Sharing posts and making fun of drama on the internet. Yes, I'm kinda focused on YandereDev drama right now, because that's the big one that's busy pissing me off right now.
Friendly reminder that DrApeis is a compulsive liar
I’ve seen a lot of posts in response to the allegations against DrApeis that are trying to defend then and take their claims at face value. Last week I looked through their Reddit post history and a couple of other sources, and did some basic investigating to get a better look into their character. I have found conflicting information that proves the fact that DrApeis has a habit of lying for their own benefit. Below are common “facts” about them followed by contradicting evidence in their own words.
DrApeis claiming that “Lovesick” was coded in two weeks.
DrApeis shows interest in remaking YanSim and shows off code modifications... two months before the “LoveSick” announcement.
DrApeis says that they studied coding in college.
DrApeis tells Reïzod their actual age.
And finally, proof that DrApeis had an agenda against YandereDev before their announcement trailer.
So before any of you take any of DrApeis’s rebuttals at face value, just remember that Love Letter, at its current state, was built on a foundation of spite, lies, and exploitation.
Apparently the lead artist for Love Letter (the creator of Bow-Chan) was just recently fired for leaking screenshots to a YanSim mod, and now Apeis is saying that he owns the rights to her design, despite there never being any contract like that. It looks like Love Letter is really falling apart.
DrApeis is currently facing accusations from numerous former members of their team. There is FAR too much to go over in detail, so HERE is the page documenting all of them, and HERE is a twitter page with the screenshots and links to the official statements.
To summarize: There is evidence from multiple accounts suggesting that DrApeis is stealing copyrighted materials, refusing to pay volunteers, allowing and participating in sexual harassment, bullying and doxxing underage fans, banning people for no reason, dismissing any and all criticism, organizing a raid on a video criticizing them, scamming money out of the project, and being generally incompetent in developing their game. If any of this sounds familiar, you probably heard some of these exact claims being made against YandereDev. The only difference being that these claims are being made by people who were directly involved with the project, as opposed to a group of KiwiFarms/4chan rejects looking for any excuse to harass them.
In other words: “DrApeis developed YandereDev’s reputation in only two weeks.”
I noticed that in your post about the girl's art, you failed to talk about her reaction to being "found": she was delighted. She was so grateful to see that people cared about her well-being, and she loved all the fanart that people were making. You were making it out to be a horror story, when it was really quite wholesome.
She was delighted because she was under the impression that they were a group of good samaritan artists that wanted to make her feel better for having her art made fun of, as opposed to an obsessive hatedom who only tracked her down to gain more ammo to use against an indie developer that she’d never heard of.
I think the worst thing I can say about YandereDev is that he... talks kinda weird? You see it in his videos and his blog posts; he approaches things very logically and speaks very literally. Sometimes this means he doesn't speak very tactfully and that doesn't end well for him. It's not nice to call someone a conman, but if that's what he said in his debunk post then he's probably right. He wouldn't use that word if he didn't honestly believe it was true. And I don't think that's something he has to apologize for, nor something that people should hold against him.
And yes, he's been known to be emotional and speak irrationally at times. You never get used to dealing with harrassment on a scale like that. I'd hazard a guess that he still doesn't know how to handle the emotions that rise up whenever this happens; how could anyone know how to handle it? Being a public figure doesn't mean you suddenly know the best way to handle any scandal. He's doing his best the only way he knows how.
YandereDev is a person struggling through this as much as anyone would.
I am so glad somebody finally said this. I have a lot of friends and family with Autism Spectrum Disorders and my wife counsels adults with mental disorders that interfere with their daily lives, so I know from personal experience that not everyone is capable of properly managing their emotions in circumstances like these. It’s entirely possible that topics related to the harassers, the hack, and DrApeis are straight-up anxiety triggers for the guy. One of the reasons I choose to support him is because I’ve dealt with people in similar situations for most of my life, and people constantly calling him out and trying to cancel him are making things exponentially worse for him, regardless of whether or not they admit it. Yes, YandereDev has problems, but the people who are obsessively looking for reasons to vilify him are not going to fix any of them, they’re only going to make them worse and worse.
I was actually planning my own post about the whole thing, but this has brought some new information to light. I’ll have to wait to see any follow-ups.
YandereDev stole and made fun of some little kid’s art...
