shimmers leg to get her attention. “Yes Vee?”
Vee clears his throat. “I think I was there after the incident.”
Shimmer goes eye to eye with Vee. “How?”
Vee tells Shimmer the truth. “My friend Magenta the Leafeon told me right away about what happened. Although she was a little more upset about the lack of baguettes than anything.”
Shimmer looks confused. “Baguettes?” She shakes her head rapidly. “Okay that doesn’t matter. What did the scene look like before it was cleaned up?”
Vee thinks really hard. “Crowded, but there was a Eevee guarding the replacement shipment.”
Shimmer groans. “Why isn’t there anything useful?”
Shimmer desperately tries to think of a reason for someone to raid the kitchen. Everything is free, so what do they not want people to know about?
Vee is trying really hard, he remembers what Ribbons told him. That he could join a guild if he could handle himself in this mission.
Vee’s ears perk up. “I have an idea! Let’s ask Magenta! She knows everything about the kitchen!”
Shimmer sighs. “Not like we have a better idea.”
Vee’s ear droop. “Why do you sound upset already? This adventure just started.”
Shimmer gets serious. “None of your business stupid Eevee.”
Ribbons scowls and says “Shimmer! What was that for?”
Shimmer calms down. “I-I’m sorry. I just…”
Ribbons turns to Vee, who is a little shocked from the outburst, but unfazed by the insult.
Ribbons asks “Are you okay Vee?”
Vee says “Yup!” Vee wags his tail. “It’s like Dusk says, sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me!”
Ribbons is relieved. “Good job Vee!”
Vee itches his ear. “No problem!” Vee looks around the room. “Let’s start in the living room!”
Vee, Shimmer and Ribbons are now in the living room. Luna and Magenta are sitting on the couch together. Luna is pretending Magenta doesn’t exist.
Vee darts over to the couch with a huge smile. “Magenta!”
Magenta jolts forward. “What!?”
Vee skids to a stop. “Magenta, it’s just me. Vee!”
Magenta rubs her eyes. “Oh, hi Vee!”
Vee bounces around. “Magenta, I’m on an adventure!”
Magenta’s eyes widen. “Really? You actually did it!”
Shimmer clears her throat. “Vee, don’t get sidetracked.”
Magenta turns to the Alolan Vulpix. “Um… who are you?” she asks with a confused look. It’s rare to see someone who isn’t a eeveelution in the Eeveelution house.
Shimmer introduces herself: “My name is Shimmer, and I’m here to investigate the kitchen raid.”
Magenta perks up. “Oh! I had almost forgot about that. It feels so long ago.”
“Are you sure this Leafeon can help us Vee.” asks Shimmer.
Vee flashes a smile then goes “Yup!”
Magenta’s face lights up, “Are you asking for details about what I saw after the raid.”
Shimmer nods. “Anything and everything.”
Magenta’s chest rises and falls as she takes a deep breath. “Okay, where do I start?”
Episode 1.7: Interview
Man did everyone just forget about last episode Luna? Oh well.
Shimmer looks Magenta in the eye.
Magenta itches her head. She then says “I got up that day, did my usual things. Then I went to get breakfast, but when I arrived at the kitchen, everything was a big mess. Crumbs everywhere, cabinets left open, no edible food left anywhere. And worst of all.” She sniffles. “They stole my stash of baguettes!”
Vee and Shimmer share a look of confusion, “Do you hoard… baguettes Magenta?” asks Vee.
Magenta nods. “For some reason, I just really like baguettes.”
Shimmer tries to get back on topic. “Focus, who did you see near the kitch-” Footsteps cut Shimmer off. A smug looking Dusk poses dramatically. “Did anyone ask for me?”
“No.” reply’s Vee, Ribbons, and Shimmer at the same time.”
Dusk sticks his tongue out. “Relax, I was just joking.”
Shimmer groans, “Aren’t Umbreon’s supposed to be dark and edgy?”
Dusk laughs and says “Thats a boooooooorring stereotype.”
