If somehow you get drugged while drinking, what you think you would be drinking in that moment
"...I do have to ask, are you perhaps planning something? That's a bit of a worrying question to get out of the blue."
🐍// I'm super open to still using this blog if anyone wants to interact btw
"apologies for the disappearance! I've heard there's to be a sleepover?"
“Egaeus, I would like to have a word with you..”
- @horse-head-sterling
"...well! That was a handful of words, wasn't it? What else could there possibly be to discuss?"
“What do you mean there isn’t more to discuss? I want to know how things are going. I would also… like to know if you are still using my dimes. I’m looking at my bills and I’m seeing an awful lot being spent on foolish things.”
{He rubbed his temples in annoyance.}
“Was that you?”
"...I'll have you know I only buy interesting things! Like alcohol, or artifacts that are questionably legal to own!" [Egaeus fumbles through his pockets for something, anything, but most of it still seems to be in his luggage. All he can grasp is a crumpled polaroid from some event he doesn't even remember attending.] "–Sterling, you know I would never waste money! Your wallet is safe with me."
{A heavy, deep sigh escaped from his lips.}
“That’s not the point, Egaeus. The point I’m trying to make here is how much you brought. You say, my wallet is safe with you. But-“
{He grabs his paper of bills and starts running through them. He stops when he notices the information he was looking for.} “You see right here. It states alcohol has been brought over 10 times. Expensive ones, if I may add. Also, some expensive jewelry has been brought as well. Not once, but three times, Egaeus.”
{He sets the papers of bills down on his desk.}
“So, you see… I would believe you, but the bills say otherwise.”
[Egaeus usually likes to believe he can talk his way out of anything– but this interaction had started off on the wrong foot, and he's yet to recover. How are you supposed to react when the man you– uh, certainly didn't kill– is standing in front of you alive and well? This place is strange.]
"Well, would you rather I have stolen it?" [Egaeus grins, hoping it seems more mischievous than anxious as he shoves his shaky hands in his pockets.] "Because that can certainly be arranged. More fun anyway, I'd say."
“No. I’d rather you stop buying useless things. Especially with my dimes. Egaeus, have you ever heard of a job?”
{This may seem strange. But, sterling is having a hell of a good time interrogating Egaeus. Catching him by surprise is fueling him with pleasure. Karma is a bitch they say..}
"a job?!"
[well, Egaeus isn't sure he likes where this is going. The entire reason he'd kept Sterling around was so he and Berenice wouldn't have to work! is there any way to redirect this conversation—? Egaeus clicks his tongue and tries to smile as if he's unbothered.] "I'm sure I've heard of the concept! Can't say I'm suited for it, wouldn't you agree?"
“Egaeus, I would like to have a word with you..”

"Are you offering strawberries? I'll certainly take some; I think I'm allergic, they make my mouth tingle."

finally made my own version of this!! peace and love and friendship edition :3

"Cousin dearest! I've heard there's a carnival in town; I'm sure whatever plans you have can wait, right? Come with me!"
“Uh Egaeus! It’s so good to see you again hon! Hell yeah I’ve heard about it and I’m ready to go!”
[Egaeus can't remember the last time he's been to a carnival; usually he finds himself at parties and other similar events. It feels strange to be out and about with other people who seem indifferent to the way he– and Berenice– are practically dripping with wealth.]
"Hot today," [he hums when they've barely entered the fairgrounds. He can already feel sweat beading at his hairline. From the entrance, he can see rides and vendor stalls; they're probably only selling cheap goods, but perhaps a trinket or two would be fun.]
[Egaeus offers his arm for Berenice to walk at his side.] "So, did you have anything in mind first? Can't say I know what these places offer."
*Berenice linked his arm with hers. A broad grin stretched across her face when she saw the booths of fun activities. The sweet scent of cotton candy or the greasy smell of fried food lingering around them. But, the best show stopper of them all, is the Ferris wheel. She’s only ever heard of people going to these fairs since it wasn’t really her and Egaeus type of thing, but from the feedback and great experiences she’s heard; Berenice thought it would be a good idea to do something different for a change.*
“Oh, relax Egaeus. I can already feel you tensing up. I know we don’t usually do something like this, but it’ll be fun,” She pleaded. “I’ve heard they got fun games, performances to watch, fun rides to go on. The food, apparently, tastes good. So, I’ve heard.”
“Also,” She continued. “They have a Photo Booth. So, we should definitely start there while our outfits look good.”
"Oh, you know how I feel about being in public. With people." [Egaeus makes a face, and smiles when Berenice laughs. As she tugs his arm to steer him through the grounds, the Ferris wheel catches his eye; he's heard of them, but never been on one. That might be interesting later.]
[He snaps back to attention as Bee continues.] "Ah, that's a good point; I'm already feeling sticky," [he winces] "so it'd be best to take photos while we still look good. I doubt we're getting home without looking a mess, in this heat."
*Walking through the crowds of people with linked arms, they finally made it to the Photo Booth. It was a classic red metallic enclosed booth with black curtains for privacy. Berenice peaked through the curtains a little to see if anybody was in there. She felt relieved when no one was in there.*
“Okay, no one is here. Let’s go in.” *She stated, gesturing Egaeus to come in.*
*Excitement was pouring through Berenice’s body when she pulled back the curtains and entered the Photo Booth. She sat on the seat that was provided in the booth and Egaeus followed. In front of them, was a touchscreen with different filters and lightening to choose from.*
“Which one do you want to do, Egaeus?”
[Perhaps this was something Berenice had encountered at that strange new school of hers, but Egaeus– well, the easiest way to describe him at this moment would be 'enraptured.'] "How are you doing that–?" [He mimics Berenice, pressing his fingertips to the screen, eyes going wide as it reacts to his touch. It scrolls and it lights up and it makes sounds– he simply must have one.]
[oh, that's right, she asked a question.] "Let's do as many as we can," [Egaeus swipes his hand across the screen again,] "since there are so many options. I'm partial to the green ones myself–"

Would you rather anon here!
Would you rather be able to speak every language in the world or be able to talk to animals?
"well! at least it's an interesting question! I would much rather speak every language-- very useful for all the vacations I intend to take. on Sterling's dime."
