FLOWERS EVERYWHERE 🌺 🌻 🌹 🌷 🌼 🌸 💐
Next destination is Tonami Tulip Fair in Toyama Prefecture. Tonami Tulip Fair is the most breath taking display of Tulips in Japan. With over two million tulip plants arranged in many different shapes, the fair is dubbed as the largest of its kind in Japan. This event is for everyone to enjoy providing many different performances including a fashion show, mini shinkansen ride and lots more. Tonami Tulip Fair is similar to Keukenhof Garden in Holand !
Lovely garden - a nice place to visit on a hot day. Seems miles away from the city. Bring your walking shoes and sunscreen, though. すごい !!
11:30 AM Kenrokuen garden ( 兼六園 )
The lost kids are come back! Me and Frandy totally lost contact with the others (Tiara and Kenny). Sigh where are they.. The only one wifi which available is my device. Lol! So they cannot contact me as long as they didn’t found me :P
The gardens are just beautiful and so well maintained. For people with walking issues please be aware it is a little hilly at the start of the gardens but once you are "up" and in the grounds it is easy to get around and quite flat. We spent a few hours just wandering around taking in everything from the oldest fountain in Japan, to waterfalls, statues, bridges, ponds...the list goes on. We were lucky enough to be there when the cherry blossom and mapple were still in bloom and it was truly beautiful.
Those boys.. sometimes blocked my way ( ・᷄ㅂ・᷅ ) But they’re really helpful, literally~
11:22 AM 71.6 °F sunny and clear weather ヾ(´▽`;)ゝ
We arrived at Kanazawa castle park & Kenrokuen garden (Ishikawa prefecture) Kanazawa Castle Park is a large park in the center of Kanazawa and is accessible from many different sides. The most popular approach is through the Ishikawa-mon Gate, which is located only a few meters from the main entrance of Kenrokuen. Kanazawa such a great castle! lovely restored in detailed. The huge main donjon, gates, defense turrets and warehouse. The wall structures and moat are presented in full strength and beauty. Unfortunately, the castle turrets are absolutely empty, there are no any exposition inside.
06:00 AM Wakey! Wakey! おはよう~~ We should hurry up because our next destination is pretty far from Ishikawa. Because today we will going to Shirakawa-go. YEAY!
07:00 AM let us take a breakfast first. Umm.. our breakfast menus today looks so delicious *drool*. There’re warm rice, soft boiled egg, miso soup, salad, shabu-shabu, umeboshi, self served dried fish. Happy tummy :)
08:30 AM Before we leave this hotel, I looking around souvenir shop at the 1st floor. Mostly souvenirs has an Onsen edition, such as Attack on Titan, Pikachu, Kumamon, and else. Kawaii desu ne! I bought Kendama and some cookies then 30 minutes later, we should leave this hotel for sure. I feel so saaaad :( there’s too much beautiful memories that I had from one night I spent. I will never forget this beautiful hotel for whole my life. I won’t..
21:00 PM Tonight, I sleep in Ryokan ! My dream is came true! Thanks God, I can’t thank enough ♥ ♥ ♥
Note: I didn’t take a pic while Onsen-ing (Ofcourse). So I got it from: japantraveleronline.com
7:30 PM we’re ready to go to Onsen at 2nd floor. Something that I know is, Onsen-ing ‘force’ you to take off ALL your clothes, then take a shower before getting in. At the first me and eonni felt so timid and embarrassed, but then we’re try to adapt with else (the ahjummas are already getting in).
Onsen-ing actually was very relaxing, and makes my whole body feel comfortable. So I recommend you to try Onsen if you visit Japan!
Some Tips to enjoying Onsen :
First and foremost, bathers must disrobe completely. Generally speaking, wrapping a large towel around the body or wearing a swimsuit to bathe is not allowed.
Everyone shares the bathwater, and to keep it clean, it’s important to wash and rinse yourself thoroughly before getting into the bath
Jumping in, swimming, or talking in a loud voice are frowned upon and should be avoided so as not to cause trouble for the others.
30-minute bath supposedly consumes the same amount of energy as running 1,000 meters at full speed, and bathers are advised to rest sufficiently and replenish fluids after bathing.
But most of all, be open to social interaction with other bathers. Don’t just keep to yourself or your small group: the best benefit of onsen bathing is the chance to chat with local people who are there to relax and enjoy themselves too..
