Unexpected Encounters
The door of Eidyn's small cottage was rumbling angrily as someone screamed her name. "Eidyn! OPEN UP! Eidyn!"
Eidyn stepped out of her kitchen, grabbing her sword in a crisp movement; moving it over her shoulder in it's sheathe whilst she opened the door to find someone she hated.
"...Eidyn... You are alive... Mm..." Lhisabeth purred and took off her hat. "I made a visit with Lhaina.. It looks like she might need me... I thought that you were supposed to protect her?"
Eidyn kept quiet, clenching her jaw as the wind slammed into her curls; pushing them over her cheeks and chin.
"I have been protecting her.." She murmured out angrily.
Lhisabeth stepped into her house but a hand was pressed against the woman's chest which told her that she was not welcome inside. "Rude.." Lhisabeth sighed out. "Well, if you know, or you should know; I will be working with Lhaina soon enough it seems. Perhaps become her best friend..."
Eidyn growled. "You are -NOT- allowed to go near her. Do you hear me? She does not need you to corrupt her. She hardly knows how two-faced you are, why hurt such an innocent girl?"
Lhisabeth perked her brows and hah'd into Eidyn's face. "WHAT, do you know about innocence, Eidyn? You were in love with your Commander.. Please. Your Commander most likely didn't even love you.. Ah.. What was that? He always came to bed with -me.- Not you, with -me.- How many times do I need to remind you that?"
"I never did anything with him, Lhisabeth." She said sternly and looked away. "If anything, we had nothing going on. Alright?"
Lhisabeth drew in closer to Eidyn, pushed a finger into her chest and studied her. "How could you be in love with -my- fiancé? How could you even think that way, we were best friends."
"You were never there for him, Lhisabeth! And his death?! You were never there for him in the first place. What, in bed you where; sure, but that makes NO difference! He never loved you." Eidyn closed her eyes roughly and gripped her sword out of anger and distrust. "Leave."
"He never loved me, you say?!" Lhisabeth drew in closer, going chest to chest with the armored woman. "Tell me that again when you remember the nights of hearing us in the tents yell it to each other."
Eidyn began to breathe heavily, stepped into her house and slammed the door into Lhisabeth's face. She scribbled out a letter to Lhaina, telling her that the two had to talk soon and put it in a bird's claw; telling it to find her.
Eidyn took time to go to her room, sit on the edge of the bed and think to herself. Memories shot through her head and all of them pained her. Tears fell down her cheeks, body curled and back sore from all of the pain her tears gave her.
---<Flash Back!>----
It was late, almost everyone in the compound was asleep in their tents. Eidyn was awake, as she was told by her beloved Commander to meet her tonight in his tent; he had something to ask her.
When her Commander told her that, she nodded but deep down she was happy and excited. So young and in love she was back then. When the time came to go to his tent, she traveled with a large fur over her body; draped around her shoulders, neck and face which kept her warm enough.
As she made it to his tent, she saw two shadows; his and another feminine shadow. It made Eidyn curious and it half-hearted her but she knew her Commander wasn't like that.. Or was he?
She opened the flap to the tent, walked in and paused in her steps as she saw the two doing things together. "C... Commander." She said softly, watching his eyes from beneath the woman look to Eidyn.
He immediately got up, draping a kilt over his waist and stared at Eidyn out of embarrassment and sadness. "Eidyn.. I.." He looked at the small clock in his tent then looked back up to her; then down to his fiancé. "Meet.. meet my fiancé." He stumbled out, turned and pointed at the woman in his bed.
"Lhisabeth.. Pleased to meet you." The pouty lipped elven scooted up in the bed; curling the white sheet into her body; trying to cover up and stay warm from the cold air that seeped through the cracks of the tent.
Eidyn stood still for moments then stumbled out a few words herself. "...Eidyn Tya'fel. The honor is mine." She bowed down and turned. "I apologize for intruding." Her brows furrowed at her Commander, walking out quickly.
The Commander followed her, grabbing clothing to toss over himself to keep himself warm enough from the chilled air. It was until Eidyn was half-way to her own tent when he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into his chest. "Eidyn.. I... I should have told you." He swallowed down, looking down at her face. "Please... listen to me. Please?"
Eidyn wiggled her arm out of his grip, stepping back. "I should be sleeping. I have to do a lot of work tomorrow. I'm sorry." She said briefly, beginning to turn until he rose his voice.
"I, as your Commander is telling you to stay here and listen to me!" He said loud enough to make her look at his chest and nod. It took that one look from her to make his heart pain with guilt. "Eidyn... Our marriage was arranged. I know.. I know I should have told you of her but I was afraid that you would never see me the same. I meant what I told you yesterday when I said I love you. She was supposed to be dead but somehow... she is here. And she came to me and.. we.. Things happened. I thought.."