Or at least, that’s what the anti-YandereDev crowd is claiming THIS week. According to them, he recolored a drawing made by a 10-year-old girl, claimed that it was fanart that someone sent him, and proceeded to make fun of it in one of his videos. So they decided to do a bunch of fanart of this character, try to convince DrApeis to include it in Love Letter as a character named Arya Codinson (no, seriously), and try to get in touch with the original artist so that they can send their love. And yet again, the truth behind this situation amounts to a huge pile of nothing being blown completely out of proportion...
First off, there’s the context behind the whole thing. About four years ago, YandereDev made a video talking about how the number of people who have been sending him less-than-helpful emails has been slowing down development. Here is the clip featuring the art in question:
As you can tell, he is not making fun of a piece of alleged fanart. He never even implies that the picture IS fanart. He’s using an image that looks like it was drawn by a little kid as an example to illustrate how the volunteer requests he’d get often came from people whose artistic talents fell far below his quality standards.
Aside from that, there are a few other things that need to be addressed about this. First of which is the fact that you won’t find this particular video on YandereDev’s channel. He deleted it a long time ago. As far as I know he hasn’t addressed this, so I don’t know the reason why it was deleted. But if I were to hazard a guess: I’d assume that it was either because his policy regarding emails has largely changed in the four years since the video was made, or because he felt that its overall tone was far too negative toward his fanbase. Either way, the fact that people are demonizing him over something they claimed he did in a video that’s been deleted is a little ridiculous.
Beyond that, the way the story is being framed is equally ridiculous. These people are making this claim as though he was publicly humiliating a little kid because their art was trash. Now to be fair, the person in question was a 9-year-old girl when she originally posted that picture... in 2012. On a blog that was abandoned in 2013. So now we have people who are crying out for YanDev’s blood over an old picture drawn by someone who is likely 18 now and has probably completely forgotten that said picture even exists. And then they obsessed over it. They named it. They drew fanart of it. They appropriated it as a symbol for their obsessive hatred for YanDev. They made posts trying to find out how to contact her. They demanded justice for this girl because “that mean ol’ pedophile con-artist who can’t take criticism made fun of a drawing she made when she was a little kid”.
And this all leads to what I feel is the most fucked part of this story: They found her.
Let me repeat that. These people saw a random picture in a deleted 4-year-old video, learned that it was a recolor of a little girl’s drawing from 8 years ago, scoured the entire internet looking for said girl... AND. THEY. FOUND. HER.
Am I the only one who sees how insanely fucking creepy this is? These people spent an entire week tracking down a person based on personal information from a long-abandoned blog, checking email addresses, and going down a chain of old acquaintances that eventually led to them cyberstalking her friends and family; just to tell her that she was the victim of a person that she never heard of who “made fun of” a decade-old drawing that she completely forgot existed. Why? Because they are so desperately obsessed with destroying YanDev’s reputation that they went on a straight-up manhunt to find someone that they could paint as a victim.
So apparently, if you do literally anything that can be associated with YandereDev in any way, you’re not safe. These people have demonstrated that they will go to any length to find someone if they think they can weaponize them against their target. Boundaries mean nothing to them. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, what you did, or how long ago you did it.
In case you didn’t know, Reïzod Appasoulak is a YouTuber who’s been helping DrApeis try to debunk claims being made against him. Mostly involving their petty BS with one of Yandere Simulator’s musicians, CameronF305.
So, I recently watched Reïzod‘s video regarding his accusations toward Cameron using falsified screenshots to make DrApeis look bad. It was… extremely stupid. It’s just 5 minutes of Discord screenshots where Reïzod badgers Cameron about his allegedly fake screenshot and screams “VERDICT GUILTY” like a lunatic. Essentially, his entire argument was that if the screenshot was real, then using a zero-tolerance paint bucket tool in Photoshop would reveal any artifacts left over from image manipulation.
Now Reïzod is busy claiming that he has mountains of evidence against Cameron; even though his only evidence is random conspiracy theories and this video of him endlessly repeating “why is there a gap?” “why is there a gap?” “why is there a gap?” for five minutes. The whole thing sounded completely ridiculous to me, so I decided to test his theory for myself. Surprisingly, it actually works.