6:30 PM We had a dinner using yukata! Yeay! Wait.. But the dishes are extremely complicated! I mean, there’s too many side dishes served, moreover I can’t mention all names (°◇°;) some dishes that I know is... Rice, miso soup, tempura, sukiyaki, silk tofu, crab legs, chawanmushi, and ginger konyaku as dessert.
Before dinner started, the hotel staffs treat us some Japanese traditional dance performance which known as Kabuki dance (Idk for sure). We enjoyed the show until finish then we start to eat our *GRAND* dinner. Lol !
Honestly, I didn’t finished my dinner because the portion was too much so I easily getting full whereas all foods were super tasty T-T. Miss Nancy told us if this hotel has an Onsen (Hot spring) and we can try it around 5am-2pm. At the first I was hesitate to try but Tiara Eonni successfully incited me. Lol
JJANG! Our hotel tonight ~ Kanoya Kerokuen Japanese style hotel (Ishikawa perfecture)
12:30 PM After take a lunch, finally we arrived in the famous snow corridor of Tateyama Kurobe Alps routes. Seriously, this is the most stunning landscape I’ve ever seen in my life! Even I really didn’t care about brain freezing which suddenly attack my head..Lol
Anyway, visitors walk along a designated route through the snow corridor and return via a snow path which offered majestic views of Japan Alps in the distance. Its highest point from the road level was 17m at the time of our visit. The whiteness of snow was blinding and you are well advised to bring along your sun glasses in order to thoroughly enjoy the views. Its really worth the visit and the experience of walking along the snow wall is really interesting.
Its very Impressed that the whole area is well-linked by different types of transportation and it is so convenient to take a tour around. Would need at least 6-7 hours for finish all routes, so prepare yourself!
Several tips before and on the trip:
You cannot drive through the route with your car. Instead, you can engage the MyCar transport to bring your car over to the other side of the route.
if you are not part of a tour group, just move to a queue that is designated for Individual. You do not need to join the long queue formed by the tour group. Same applies to the restaurant at Murodo. (However, please note that the last leg, from Kurobe to Omachi, all tourist queue in front of the same entrance to board the bus)
Bring your own sunglasses or you cannot enjoy the views because of direct sunlight. Oh and apply some sunblock! I got tanned but I didn’t realized at that time. Lol
While riding the rope way from Kurobe Dam to reach next check point, Murodo
10:00 AM We’re flight to the Switzerland. LOL no JK. I’m super surprised after arrived at Tateyama Kurobe Route because the place really looked like in European mountains. The first check point is Ozigawa station. We should use the trolley bus to reach next check point, Tateyama Kurobe Dam. After arrived, I’m more surprised because its stunning yet amazing panorama! Fortunately, I’m on the right time to visit this place because the mountains still covered by snow mostly part. The Kurobe Dam built at the upper stream of the Kurobe-gawa River, an arched concrete dam of 186 meters high, is the highest in Japan and is higher than a 50-floor skyscraper. From the dam's observatory, you see a panorama view of the Tateyama Mountain Range and the North Alpine.

This pics was taken right before we leave Keyaki No Ki. What a super-beautiful-amazing-awesome scenery around here. Do you see the mount Tateyama behind us? I even can’t believe my own eyes (⊙ヮ⊙)
07:00 PM after a long long long time we finally arrived at our next hotel, Keyaki No Ki - Hakuba Ski Hotel and Resort (Hokujo 4721, Kitaazumi-gun, Hakuba-mura 399-9301, Nagano Prefecture). We continue to have a dinner after we took our luggage into main lobby.
Review: The Interior has an old-western style, from the old style furniture, floral patterned wallpaper, an old fashioned carpet.. From the exterior, they used stone and wood element everywhere. So I think this hotel was old established. An old fashioned style hotel, abandoned swimming pool, surrounding by pine forest, and cold weather hence make us feel a bit creepy here then turn into creepier when we hear there’s melody sounds played around the corridor.. 怖いです~ (゜▽゜;)
But what I most like from Keyaki No Ki is all staffs in this hotel are very nice even the owner. When we took a dinner, the owner came to us (Me, Kenny, Frandy and Tiara) and ask where we came from. He can barely speak English and he had a small conversation with us. He was very nice and humble!
07:00 AM We take a breakfast and get ready for our next destination. There’s a ‘touching’ moment after we’ve done check out , ALL staffs and the owner are escorting us then waves their hands into our bus which slightly leave the hotels ಥ‿ಥ How can I will forget this memorable moment