Luna finally says something, “Trust me, I wish Dusk lived up to the stereotypes.”
Dusk blows a raspberry at Luna.
Shimmer claps her paws. “Focus! Did you see anyone Magenta?”
Magenta sighs “I wasn’t paying attention.”
Dusk tilts his head. “Oh! You’re talking about the kitchen raid, I saw a Eevee with a lightning bolt on his face leaving the kitchen that day.”
Vee’s ears perk up. “You mean Zip? That one Eevee that knows Extreme speed?”
Ribbons stay’s behind in the living room, but Vee, Dusk, and Shimmer head to Zip’s room.
Vee stands in front of Zip’s door, but something isn’t sitting right. “Shimmer, I don’t think Zip would do this.”
Shimmer hesitates. “Vee, sometimes people aren’t who you think they are.”
Vee whines and says “But Zip is my friend!”
Dusk shrugs.
Shimmer doesn’t wait any longer. Shimmer knocks on Zips door.
Zip yawns. Zip stands up and makes his way to his door. He opens it and goes fave to face with Shimmer. “Um… who are you? I was expecting Patch, not some random Alolan Vulpix.”
“I’m from the guild, we have suspicions that you raided the kitchen.” Shimmer replies.
Zip notices Vee looking sad. “Zip, you didn’t do this, right?”
Zip looks confused. “Who even said it was me.”
Dusk shrugs, “I didn’t say it was you, all I said was that you were near the kitchen before the raid.”
Zip sighs, “I was grabbing this.” He points to a box of chips.
Vee’s ears perk up. “Really! So it wasn’t you?”
Zip nods, “I don’t have time for this.” Zip slams the door in Shimmers face.
Shimmer is frustrated. She has no clues, no leads, and now random people are getting caught up in this. “I don’t think this case is worth it, I can’t do anything without a lead.”
Vee’s ears droop. He musters up the courage to say, “Come on! I thought the guild never gave up!”
Shimmer actually smiles. “I’m not giving up, I’m putting this on hold. You seem like a smart Eevee. If you ever find any clues, you can come back to me.”
Ribbons swings around the corner. “Hey guys, how goes the mission?”
Shimmer sighs. “Failure, I’m putting this on hold. I have more important missions to worry about.”
Ribbons smiles understandingly. “No problem! I kind of expected this to happen.”
Vee looks at Ribbons pleadingly. “Ribbons, I remember your promise. I’m sorry the mission failed, guess that means I can’t join the guild.”His ears droop and he almost walks away.
Ribbons clears her throat and says “I said if you handle yourself on the mission, I never said it had to be a success.”
Vee perks up, Vee’s fur seems to poof up as he yells “Really?!”
Ribbons nods.
Shimmer’s face shows confusion. “You’d let this Eevee join the guild? He can’t possibly be even level four.”
Ribbons smiles and says “Only if thats what Vee wants, he has to get stronger somehow.” Ribbons begins to walk away. “And the best way to do that is with friends rather than alone.”
Ribbons walks until she is of earshot of everyone, then she whispers to herself. “Vee must be prepared for what comes next.”
Dusk stands around the corner, “I don’t think Ribbons knew I was here. What does she mean by that…” he puts a little thought into it. “Oh well.” He shrugs.
Episode 1.9: The real culprit.
Ribbons walks alone down the riverbank, close to the Eeveelution house. She passes by a few Pidgey.
Ribbons eventually stops at a patch of leaves, she brushes them away, revealing a trap door. Ribbons checks to see if the coast is clear, then she opens the door.
Inside is the stolen kitchen food, neatly packed away as if nothing happened.
Ribbons smiles. “No one can know, no one needs to know.” She sighs in relief. “Not if I can stop it first.”
Insane stuff I know. Don’t worry next episode will be more like the pilot, as I’m switching between light hearted episodes and story focused ones.
For context if you’re new to the series, Eevee’s world takes place in the PC storage.
