I wish my friends had softer childhoods.

I wish they didn't have to go through the things they did, I wish their past was filled with happier times. I wish they weren't around the people they were with back then. Some that they still are with. I wish they were loved more, kept safer, told their worth more. Reassured more so that that doubt never had a chance to sink in. I wish they had more memories about warm sweet drinks and cozy nights and laughs and hugs than the ones they were given. I wish the world was more thoughtful, considerate.

It happened, and it breaks my heart to know. I sometimes wonder how different of a person they would be if it never did. I hope I can make it up, somehow, even by a tiny bit. I hope I can be something that can make the day somewhere a little gentler. I hope even if the past still lingers around here to bite you again and again on bad nights, that you would let me remind you once more every time. I hope you know I love you, I hope you know I love you.

whats up with the asks thing you posted? are those new lighthouse bloom characters? who are those guys?

Ah, those are not related to Lighthouse Bloom- Those are characters from Haunted Scrapyard! A different original project I'm working on :]

Haunted Scrapyard is a collaboration between me and some of my best friends. About robots, connections and learning about life from death.

I prefer properly explaining and revealing things when they're all thought out, but Haunted Scrapyard is very much a heavy work in progress, which is why I haven't talked much about it. If you're curious about it though, you can either go through the Haunted Scrapyard tag, or look around here: @haunted-scrapyard :D

The asks I answered recently feature the 3 characters I'm in charge of writing:

Arto Fiore (Protagonist): An old man who outlived everyone he once knew. Trying to live a "normal" life the best he can, but unfortunately the entirety of the main plot happens.

"Circuit" (Antagonist/Villain): The ringmaster of a circus of lost souls along with her sister. She has her family, and her dream came true- she's happy. Nothing could go wrong.

Ani_(Side character): "The observer." Has eyes everywhere, and will tell you anything you want in exchange for information of your own. May or may not be some kind of god.

Perhaps I'll properly introduce them at some point, but not today! They do have artfight pages though(linked above) if you're interested in reading through :D

Q: What would happen if Arto and River had to swap places?

A: Arto was someone brought back to life in a way he shouldn't have. Someone who never asked for this new body and immortality; so he never spoke much about the change. Just went on about his life like nothing happened. River, however, was a broke college student. They need the money. If the same happened to them, Interviews, experiments, broadcasts... They would agree to everything. ...And in the process getting the attention of every business that wants its hands on this new "miracle" lab rat. Whoops.

If Arto was the one that got stuck with Radixius, he would be petrified, but would soon fight against the divine spirit's violent wishes, stepping in forcefully when they try to harm mortals. (Until now he does similarly to what River did) Radixius, then of course, would respond with fury- But contrary to River, Arto would instead submit to Radixius' will, agreeing to obey it as long as it didn't hurt anyone. He would also not harbor any thought of revenge against it. Arto-Ani would act much more like a "traditional" forest guardian- quiet, staying out of sight, far away from civilization.

Have you thought about Lighthouse Bloom as a game, like what mechanics would it have or how it would be played?

Or what would the soundtrack be like?

How would you sell it as a game to someone?

:D!!! WAHOO LIGHTHOUSE BLOOM QUESTION thank you!!

Ooh... admittedly, as much as I love games, I usually prefer watching than playing; so the gameplay aspects are ones I haven't thought out as much. So far I've been thinking of it with a 2D metroidvania type angle that switches to different gameplay styles in certain sections.

As for fighting mechanics... they'll be elaborated on more later, when we get to non-tutorial enemies! And HEHE I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED ABOUT THE SOUNDTRACK!! I'm currently working on compiling songs that hopefully capture the "vibes" of what a lighthouse bloom soundtrack would feel like :D when I fully finish a chapter, I want to make a full chapter playlist including potential track names and everything!

As for selling it... I haven't really thought about it before(Since, y'know. Not an actual game) but I'd love to make something like a drawn trailer :] Thank you for asking!!
