a take on Kris Deltarune from last year
I think most interpretations of Felix go along the lines of. 'ahah he's so stupid and wrong abt everything but that's why i love him! such a silly tsundere boy who just needs to get over it and admit he loves Dimitri.'
and every time I try and hold myself back from commenting an essay about how he's completely right about Dimitri in every way. Dimitri is shown to be unstable, dangerous and a poor leader. He's honestly a prime example of why Edelgard is right to dismantle the nobility.
Yes, Felix does love him, and probably has some kind of crush on him. But it's deeply rooted in his childhood connection to him. He's an extremely sentimental character who's uncomfortable with his emotions because, time and time again it's shown that other characters simply don't think about him as much as he does them. He calls Dimitri and him 'once inseparable' and we never hear the same from Dimitri, instead we hear about how Glenn used to be Dimitri's closest friend. Felix's dad also has a clear preference for Dimitri over Felix as well. And eventually when his dad dies protecting Dimitri Felix feels locked into every expectation set on him by his father- which includes protecting Dimitri with his life.
He is also just a complete bitch though.
Sayo's message bottles: Here's my OC Beatrice who's evil and loves killing and making people miserable after giving them the faintest shred of hope. Anyways, here is her killing your whole family
Tohya forgeries: Beatrice has a secret cuteness to her if you think about it
Wanted to say that your style is just absolutely incredible. That pic of Carlo + Romeo blew me away! You've got a way of packing in details and textures, while also keeping the midtones/values clear without overwhelming the piece. Everything works so harmoniously, I had to just stop and soak in all the little details. Keep on doing what you do :D
Thank you so much!
The Lies of P inspired works were a huge turning point for my art so I am still quite fond of the memory. I will keep doing what I do. I appreciate that you stopped by to share your thoughts!

This potato works. Every. Fucking. Time.
Then bring me luck
the day after I posted this last time I was notified that I was selected for a really cool mentorship gig and got an unrelated glowing review at work
Hey Potato, cure my -ing cold so I can have a good time while away.
Here's the potato. Make what use of it you will. :)
I just like potatoes.
working on it
beautiful women will tell you with a straight face "yeah Umineko is like two hundred hours long, but it's even better the second time through" as if there's any world where that's a reasonable thing to say. and the thing is, they'll be correct.
put all of my animal crossing designs together ^^
Thinking about Umineko and Ryukishi07 desmonstrating his ability to be simultaneously indiscreet about the themes of the story while exercising incredible discretion when discussing the story’s mystery.
all these years later umineko is still so formative to me because it was the first work i ever saw that very directly and openly engaged with media literacy as a means to navigate the world with. a good chunk of the narrative is spent building up what is essentially a tookit for approaching different kinds of literary techniques and perspectives and at the end it basically asks you to just go and use that knowledge elsewhere from now on too. it's really compelling to me in a way i feel like i only see very rarely
a lot of stories are about stories but very few will make the act of learning how to engage with them and care for them a core part of their thesis. it takes you by the hand and explains everything in excruciating detail and to some extent i'm really glad that it isn't trimmed down because through that it ends up trying its hardest to help everyone bridge the gap no matter how long it takes