It’s a web series(but without images) inspired by Eevee Army, SSEC, Eeveelution squad, Vee Funkin, Funkmon, and the entire R/Eevee and R/Eeveelution squad subreddit.
Some episodes will be story focused and some will be antics focused.
This story is heavily inspired by Ssec: and takes place in the pc storage system. Also the Eevee’s are bipedal and can stand on both four and two legs.
this is not quite a prologue, but a character introduction.
Episode 0: Adventure!
A yawn is heard. A young Eevee blinks. Once, twice, trice. Then he rubs the sleep from his eyes. Vee groans and rolls off the bed.
“Ouch!”
*Cue image of Vee facedown on the floor.
“Damn it…”
Vee’s bedroom is simple, a bed, some random trinkets on a shelf. And a motivational poster of three Jolteons posing and a quote that reads “Adventure begins in the sky!”
Vee pushes himself off the floors and rubs his eyes. “Adventure…” he mumbles.
Vee’s fists tighten as he looks up and yells “Adventure!”
“I’ve got it! I’ll go ask around to see if anyone has some adventure ideas!” Vee completely forgets his sleepiness. Vee bolts out the open bedroom door and darts into the hallways.
Vee rushes past a few random Eevee’s, one of them wearing a bandana.
Vee catches a glimpse of Dusk shoving his face full of Cheeto puffs but Vee doesn’t stop to say hi.
All Dusk can mutter before Vee goes out of sight again is “Hmm?” Dusk shrugs and puts his paw back in the bag.
Vee pants as he runs through the hallways, but he’s almost reached his goal. The living room!
Episode 0.1: Dibs
Luna the Glaceon is sitting on the blue coach half asleep. She mumbles “not another one” before snapping awake at Vee’s footsteps.
Luna opens her eyes to find Vee inches away from her face.
”Hi Luna!” Chirps Vee.
Luna immediately shoves Vee away.
“Get away from me you monster!”
Vee’s smile fades, he raises a finger to speak but… he can’t think of anything to say.
“Luna? Are you okay?”
Luna’s eyesight clears and she realizes she’s starting at Vee.
“Sorry Ned, or Vee, or whoever you are… I had I nightmare.” says Luna.
“Who even is Ned?” Vee tilts his head.
“Not important.” Luna goes to stand up but pauses and asks. “By the way, is Dusk doing his job?”
“What job?” Vee asks innocently. “I’m pretty sure I saw Dusk shoving his face full of cheetos or something.”
“Dusk…” Luna’s eyes narrow, and a glint can been seen in the light. Luna turns to the hallway and looks back at Vee. “He should have learned his lesson the first time.”
Vee takes a step back. “What lesson? Dusk isn’t THAT lazy.”
Luna smiles menacingly and says “He should have learned not to eat the last cheeto puffs.”
Vee’s ears droop. “The… cheeto puffs?”
Luna puts one foot through the doorframe and says “I called dibs.”
Luna steps out the living room.
Vee looks around the empty living room. Says “Okay then.” and pretends that never happened.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <— epik diy divider bar patent pending trademark @eethevee totally original shut up.
Magenta looks around the room nervously.“When do you think Luna will be back?”
“Probably not for a while.” says Vee. “Whats so important anyways?”
Magenta takes a deep breath. “We. Are. Out. Of. Baguettes.”
Vee blinks. “Baguettes?” Vee blinks again. “That’s it?”
Magenta puts a paw behind her head nervously. “Weeeeeeeellll… not just baguettes. More like…”
“More like what?” says Vee.
“More like the entire kitchen has been raided.” Magenta finishes.
“Wait… the ENTIRE KITCHEN. H-how did they even pull that off?” Vee stammers.
Magenta says “I don’t know… but no one knows who did it. I don’t think it was Dusk either.”
Vee tries to keep a straight face, but cracks a smile and stifles a laugh.
Magenta asks “Vee, are you okay?”
Vee can’t hold back anymore and bursts into laughter. “The entire kitchen! That’s hilarious!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 0.3: Yes, the entire kitchen.
