This is a modern au version of them the normal version is below

Basically it hits similar beats as the normal au where Yue finds Starx somewhere and lets him live with him blah blah blah.

In the modern au Yue looks noticeably older than how he normally does because i think thats how hed look like if he was a person.

Starx ran away from his home 5 years ago and has been going wherever, just getting by and surviving. Hes ran out of luck finding odd jobs and is just sitting on the side of the street until Jin Yue sees him while going to the store and they start talking. Yue thinks hes a good guy and tries to give him money because he thinks hes homeless (which he is) but Starx didn’t wanna accept handouts from pity so Yue agrees to compensate him if he carries his groceries back to his apartment with him because Yue has mobility issues (fucked up leg). I dont draw his cane because i keep forgetting but its integral in my mind palace.

Blah blah Starx developed feelings first and then after a bit they started dating. Yue was initially hesitant because hes a bit older but its ok they worked it out.
