Hi! I'm Shiguto, Makai Priest and former disciple to Priest Akaza. I'd be glad to help you with anything. I may not be the strongest or the toughest but I do what I can and more. {Independent RP blog for Makai Priest Shiguto from the GARO series}

"Leo-san! You got to teach me that technique of yours. You know. That teleporting one!"

"Huh? You’re… Shiguto, right? Rekka’s friend? Why would you want to learn that little trick?"

Leo gave him a small smile. “That’s kind of you to say. I’m sure with enough hard work, you can be.” He got up, accidentally knocking over a pile of papers that he scrambled to catch and then put back on the table. “Ah, sorry. Just a moment!”

"No problem. I have my stumbles here and there too." Shiguto bent over to help Leo. He grabbed a few papers and handed them over. "Oh what’s this?" He was probably more nosy than he should be.

Leo noticed Shiguto go to help him, and took the offered papers with a smile. “Ah, thank you.” He looked at the paper he indicated. “Oh, it’s a design for a new Goryuu that may be able to take on more powerful Horrors.”

"Really? That's amazing! I can't wait to see how it turns out." Shiguto thought maybe he could get his upgraded. He would feel bad just ditching it in favor of another. Despite how it refused to listen sometimes the two had grown close after guarding his jurisdiction while Rekka was away.

"Leo-san! You got to teach me that technique of yours. You know. That teleporting one!"

"Huh? You’re… Shiguto, right? Rekka’s friend? Why would you want to learn that little trick?"

Leo gave him a small smile. “That’s kind of you to say. I’m sure with enough hard work, you can be.” He got up, accidentally knocking over a pile of papers that he scrambled to catch and then put back on the table. “Ah, sorry. Just a moment!”

"Yes, Rekka’s friend." He frowned a bit as this was the reputation he had made for himself. 

"Because it would be extremely useful in battle. As I am sure you know." Shiguto fidgeted.

Leo glanced to the side. “Ah, yes. It has been once…” In the fight against his brother on the Madou Train, he had used it, that was true. “I suppose I could teach you.”

"Ah thanks! It means a lot. I will put it to good use." Shiguto looked up to many of his peers. Leo of course, being one of them. "One day I hope to be on your level of skill. You've already helped me so much just by inventing the Goryu."

In seek of furthering his training Shiguto found himself outside of the Ozu Family household. It was unconventional of a priest to find training outside of their own but Shiguto just wanted to become stronger by any means other than using dark forces. Hesitant to ring the bell he stood outside. “Sure they are magic users but it isn’t the same magic. Can I really learn anything from them?”

"Gonna go get cotton candy everyone! I’ll be back!" Houka rushed out of the house and bumped into the young man in dark clothing. "Woah. I’m sorry." She looked at him and then back at her home. "You are here for someone. You look like you could be a friend of Tsubasa or Makito… I think." She turned and walked back to the door preparing to get her brother.

"Ah! No! I’m not here for anyone in particular." Shiguto reached out to stop her but stopped himself. "I was just looking for someone to train me. See, I am a Makai Priest. And I am trying to become stronger to keep up with my peers." He frowned a bit.

"Then you have found your teacher!" Houka exclaimed knowing Hikaru would be better suited for this. But she felt she was ready to take on a possible student. "I have heard little of the Makai Priest but there is a book in the Magic Room. Anyway, we can get acquainted over some cotton candy." Houka grabbed Shiguto’s arm and whisked him away from the house.

"Really, I mean I heard of others like the Heavenly Saints. I was hoping maybe I could be taught by them." Shiguto said nervously. It wasn't that he was intimidated by Houka. She just gave off an unpredictable vibe and he didn't want to be rude. Before he knew it though, he was being pulled away. "Cotton Candy does sound nice though."

“Ouch.” Shiguto sighed as he landed back into the tree. Though he had no time to lick his wounds. He quickly got to his feet and stood in a defensive stance. Ready to dodge if necessary. But he wanted to take the hit the best way he could and deflect it. He tried to do that and failed. His gut was hit and he was pinned against the tree. “Nice.” Even though he wasn’t doing well he admired seeing the knight’s work.

Tsubasa removed his staff from Shiguto’s gut and jumped back a bit. He saw that Shiguto was trying to block his staff but had a hard time doing it. “While in battle you always have to keep on your guard. No matter if you are a Knight or a Priest”

"Yes." He shouted out signifying that he understood. Most priest and knights have trained their whole lives but Shiguto was different. This was a path he had chosen. It wasn't his fate or destiny or any type of lineage that connected him to the world of Horrors. It was simply his kindness in wanting to help others in the best way he can. So he was a late bloomer but he wouldn't let that stop him from mastering his craft.