Brace yourself guys, we’re introducing lots of background and side Eevee’s. They totally won’t have any importance later. *Winks at you twenty times.*
Cue Vee, Magenta, Luna and a beaten up looking Dusk with Cheeto dust all over his paws are standing in the kitchen.
There is a small crowd of Eevee’s, mostly laughing and joking around.
A medium sized Eevee named Patch with a heart shaped mark on her forehead is chatting with a sleek and fast looking Eevee named Zip, who has a lighting bolt on his back.
Patch looks around the crowded room and asks “Zip, did some actually steal ALL the food from the kitchen?”
Zip looks irritated “Do you really think you’re the only one who’s hungry Patch?”
“I don’t care! I’m hungry!” whines patch.
Zip pulls out a bag of potato chips. “Fine, eat these.” and give’s them to Patch.
”Yippee!” Chirps patch.
Meanwhile all the aforementioned Eeveelutions standing around the kitchen are now arguing with random Eevee’s.
Episode 0.4: Meet… the troll! (And the whimp)
imagine tf2 music when you read read the episode name by the way.
Elsewhere…
???: “I’ve done it…”
And now back to your regularly scheduled episode.
A few hours have passed since last episode, the kitchen was restocked and the Eevee’s have been fed. Also there’s a random Eevee that no one knows the name of guarding the food like a hawk. Anyone who tries to ask gets snarled at. Said Eevee has a streak of red paint across his/her face.
Time to introduce more main characters!
Meet the most evil Espeon known to Eeveekind… Psy!
Likes: Trolling, Flare.
Dislikes: Luna.
And now meet the most whimpy Flareon also known to Eeveekind… Flare!
Likes: Psy.
Dislikes: Everything.
Flare sits alone in the Eevee’s common room, a well lit space made up of several rooms with the doors removed. Wooden flooring and drywall.
Flare walks around trying to start a conversation. “H-hello?”
Suddenly a tough looking Eevee with a few scars shoves Flare.
“How come you got to evolve when no one else did?”
“W-what?” Flare stammers.
“You’re a Flareon, that means you used a fire stone. How come YOU got to evolve when you’re so wimpy and pathetic. It should have been me, NOT you.”
“I-I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to evolve on purpose. Really, I mean it.” Flare quivers on the ground.
“Sorry isn’t good enough. I, Terrin, should have found that firestone first.” Terrin scoffs and walks away.
Right as Flare begins to pick himself up, a purple paw emerges from the crowd.
“God, that was pathetic.” the unknown Eevee says.
Flares eyes narrow. Now he can see who it is, some sort of Espeon.
The Espeon grabs Flare’s paw and pulls him up.
Flare mumbles ”T-thanks.”
“No problem, my name is Psy by the way. And don’t worry, that eevee will be taken care of.”
“T-taken care of? What do you mean?” Flare stammers.
“What I mean is…
Cut to Terrin from earlier clutching his head.
All Terrin can hear is It’s Raining Taco’s is playing on loop inside his head.
Terrin’s paws reach for the ceiling and he yells “No… No! Noooooooooooooooooo!”
“The worst punishment imaginable.” Psy continues.
So basically Psy is a big troll but has a soft spot for Flare. Probably so she can justify some of her trolling.
Flare, Vee, and Magenta are sitting on the blue couch together. Magenta looks left and right nervously. “Magenta, everything all right?” asks Flare.
Magenta jolts forward “Of course!”
Vee’s ears perk up. Vee turns his head to Magenta. “Are you sure? You sound really nervous.”
Magenta rubs the back of her head nervously. “Yeah, it’s just… I’ve never had friends before. I’m worried I’ll mess up.”
Vee tilts his head. “Mess up?”
Magenta rubs her arms and says “I just don’t know how to be a good friend…”
Flare crawls to Magenta from across the other end of the couch, pushing Vee out of the way by accident. “Ow Flare! Watch it!”
Flare looks back at Vee over his shoulder. “Sorry Vee!” Before continuing crawling across the couch. Flare snuggles up against Magenta. “This better?”
