I will never finish falling in love with you.
I don't update this account near as often as I used to, and for that I apologize.
September saw the end of Avery's first deployment, October brought him home to Maryland and made him my husband, and November lead to more goodbye tears as I finish nursing school and we wait for housing.
This life is far from ordinary, and racing from coast to coast constantly is tiring. But there is nothing I would not do to see this man smile.
We should be closing the distance as soon as I graduate, which is exactly 6 months from today. After 35 months of long distance, and seeing him only 3-4 times a year, we are SO thankful to be entering this season of life where days together outnumber those spent apart.
On Veterans Day, we say thank you to all the men and women who have served in our nationâs armed forces. Memorials across the country honor our brave veterans and make sure that we never forget their dedication and sacrifice. May we all get to grow up in a red, white, and blue little town.

Iâd wait for you forever, but 259 days was long enough. â¤ď¸
The look on this mans face was priceless when he realized it was me tapping on his shoulder calling out his last name. Thankful I was able to surprise him, even if we did get to only spend one afternoon together before I had to rush back to Maryland.
Welcome home to my favorite Devil Dog đşđ¸â¤ď¸
Four months since we said goodbye, but only a few more until we say âI do.â
It still doesnât feel real that soon my high school sweetheart will be my husband, and weâll be closing the distance a few short months after.
âFind someone who makes you realize three things: one, that home is not a place, but a feeling. Two, that time is not measured by a clock, but by moments. Three, that heartbeats are not heard, but felt and shared.â â¤ď¸
Write her a letter, send her a flower, love only gets old if you let it.

that first kiss with the person youâve been dying to kiss is probably the best feeling in the world
embarrassed to be a part of a generation that smashes windows and disrespects police officers because they didn't get their way
This. This is what it looks like when itâs your first wedding anniversary & your husband is deployed. This is what it looks like when your husband makes every effort to make all of this ânormal.â This is what it looks like when he talks you into a FaceTime date at a restaurant & you start crying as soon as you sit down because it all feels too real that you canât celebrate together. This is what it looks like when he says âmy idea of our first wedding anniversary celebration was to take you on a date & surround you with love.â This is what it looks like when he says âas much as Iâd love to be there, I canât. So there are a handful of people that love you to surround you with love tonight in my place, because no pretty girl deserves to sit alone.â This is what happens when your families, your support systems, your biggest fans show up with flowers & a card & yell surprise. This is what itâs like to ugly cry in Olive Garden & sob for a good 10 minutes. This is what it all looks like. It looks like the good, the bad, the hard to handle, & the silver linings. This is what it looks like when you marry the man that makes all of your dreams come true & fights every day to make the world a brighter place. This.

The United States is not a monarchy, you are not expected to show reverent respect to the POTUS, they are not some inhuman-godlike being. There is not to be an assumption that they have been put there by any sort of divine hand, so stop telling people that they need to respect Donald Trumpâs election. Especially when (a) he did not respect Obamaâs, (b) he won without the popular vote because of an antiquated system that has no place in todayâs United States, Š He. Ran. His. Campaign. With. The. Promise. Of. Removing. The. Rights. Marginalised. Individuals. And. Disrespecting. Their. Humanity.
Radical republican here to chime in that I respected Obama. Didnât like some of his opinions, but he seems like a good man.
As for our new president, I donât like him as a person and I donât like 95% of the things that come out of his mouth, however I think he realizes the importance of having a successful team behind him (if only heâd let someone else act as a filter for his filthy mouth and embarrassing presence on social media).
You donât have to like him, but you do have to understand that if he fails then weâre all going down with him. So why do so many root for him to fail?
Heâs our president. Respect your country enough to not riot and to work towards success.
My best friend and soulmate, and now my fiancĂŠ too đ
I really do think of you at 2pm when Iâm busy running errands. I think of you as soon as I wake up. Because Iâm already wishing for you. I think of you at 8pm when Iâm off at a dinner or a movie with my family. I think of you at 1am when all I can think of is how you smell. Thinking about how I love your laugh, and how I wish with everything I am that we were in the same bed kissing goodnight. âI wish you were here. But youâre not youâre there, and there doesnât know how lucky it is.â
