For someone as expressionless as his fellow elezen was, she was amusingly easy to read.

"...Ah, Miss Vieaux! Good morning."

The way the sharp lines of her shoulders flinched and tensed as her hands froze, midway strapping a satchel onto her belt. And, like a living statue, the silence lingered in the air just a moment too long.

Considering her escape, no doubt.

Alas, that moment had passed, and Everaux could hear the barely-there puff of air- a weary sigh of resignation.

"It's you again. Don't you have anywhere else to be at?"

Her voice was steeped in vitriol, but over the days it had mellowed - if ever so slightly. But even a change to a cold shoulder from a freezing one was enough for the man to beam in delight.

"I definitely do, thus I was just heading out myself. Which seems to be something you are planning to do yourself, is it not?"

The single eye narrowed into his direction, a glare if he had ever seen one. They both knew what he was aiming for, and they both knew what the answer would be.

Still, he couldn't help but poke at the hornet's nest, even smiling politely while doing so.

"Ah, since we are both going the same way, mayhaps I could come with--"

"No."

Yes, hers was a not-freezing, but still a very cold shoulder.
