Chapter 11 was so good omg… I’m glad that Aubrey and Sunny got reunited, even if it was only briefly before the chaos started up again. It was sweet seeing Sunny finally start to accept some care both from Aubrey and from Basil, and it’s relieving that he wants to try to live again. Him and Basil going through the horrors together because of Omori… I can’t wait to see it, surely things can’t get any worse (lying to myself). And Arum… it’s fascinating to see him physically spreading over Basil’s body more and how much control he now has over him. That possession scene was terrifying! Even if it ended in Basil “healing”, it’s not good that Arum can seemingly do that at will now… Still I’m very excited to see where things go with him! Everyone will see Basil’s truth eventually I’m sure. On a lighter note, the confessions!! Sure they technically weren’t proper confessions, with Basil not following through on his and Sunny saying his to an unconscious Basil.. but this is progress! I hope they get to talk properly soon, and more than that I hope they get to have a happy ending. They really deserve it after everything they’ve been through.

if you don't mind me asking, do you have a rough Idea on when chapter 11 comes out? Like, based on how far you are. It doesn't have to be a date, like maybe just the month? I don't want to seem obsessive or overbearing or annoying...

Don’t worry friend, you’re not being annoying or anything. I feel like now’s a good time to answer this generally. Originally i wanted it to come out end of late March/ very early April, but these last almost 2 weeks were …. Very bad, full transparency. I’m safe now, and things have stabilized, that’s all I’ll say. All that happening like nuked my motivation and it’s only now resetting again. :’) It’s still set to come out sometime April at least, this chapter just has a ton of art to be drawn. Editing-wise, I’ve edited half (Im kinda multitasking) and it looks good so far! Im sorry i don’t have an exact date, i try not to give solid date deadlines because I don’t wanna disappoint people so i just tend to say general months, so instead i just give casual updates along the way.

Whenever Im sad and I don't know what I need (omg is that a sweet hibiscus tea reference) I just low-key draw an otwf scene(forgive me for my mediocre art and laziness on the background) because

1:your art makes me happy

2: drawing online in a simple art app(I used kleki cuz I love the lasso tool so much) makes me happy

3: otwf/omori in general makes me happy

Question because this is supposed to be a question submission: how long is ur process of making a drawing? Like do u just like lock in randomly and finish the drawing in a couple of hours or do you work on different parts on different days or parts of the day?

RU ok with me incorporating ur hair rendering style for my art style and overall just like learning from ur art? Bcuz I'm still in the process of finding my digital art style

thank you! im glad you like otwf so much.💚 most of my big art pieces takes roughly 1-3 hours. i tend to try to finish drawings within that same day. sometimes i split it into 2-3 days. it really depends on what im drawing!

My story is kind of all over the place at the moment, but I’m getting somewhere and i should be able to properly explain it all soon! I like to write my stuff on Notion to keep my stuff organized.

The story centers around Ezra. Both born with the same arm markings, but Dominic hid his as a kid. Dominic knew exactly what he was at an early age, but Ezra didn’t really know that he holds so much power until he was an adult. He’s even more shocked when he finds out how truly connected he is to Dominic. (Like Dominic having a piece of Ezra’s soul.) Ezra and Dominic have known each other since childhood, but Dominic disappeared between the ages of 7-19. Ezra put up missing posters for years. Dominic eventually reappears in Ezra’s life as an adult and he’s basically a new person, and he tends to dye his hair silver (His natural hair is jet black). He leaves a little bit of his natural hair color out though. The story mainly centers around the two of them, but the main characters are Ezra, Dominic, Margo, Nia, Oriel and Luka. The only humans are technically Margo and Nia. I’ll post more updates on the others eventually! And a full timeline/storyline.

I was asking my friends what they thought about going as far as Basil is to stop something that sunny WANTED and it was interesting how they were split on the morality of the action.

Does Basil think he's doing a good thing, dragging Sunny out of the hell he wanted to be in, or does he think he's just selfishly bringing Sunny back because he wants him?

I have a feeling it's the latter, and this was alluded to in some old post, but whatever Idk im not rlly good at explaining stuff sorry ╥﹏╥

chapter 11 actually dives into this a lot :] a big theme of OTWF is “can you save someone who doesn’t desire to be saved?”

how basil feels is a little complicated. he wants to help sunny so much, but he’s not sure if he’s truly doing a good job. right now sunny’s being quite dismissive to basil. basil knows all he can really do is be as supportive as he can. stranger actually brings this up this upcoming chapter! basil’s not really doing it because he thinks its the morally correct thing to do, but rather because he and everyone thinks sunny deserves a chance and he wants sunny to know that he deserves one.

also update: i’ve edited 9 mins so far, i know it’s not much but im happy lol. i still got a lot of art to do (that im pretty excited to draw)