“Well I have used it a couple times in battle already but I mainly use my own brush. I want to be able to learn how to use this one as well because I am sure it holds Akaza’s spirit, strength, and guidance.” He gripped the brush tighter. “I just thought if I get used to it’s weight I would be more effective in using it. I guess there is more to it than that.”

Tsubasa saw that Shiguto was tightly holding a brush. “Well the first thing you have to do is learn to actually stay balanced while using the brush. That will be important afterwords. The power flowing from you too the brush will come after words.”

“Okay.” Shiguto let out a breath as he concentrated. He stood with his energy flowing through him and channeling itself through his brush. The hairs beginning to glow he raised it and began simple strokes. Swaying the tip back and forth, he practiced his rotations. “Ah! It feels better. I can feel it like an extension of myself.”

Tsubasa nodded his head as he saw the progress Shiguto is doing. “That is how it is supposed to feel. Now that you feel good with that. Let’s try fighting with the brush. no spells just yet.” Tsubasa grabs his staff and points it at Shiguto.

“Wait, wait, wait!” Shiguto said nervously but he calmed himself once more and raised his brush at Tsubasa before charging in. He brought it into the air and he jumped coming down on the knight.

Tsubasa raised his staff to block Shiguto and his giant brush with ease. He turned the staff so it sends Shiguto flying to a near by tree. not feeling like bringing out the blade on his staff just yet. So Tsubasa ran towards Shiguto intending to hit him in the gut.

Rekka was walking into the shop that her late master had set up. She wondered if Shiguto was here. She needed to see how he was doing while she was training under Jabi again. Feeling a presence behind her she grabbed her brush and pointed it at the person behind her. “Who’s there? Come out before I make you.”

“It’s just me!” Shiguto walked up. “Everything okay? You seem a little jumpy.” A worried smile appeared on his face. “No one’s getting in here unless they are authorized. I have the place charmed. I had to sense I am the only one here most of the time. By the way, how is it going with Jabi?”

“Ah Shiguto.” Rekka lowered her brush as she saw her fellow priest. “I see you have been prepared in case of an attack. Good to know.” Rekka turned her to look around the store. “My training is fine. I was just coming to see the shop and see if it hasn’t been destroyed.”

“Ahh, have a little more faith in me. I am doing my best.” He frowned playfully knowing she meant no harm. “It is nice to see you again though. I can tell you have gotten much stronger. One day I’ll catch up.”

“I know you will get stronger, but for now just make sure nothing happens to this place.” Rekka turned to Shiguto. “I hope you are trying to control the robot.”

"Goryu? Yeah he's been fairly compliant lately. Makes me wonder if he's planning something." Shiguto laughed as he joked. "Seriously though, I have been training with him and we are a good team." He walked over and patted the case the madou machine was locked into.

“I know. Jabi is high on my list and I plan on asking to study under her much like Rekka. As for Leo-san I do intend on studying under him as well. I just want to learn as much as I can. I feel quite inadequate compared to you all and I need to work harder.” His head was still lowered as he spoke. “Thank you.” Shiguto said as he raised his head. “It means a lot, really.”

Tsubasa just sighed as he went to go pick up his staff. “I hope you are prepared for hard work cause all four of us will be putting you through hell. At least I know I will.” Tsubasa turned and went to go find Hyuuga and Akatsuki so they can go guard the front gate again.

“I am prepared for that.” Shiguto put on a brave face and walked forward following behind Tsubasa. “I hope to even learn combat skills from this.”

“You will learn combat skills from me mostly. I know only the basics when it comes to Priest skills.” Tsubasa flicked his earring and sent a message to the two telling them to get back to their post. Tsubasa stopped in a clearing and put his staff in the ground. “Now tell me what you can do. I want to see how far you are as a priest, combat skill wise.

Deciding to save his best for last Shiguto picked up the large brush he attained from Akaza. “I am still new with this but now is as good a time as any to put it to the test.” He waved the large brush in a circular motion creating a circular flow of energy. As he stopped he pressed the brush forward and the ring was sent flying. It was unsteady but it reached it’s target of a nearby boulder. Leaving scorch marks behind he sighed. “I wanted it to explode.” He rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. Shaking it off he tried once more. “No time for feeling down.” This time the flow followed a straighter path and the boulder did what he wanted it to.

Tsubasa watched as Shiguto tried to explode the boulder. He saw that Shiguto was somewhat off balance when it came to having the bigger brush. Tsubasa saw the down expression for the little time it was on and how Shiguto was stubborn when he wanted things to get done. Once the boulder exploded the second time Tsubasa turned to Shiguto. “i see you are having a hard time using the bigger brush. How long have you had that brush and how long have you been actually using the brush?”
