      ‘What -- the hell.’

      Grabbing a bite to eat was never meant to come at the cost of his car. It wasn’t quite something he’d call beloved yet, but the damn thing was a magnificent piece of decades-old machinery. He’d have been heartless if he hadn’t felt a thing upon seeing the front end of the car being made into some beast’s bed. The flush metal of the hood had been practically made into scrap paper by its weight -- Eren would have been surprised if the engine hadn’t been damaged by this -- and within the crater was tucked something he could only have described as:       ‘You overgrown lizard,’ He groaned, tossing aside his lunch as he hopped on the thing’s back and wrapping his arms around its neck. ‘I swear, I’m gonna -- AAH!’       It started to flail, having been roused from its sleep. Eren struggled to maintain his position on its back, but years of experience with horses proved their worth and he stayed clinched onto its back. A short distance away, Eren spotted what he could only have assumed was this damned lizard’s owner, and with a growl in his voice, he called out to them.       ‘Is this thing yours?! Tell it to calm the hell down!’
