I watched some videos by that guy who set up a fake ICE hotline to get people to snitch on members of their community. Not only is this very real and useful praxis- he's preventing these ghouls from reaching the real ICE- he also handles the calls in a really amazing way.
For the most part, he doesn't make accusations or insults people, he just repeats back the appalling shit they're telling him. And they get fucking furious. The example that went viral was him fielding a call from a kindergarten teacher who wanted to report one of her student's parents.
This absolutely disgusting piece of shit thought that the parents were "illegals" who were "taking up resources" because they weren't born in the US. The child was a US citizen because he was born here, but she wanted the "ICE" agent to "look into it."
So this dude just starts repeating stuff back like "so you want me to load the parents of the 5-year-old child you teach into a van and deport them, right?" and this bitch has the gall to say "you make it sound terrible 😅" in a self-conscious way. And then when he finally makes a more direct insult by nonchalantly saying that the 5-year-old "must be a major threat to national security," she demands to speak to his supervisor (which he agrees to and then makes no effort to change his voice for lmao).
This is far from the only call where the whole "repeat their rhetoric back to them" tactic pisses the caller off, too. As rotten, immoral, and disgusting as these ghouls are, I believe there's a tiny part of them that is aware of how fucked up their beliefs and behavior are. Being forced to confront that leads to painful cognitive dissonance and they'd rather lash out at the person who criticized them than look inward and do some self-reflection. Forcing people to confront their own cognitive dissonance of "I'm a good person" clashing with "I have objectively gross and harmful beliefs" is useful, even if it will never go anywhere.

Seconding this. Used that list and cross-referenced it with my insurance, found a doctor who did an amazing job taking out the whole kit and kaboodle with minimal pain and minimal scarring.
I've had a (partial, technically) hysterectomy since 2022. it was the best decision I've ever made and I will stand 10 toes down on that. nothing has had a more meaningful impact on my quality of life than that singular surgery. getting that thing out of my body single-handedly added years to my lifespan via sheer stress reduction alone.

I did so much research prior to getting it done (...I wanted to make an informed decision), but a lot of people aren't even aware that different options exist. or they're only aware of some of the aspects, but not others.
for instance, did you know that you can negotiate where you want your incisions to be?
I specifically didn't want a scar along the "bikini line" because it reminded me too much of a c-section scar and that would be dysphoric for me, so my surgeon and I had a conversation and we decided to just extend the belly button incision a bit instead (because they still have to pull your uterus out of the body somehow and I was keeping my cervix, so we couldn't go out through the vagina like you'd usually do).
there's a massive amount of anti-hysterectomy disinformation on the internet, spread by various anti-abortion pro-forced-birther groups specifically to scare people out of getting sterilized in any way (they're typically the same groups spreading a lot of the anti-IUD disinformation as well). if you ever see something talking about how your spine will slowly collapse into your body or whatever..... that's where that comes from lol. same about anyone fearmongering about pelvic organ prolapse.*
*your biggest risk factor for pelvic organ prolapse (which, by the way, is not the worst thing that can happen to somebody. yeah you don't want it to happen, but things like old age and lifting heavy weights can cause it. we've got techniques for attaching your organs back into your body. you'll be fine. it really isn't the end of the world, I promise you) is giving birth. most people who get hystos are pericis women who have already had children. most studies that have looked at this have stated this skew in the data, since it's hard to tell what confounding variables are impacting the results. as far as we can currently tell, if you have not had any kids, you probably aren't putting yourself at a massively greater risk of prolapse, if any at all.**
**there are some theories that the reason we see higher rates of prolapse post-hysto in parous individuals could be due to structural changes in those pelvic muscles and tissues after birth, making them less resilient to further changes (like removing an organ), whereas somebody who is nulliparous with full structural support intact may be able to handle a hysto without much of an issue. like a jenga tower. imagine the tower has already had a bunch of blocks taken out of the bottom of it, and now you're taking another block out. it's more likely to fall, compared to if you were taking a block out of a tower that was fully intact with no blocks removed yet.
(also I'm not trying to body shame with any of the above notes about structural integrity. it's just a medical fact that giving birth does damage to your body, especially your pelvic floor. human beings (and any other creature tbh) were evolutionarily pressured for offspring and parents to survive childbirth. whether or not we had permanent non-lethal health problems was just not part of the darwinian equation, there. you can survive with a fucked up pelvic floor. as long as it doesn't kill you and your offspring can survive to reproduce (& especially if you survive to have even more kids), that's 99% of what evolution really selects for. the human spine is a structural mess that's prone to issues. those issues make you miserable, but rarely kill you or prevent you from reproducing. so it just... doesn't get selected out of the population. there's a lot of shaming around the bodies of people who give birth and I just want you to know that being disabled is not a moral flaw. having a body that has been ravaged by a baby is not a moral flaw. having a pelvic floor that has been torn to shreds from a 3rd degree tear is not a moral flaw. but it's still a factual reality that having kids f u c k s up your body, health-wise, in many ways. also fuck anyone who turns it into an aesthetics or beauty thing. I'm aware there's that whole aspect of social pressures, and that that's why people get so touchy about admitting that having kids fucked up their body, because they associate "fucking up your body" as being an appearance thing. and like. no. i mean that in a health way. you pushed a baby out of a very small space and tore through your own muscles. that causes permanent damage! that is a type of fucking up of your body! it doesn't have to be visual! aaaaaaa)

Ground bone, lead and charred plants/seeds were used in ground coffee
if you bought spices, you could end up buy a container of brick dust or ash labelled as cinnamon or pepper
it was estimated 8000 infants died in new york state in one year from drinking bad milk
when congress didn't want to do anything bc they were getting paid by the food manufacturers to ignore it (Big Food if you will), Harvey Washington Wiley started do experiments on his colleagues. they volunteered to be fed by the USDA kitchen. some of their meals had the additives commonly found in food
these experiments were getting reported in papers and combined the upton sinclair's book the jungle about conditions in meat-packing plants helped to alert the wider public to what was going on
women had also organized as part of the temperance movement and were extremely influential in helping to get these regulations passed
so unethical experiments broadcasted to the masses, organizing and books are what ultimately ended up turning the tide
This is all very true and very important, with one caveat.
Water is used in concrete. Something being an ingredient in something toxic doesn't make the ingredient toxic. Gypsum (sodium sulfate) is still approved as a food additive. It's one of several coagulants that can be used to make tofu, it's used in baking as a dough conditioner and source of dietary calcium, it's used in brewing to bring out the flavor of the hops, and it's used in dentistry as plaster to make impressions of teeth. Safe to say it's safe to eat.
It is worth checking, though, because borax and formaldehyde are both toxic as fuck. All soap is toxic and borax is no exception (the EU regulates it as a chemical that can cause reproductive harm), and formaldehyde is used to kill insects for preservation. (It's used for preservation because the bacteria and fungi that cause things to decompose also can't survive in it.)
And, of course, as we all know, there is no amount of lead that is safe to ingest. It affects almost every organ in the human body, and the pictures of brains that have been affected by lead poisoning aren't pretty. Disturbingly, lead (II) acetate was sometimes used in the Middle Ages as a sugar substitute despite its toxicity being known.
