Always hated the idea of this, but what if I made Jeanette not the Joker’s daughter
“Oh baby that’s what I like to see.” she murmurs as she inspects the cash, it was all there and it was all real. “Thanks doll.” She closes the case and turns to lean against the table.
“Dinner you say? Well I don’t have any plans, and I can certainly think of worse ways to spend my evening. Alright then, its a date.” She winks. But was it a date? They playfully flirted so often that she wasn’t sure what was serious and what wasn’t. She quietly hopes it is a real offer of a date, Jeanette was beautiful and clever and Rhoda was quite taken with her.
Jeanette smiled at the other accepting her offer. “I’m a wonderful cook.” She said. Although she seemed well off enough to have cooks and more than just body guards, she loved cooking for herself; occasionally letting one of her friends cook dinner for the two.
“I hope that you realize that I’m interested in you and I do want this to be a date.” She said, very blunt about it. She didn’t like dancing around too long.
"So are you still Jenny from the block? or has Gotham changed you?"
@sidneythekidneybean
“Well I did learn a few things. Gotham is a lot different than other places. You never know if the person you beat up is the Scarecrow’s henchman or not...”
“Well then you’d better cough up, I ain’t a cheap date y’know.” she gives a playful wink and enters her new friend’s home.
“Nice place ya got here.” she muses as she wanders around, eyeing everything curiously. “You invite me here for any reason or did ya just wanna stare at my pretty face all night?”
“It’s all here.” Jeanette drummed her fingers on the suitcase on the table that was near the door. “It’s right here.” She preferred paying her under the table rather than through the banks. Although they could route money without the police knowing, she preferred Edward not knowing how much she paid Rhoda.
She smiled when the other questioned why she was there. “You’re exactly right, I love seeing that pretty face of yours.” She said. “I was also wondering if you’d be interested in having dinner here tonight.”

All is silent as he leans in and mumbles a quick “I adore you” to the person next to him, waiting for their reaction.
then ever so s l o w l y he takes them by their arms annd presses them against the glass of the window before breaking it and attempting to push them out.
“Joke’s on you! HAHAHA.”
It wasn’t on Jeanette’s to do list to run into the Joker, actually, that was the opposite of what was on her to do list. She was here for a completely different reason; but finding him just as he shoved some poor person out a window was just what seemed to be in her cards. She didn’t get a good look at them, but she hardly cared about them. Jeanette was in this situation now.
She had two options; run or confront. Both of which were dangerous. The pride in her kept her from choosing to flee though and she ended up speaking up. “Pushing unsuspecting people out a window is quite rude, you know.”

“Oh! ummm… yeah, shit… I mean thanks I mean you too… I mean, shit!” Jean stammered and looked at the floor. “I’m Jean Hanson” Jean was dying inside, a perfectly beautiful woman had just called her beautiful and she couldn’t even say thanks without stuttering?
Jeanette smiled at the young lady’s awkwardness. “Jeanette Markham.” She offered her.

Jeanette knew she probably shouldn’t have become friends with Eddie’s henchman, but after working with her a few times, she grew to like her. It’s why Jeanette had invited Rhoda to her place, rather than meet up at her office.
“I don’t think I ever got to pay you for our last rendezvous.” She said in reference to the last heist that she had borrowed the other for.

“Gotham is a really fucked up place. I don’t know how you do it.” She didn’t know why she was having this conversation with him. Jeanette had tried to leave Gotham herself after coming here a couple of months ago but it had some kind of hold on her. There was something about it that made her want to stay here; like there was something she had to do.
