It's political because the "Protestantism" Brazilians are talking about, which their players are "converting" to, is the same "Protestantism" which supported Bolansaro's wicked regime and provided foot-soldiers for his attempted coup, which in turn is the same "Conservative Evangelicalism" bringing white-supremacy and fascism to the US today under the Republican party, which is In Reality merely The Republican Party picking up a bible and calling itself a religion.

These Players are caping for the SAME ANTIDEMOCRATIC, AntiEgalitarian, Pro-Aristocratic Beliefs that Brazilians kicked out of power 3 years ago, whether they know it or not. They're caping for Global Christofascist Conservatism, whether they know it or not. They're caping for US colonialism, Anglo colonialism, US domination of Brazil, and the FANTASY that their football skills -hard-earned over a lifetime of training and play- are actually in-born signs that god loves them more than everyone else.

And that, in the end, connects to them losing: they believes they didn't need to win the tournament themselves, that god had promised them the victory and would deliver it to them, so they didn't take it seriously and they got beat.

and yes the stimulant meds do help with this too. The right meds should not “alter you forever” I don’t care what facebook moms say. The right meds will lift the weight from your shoulders and you’ll get VERY ANGRY for a bit because everyone else had it this easy the whole time???? I highly recommend trying out some of the medication available for ADHD.

Do you remember the episode of Spongebob where he's training gary for the snail race and does a coach persona + calls gary a girl and has an aside where he's like "I called you a lady to demean you 🤓" and right after he says that it cuts to sandy and she somehow telepathically feels that Spongebob just did something misogynistic and us like I feel like I need to kick Spongebobs ass for some reason. And then she appears just at the end of the episode to kick his ass.
