I hope you understand how ridiculous these back stories are.
Behold, the sea princess.
You are a young troll which have not been named yet. You might not even live long enough to be named, so why bother?
You are a troll of the highest blood. Few of you survive past the trails. Even fewer made it childhood. The only lusus that will choose one of your blood color lives far deep in the sea where your instinct will guide you to.
You made it to the water and was culled almost immediately. The Empress is here and she will not have a challenger.
Barely any of you lived past this point. A young troll cannot survive on their own without a lusus. But to go back into the water means death. You do NOT want to die.
Fate seems to be terribly kind today, as an adult troll finds and help you. It is very unusual for an adult troll to care for a young one, especially from a different caste, especially one of you.
But she is indeed an odd troll. She cares for many other young trolls, all from different caste and different kind, even a mutant with blood outside of the hemospectrum.
A few sweeps later, she came home with a grub of your blood and asked you to care for her. You had a sudden urge to kill her as it was your insticnt to eliminate threat to your throne when you can. “Mother” would have none of that, so you couldn’t kill the little grub even if you want to. In the end you grew used to her, although you despise her clingy nature more than anything.
But then the empress found you again. Or found the little one, you weren’t sure. Her royal soldier broke in to your collective hive, the other trolls were out. Mother died as she protected you and the little one. You ran away. Never heard of the other kids but you can’t really careless about them.
Afterward you meet a pirate, the Ophaner, as he calls himself, who knows Mother. He offers you a hiding place. A boy in his crew seems to like the little one. You think he’s lame, but not that you care that much about the little one’s quadrant.
The war stated, the Ophaner turns on you. He planned to give you to the Empress. You had to protect yourself (and consequently protect the little one as well). The boy hold him back as you and the little one make a run for it.
Again, you have fled, leaving someone else behind. Now it’s only you and the little one. God knows how long will it take for you to leave her behind and save yourself. But it isn’t that simple. The empress wants BOTH of you. You couldn’t careless about being a queen, but you still want to live. The little one is starting to hear the whispers from that undersea monster. The empress will be on your tail soon.
You have had enough of it. You won’t live another day of this bullshit called your life. You are a queen by birth right, not a fugitive, even if you don’t want the throne, you certainly want to LIVE. It is a WAR between you and the Empress.
You now stand before the king of the land dwellers’ kingdom. Your last and only chance of winning your right to live.
Your name is MEENAH PEIXES and you WILL LIVE.
I think I just made Meenah the new main character……
