About My Ideologies
What is egalitarianism?
Egalitarianism is the belief that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities. I do not believe that people should be discriminated against for things they cannot control about themselves, such as race, gender, and sexuality.
What is the consistent life ethic?
The consistent life ethic is an ideology that opposes the killing of human beings. This includes opposition to:
- Abortion
- Capital punishment
- Assisted suicide
- Euthanasia
- Unjust war
I personally do not totally oppose euthanasia; if a terminally ill individual wishes to die a less painful death, I believe they should be allowed to. Otherwise, I adhere to the consistent life ethic completely.
