Hi! A little over a year ago, I messaged the lovely @sychik if she would be open to making a robe volante mesh. She agreed, and the mesh was completed last year in September. Only now have I gotten around to recoloring it. This would NOT be possible without her; she made the mesh. All thanks to her.
A Robe Volante was a gown that was invented and popularized by the French in the early 18th Century (mainly 1720s and 1730s) as a means of comfort to oppose the previous mantuas that Louis XIV enforced on the ladies of his court. These previous gowns had very tight corsets, were extravagant, and were ultimately not comfortable to wear. The Robe Volante had loose corsets and was very flowy and lightweight for the standards of the time. It was also eroticized, as it allowed the men to see the lady's ankles when they walked. It began to fall out of fashion in the early 1740s, as it evolved into the robe à la française.
This Robe Volante for your Rococo sims has 100 swatches! 99 have 18th-century patterns, and 1 is completely black for mourning. It is also only 6k poly!

sharing a sneak peek at what I'm working on like the terrible person I am - because I'll probably only publish it in about half a month. I very much doubt EA will have fixed their mess before I leave and lose access to my laptop for a while
So please, FUCKING STOP WITH VALENTINES SLOP! 15th February is Singles Awarness Day and most importantly, International Pride Day for Ace-Aro people. AND POSTING VALENTINE DAY BULLSHIT ON THIS DAY IS FUCKING CRINGE AND NOT COOL!!! THIS IS OUR DAY! YOU WILL NOT FUCKING ENCROACH ON THE SANCTITY OF OUR DAY!!!
I mean, what the fuck is this shit? Seriously guys, shilling to a fucking AI company? How low can you go? Nothing is below your standards, you would sell your own mother for some shiny shekels. A common whore has more dignity, decorum and self respect than you. Shame on you. Shame.
over a quarter of those polled says they'd rather die horribly of hypothermia than get a little sweaty and i really really try not to go here but yeah i dont have trouble believing this is the celibacy website. extremities rotting and falling off like "yeah but i can always put another layer on"
I live somewhere where the winters go anywhere from 0F(-17.8C) to 60F(15.6C) and summer generally just hovers around 100F(37.8C) and like it is wild to me the number of people who choose -30. I cannot function when it is below 40F(10C) but regularly spend time outside during the summer months
At least in the summer there's no such annoyance as being forced to trudge through a knee high layer of snow. Or being blinded in a blizzard. Or trying to not break your fucking neck on the slippery, icy pavement. Plus, in summer you can eat ice cream, and that's a deffiniate win for me. Just drink plenty of water, cover your head from the sun, and you'll be fine!
I’m going through a really difficult phase right now. I’ve managed to clear my rent, but I’m staying with my parents and trying not to burden them further. Even basic expenses feel overwhelming. I have an entry-level job interview next Monday and I’m holding onto hope, but I’ll keep applying or start content creation around my gym journey if needed. My January gym fees are due, and from next month I’ll also be changing gyms. I urgently need support to get through this month. Any amount of help or even sharing this would mean the world to me. Thank you from my heart. 💛

Update: It’s been a while and things haven’t improved much. I’ve only received $70 so far and we’re still far from the goal. I had a job interview that seemed to go well, but I wasn’t selected. Hearing “good luck for your future” hurt more than I expected, because right now I don’t even know what my future looks like. My parents keep comparing me to others who are already settled, and it’s exhausting. I’m at my lowest point and my anxiety feels unbearable. If you are seeing this and able to help in any way, please consider subscribing to my Ko-fi monthly or donating any amount via PayPal. Even the smallest support or a reblog would mean a lot. I’m practically begging for help right now.

Lord Adrien Jean Baptiste Bellaforte, Marquis D'Orlais. Portrayed here with his wife, Marie-Louise Annabelle Bellaforte (nee Aston), Marquise D'Orlais.
Traits: Proper, Snob, Ambitious.
Aspiration: Best Selling Author
Born on May 25, 1685, Died on September 5th, 1760.
Lord Protector of the Holy Empire, Decorated veteran of War of Spanish Succession, Daring Military Commander in the rank of Major General of Cavalry, A shrewd politician and diplomat, a bonvivant, dandy and trendsetter, a prolific author, and lover of powerful women. Born in Italy, spent first half of his life in and around Austria, and his second half in southern France as an imperial envoy (and sometimes spy). Knows Italian, German, French, Spanish and Latin. Corresponded with young Voltaire, Frederic II of Prussia, and Casanova.
Born as Hadriano Gian-Battista Bellaforte (he later stuck to French version of his name) to impoverished Sabaudian gentry, his father, Colonel Hector Casimir Bellaforte was a veteran of 9 years War with France, where he lost his leg. He instilled strict, military-like discipline towards his two sons and daughter. Adrien was the eldest, and when he was 10 he was enrolled by his father to the best military academy Bellaforte family could afford. 10 years later, Cadet Bellaforte joins the Imperial Army as a young officer, and quickly climbs the ranks.
After the War for Spanish Succession, where his gallant charge of his Dragoon Regiment earned him the title of Marquis D'Orlais, he finally retired from military career, and turned to politics. He quickly advanced, becoming the minister of war, and later, Lord Protector, an honorary title, that also made him commander in chief of the Imperial army. Some gossips claim he only managed so, because he was romancing the Empress during his tenure at the imperial court. This of course, was a nonsensical rumor, that didn't account into Marquis Adrien's natural talents: Keen intelect, courage, loyalty and a go-getter attitude, that made him Her Imperial Majesty's most reliable servant. In 1731 the Empress died, and the new Emperor was not as appreciative of Marquis Adrien's service. Thus, while Marquis Adrien lost imperial favour and his position at the Imperial Court, the Emperor was still gracious enough to let him keep his titles (except the title of Lord Protector) and orders, and sent him on a life-long diplomatic mission (as Marquis stated "a very polite way to call an act of exile") to France.
In 1717, he met a young English noblewoman, Marie Louise Aston. She was sent to the imperial court as a lady in waiting for Her Imperial Majesty, as an act of good will from King George I. Marquis Adrien was head over heels over Lady Aston, for her beauty, grace and quick wit, and proposed to her. The new Marquise D'Orlais would later give birth to two children: Future famous painter Jean Francois Bellaforte (born in 1720), and Annabelle Francine Bellaforte (1726), called affectionately as Nannette, a future brilliant polymath and first woman to be admitted to the Academie Francais. Once he settled himself with his family in his grand estate near Marseille, Marquis Adrien would semi-retire from politics, and spend the rest of his days on writing treatises, novels and poetry. The painting above shows the Marquis and Marquise at their wedding day, July 20, 1718.

Hi everyone, I’m honestly going through a really tough time right now, and it’s been hard to even admit it. I had to borrow money from a friend just to cover my rent, and I’m struggling to pay it back. I’m staying with my parents, but I never want to burden them more than I already have. Even basic things like groceries and bills feel overwhelming lately.
With Christmas and New Year coming up, I urgently need funds to get through this season.
If you can help — even a small amount or just sharing this — it would truly mean the world to me.
Thank you, from my heart. 💛