Now, the gap has been easily explained by the fact that profile pictures on discord have a drop-shadow if you hover over them with your mouse, so that kinda makes his argument fall apart. However, with this newfound method of testing Discord screenshots, I got curious and decided to try it out on a couple of other screenshots that have been floating around. Specifically, the ones DrApeis allegedly got from EpicMealDev…
And this further confirms Reïzod’s logic. There are almost no artifacts in this image. Barring the possibility of “Inspect Element” editing, this message appears to 100% legit. Although my problem was and still is a crippling lack of context (since anything can be presented out of context to fit someone else’s narrative), it does appear that claims regarding YanDev bullying EpicMealDev have some legitimacy.
Or so it would initially seem. When I tested this on the other screenshots, things got… interesting…
Now that is a LOT of artifacts surrounding the profile pics, the text, the time codes, and even the friggin’ borders. Keep in mind, I didn’t grab these images off of some random virtue signaller’s 50th retweet where they demonize YanDev. All three of these were taken from DrApeis’s Reddit posts where they originally appeared. Admittedly, if all three of them had those artifacts then I would have my doubts. But since one of them doesn’t have them, it raises quite a few questions.
The way I see it, there are only two options here: Either Reïzod’s method for verifying Discord screenshots is wrong and the accusations against Cameron are completely baseless, or his method is right and DrApeis is lying about their screenshots. Either way, things do NOT look good for DrApeis right now, and they have their new best buddy Reïzod to thank for that.
Thank you for pointing that out. To be honest, I completely agree you there. The whole point I was trying to make was that Reïzod’s “evidence” against Cameron was completely baseless and insane; and that his own logic could be used to make the same accusations against the very person he’s trying to defend.
That said: it IS still a little weird that the screenshots that DrApeis shared are in different file formats. I mean, if they were leaked to them by the same person from the same conversation, why aren’t they in the same format?

DrApeis: “Hey guys I stole the assets from yandere simulator so I apologize, I’ll replace them with my own assets”
People: “No no no you needn’t apologize, the fact that you have to apologize just means that yanderedev’s shitty, he definitely threatened you to do this lmaoooo And even if you did steal, that’s perfectly okay because your game is wayyyyy better than that trash<3333″
Yanderedev: “Hey guys I’m sorry for stealing the grass texture, I’ll change that. Since I can’t make my own assets, I’ll pay my volunteers to make the assets specifically for this game, and replace any other placeholder assets.”
People: “lmao yanderedev owns shit, the assets aren’t his, ALL of them were FREE in unity store. He steals everything down to GRASS, you know the grass he stole from 3 FUCKING YEARS AGO? Look at how lazy he is!!!11!1!”
I'm going to loose it if I'm see one more comment complaint about how long it's taking Yandere Dev to make his game.
He legit had no previous experience with coding and coded everything through his own self learning thus leading to many problems with the code which he had to fix THEN teach himself a new program in coding, having to wait for models and voiced lines, teaching a new coder his program, finding a company that actually lets him have the rights to his game, etc, etc.
Stop fucking complaining about how long a game that started out being made by a novice coder BY HIMSELF is taking longer than 6 years. You sound like a petulant child whose not allowed to play the new animal crossing due to misbehavior.
In fact, it took Animal Crossing: New Horizons 8 YEARS to be made by a whole team of people, from conception to release date and that game is STILL BEING UPDATED as often as they can.
Seems like you're the one with your head in the sand. How would you handle being harassed every single day for the past couple of years because you weren't making the game fast enough? How would you handle being sent death threats, being swatted and being told to go die because you didn't complete a game within a couple years?
People do send him hate and it’s not okay. Him getting death threats does not take away from all of the bad things he has done. He doesn’t credit artists, stole a grass texture, and made a body pillow of one of his SCHOOL GIRL characters. One of the rivals is supposed to be an ADULT that works at the school(I can’t remember if it’s a teacher or the nurse.) He harassed the developer of Watashi no Mono and Livesick for having a more popular game. These are just the things that I can think of off the top of my head. He’s not a good person and shouldn’t be supported.
I don’t disagree with people hating him. I disagree with people sending him that hate. People can make jokes about him all they want but as soon as they send it to him is when it crosses the line.
So you’re not okay with directly telling someone that their death would bring you joy, but you are okay with saying it in public where everyone, including the person in question, can see it. Is that what you’re saying?