Magenta blushes. “A little bit.”
Vee smiles and looks up at the ceiling. “I think I like it here.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Episode 0.6: Fish
Vee walks around the Eevee common room, looking for some new friends, but a playful looking Vaporeon catches his eye.
The Vaporeon notices Vee and slowly turns towards him.
Vee’s ears twitch. “H-hi?”
The Vaporeon doesn’t respond. His tail raises in the air, and he gets in a position ready to pounce.
The Vaporeon suddenly leaps foward and tackles Vee. He stands proudly on Vee’s chest.“I’veeeee got you!”
Vee blinks for a second. Then Vee smiles “Ha… ha. Ha ha hahahahaha! You’ve got me!” Vee giggles.
The Vaporeon grins. “I know! I know! My name is Crystal! What’s your name?”
Vee’s smile grows wider. “My name is Vee.”
Crystal snuggles into Vee’s chest. “Please Vee please! Can we be friends? You’re so much fun!”
Vee rolls out from underneath Crystal. “I was thinking the same thing!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 0.7: Memories
“Where am I?”
“Oh yeah… I remember.”
“I nearly forgot.”
“But still.”
“It feels like I’m forgetting something.”
“But what?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 0.8: Poster shot
Vee’s in his room struggling to reach his Jolteon poster. He accidentally left his door open.
Vee stands as tall as he can, reaching for the poster. “Come on! Hmpf!”
Vee hears footsteps down the hallway.
“Hello? Can anyone help me?”
A tall, confident looking Jolteon enters Vee’s room.
Vee’s eyes sparkle, he’s never actually seen a real Jolteon before.
Jolteon smiles proudly. “The name’s Volt! Need some help with that poster?”
Vee snaps back into reality. “Y-yes please! I just can’t reach it!”
Volt walks to the poster and poses dramatically.
Volt flashes a quick smile. “Nice choice of a poster little Eevee!”
“My name is Vee!” Vee smiles. “And thank you! Luna gave it to me as a souvenir from when she went to visit the wind cla-” Volt suddenly cuts Vee off.
Volt rubs his chin. “The wind clan? Huh, I’ve never seen Luna go out before.”
Volt flashes yet another smile and says “Well, I guess I’ll see you around Vee!” and heads out the doorframe.
Vee smiles and tilts his head “Bye Volt.”
Suddenly Vee’s ears perk up. “Wait a minute, you forgot to take down the poster!” and he runs after Volt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 0.9: Feelers (haha get it? Sylveons have feelers? Yeah I’ll shut up now.)
Ribbons the Sylveon is taking a nap in the Eevee common area. With several younger Eevee’s cuddled up around herself.
Ribbons yawns and stretches her ribbon feelers in the air. *Yawns.* “Good morning!”
The Eevee’s stir, yawning and stretching. “Hi Ribbons!” says one of them.
Ribbons is well loved by the Eevee kits, often taking care of them.
One of the kits opens her eyes groans cutely.
The same kit whines, “Please… just five more minutes.”
Ribbons giggles. “Sorry, but I warned you that Luna asked me to investigate who stole the food from the kitchen, remember?”
Another one of the Eevee kits rolls over and covers his eyes with a paw. “But how come YOU have to do it? Why can’t Dusk or Volt do it?”
Ribbons smiles patiently. “Because it’s my turn to handle an incident. They both handled the last one.”
The last Eevee kit giggles. “The one where Flare got himself stuck on the roof?”
Ribbons giggles warmly to herself. “Yes. That one.”
Ribbons give’s all the kits a moment to get up before moving.
Ribbons goes to stand up, but one of the kits grabs her left foot. “All right you guys, I really have to go now.”
The kit slowly loosens his grip on Ribbons foot and Ribbons take the chance to pull free from his paw.
Ribbons smiles again and says “Don’t worry guys, I’ll be back!” Ribbons doesn’t waste much time in walking to the hallway, but she looks back over her shoulder at the tiny kits with a pang of guilt.