Eidyn forced a smile onto her face and looked up at him with watery eyes. "No worries, Commander. I will see you tomorrow for training, I suppose. Rest well."
The Commander took her by her sides and pulled her in even more. "Say it back to me, please." He whispered.
Eidyn sniffled, and shook her head. "No." She whispered.
"Eidyn, I meant it. You have to believe me!" He cupped her cheek, lowered his head and aimed to press his lips against hers but Eidyn put a hand to his chest and refused to let anything happen.
"You should go back to your fiancé. Please, leave me alone."
He stared at her and in three words she cut his heart into thirds. The first time that they would've kissed was over him hurting her and he knew he would never be able to forgive himself for it. But he was her Commander, and for now he had to play the part in respect. "Yes.." He drew out, shoulders slumped when he watched her walk away.
Eidyn quickly made her way into her tent, caring less if someone could see her shadow. She stripped out of her fancy clothing and went back into wearing her rugged outfit for bed; crawling into her cot, curled up into her sheets as she wept all night. "I love you too.." She whispered to herself.
The Commander made his way into the tent and ended up ignoring his fiancé, falling asleep in bed.
---
The sun came up the next day and Eidyn was at the dummies quite early. Her body covered in plate and her hands holding a shield and sword; slamming the wood roughly as she took her anger out.
The Commander stepped out of his tent and as he did, he was confronted by another Commander who wanted to talk to him. It seemed as if the Commander was more-or-so his friend. But even throughout the conversation his eyes were on Eidyn.
Eidyn stopped her rough housing, putting her shield back behind her along with her sword. She wiped the bottom of her nose, turning to walk into the food tent where she caught the Commander staring at her.
Their eyes met, but she quickly broke the staring as she walked past him to get to the other tents.. However. He grabbed her arm, keeping her in place. "Excuse me, Commander." He nodded to the other man.
"Tya'fel. We need to talk." And without letting her have a personal choice and took her into an empty wooden tent; closing the door behind them. He matched a candle to keep the light between the two and his eyes met hers. "Say it. I know you love me back."
Eidyn shifted uncomfortably, moving back which led her to pressing up into the wall behind her. "You have a fiancé, why does it matter? Please just.. I told you Commander, to leave me alone." She tried pushing her way past him but instead he slammed her into the wall with a fist driving into the wood right beside her head.
"EIDYN!" He roared.
Eidyn stood completely still, letting the tears fall from her face as she looked at his neck, watching his veins pulse angrily. "You hurt me last night, I am not going to say it!"
He removed his hand from the wall, looking at her face swell up with tears. He began to wipe them away quickly, holding her chin and dropping down on his knees where his hands fell. "Eidyn.." His arms moved around her waist, pulling her into a hug as he trembled in sadness and madness. "I love you. If you love me back I can end it all with her and be yours. We can finally become our dream!"
Eidyn put a hand over her mouth to conceal her whimpers, but even as she cried her body gave into his touch and she hugged his face into her waist. "Valak.." For once she let his first name slip past her lips. "Who arranged your marriage?" She dropped to her knees with a loud creak from her plate; hands moving to the sides of his face.
He looked up into her eyes, breathing heavily. "My father..."
Eidyn closed her eyes, kissing his cheek with a sniffle. "You have to marry her no matter what, it was arranged by your father. Respect him and honor him.. Make him happy." She said as she stood and walked to the door. "I will always be here for you, but we can never be anything more than what we are right now."
"Eidyn... I love you. I want -you.-"
"You were making love to her last night, Valak. You.. No. I came here to serve and protect, not to fall in love--" she paused as she slipped. "not to come here and romance. Besides, love isn't what I do."
Valak walked up behind her, putting a hand over the knob of the door; an arm around her waist as he pulled her in. His head tucked into her neck, kissing it warmly. "Admit that you love me and I will leave you alone. You are capable of love, Eidyn. I know you love me back." He curled his hand over hers.
Eidyn's eyes teared up at his touch, but all she thought of was what she witnessed last night with him and his fiancé. It was now or never to admit that she loved him to his face so she turned her head and looked him in the eyes. "I love you too." She put a hand on his cheek and brushed it.
He took her gloves off, twining their fingers together to keep their skin touching as he kissed her neck more and more. "I love you."
Eidyn shivered in delight but pulled forward. "You promised to leave me alone now." She said with sadness, folding her arms over her chest.
He stopped himself from kissing her cheek and stepped back, giving her back her gloves. "Right... Right." He cleared his throat and swallowed down hard. "Tya'fel, go and get your lunch for today. We have a rough routine today. It involves your heart and soul."
Eidyn took her gloves, latching them back over her hands but paused her movements when he said his last line. She nodded slowly, opening the door and leaving.
Since that day, they stayed close friends but she watched him love his fiancé and the more it hurt, the more she understood that it was making her stronger.
But as it began to grow stronger.. So did their connection. Even as they talked they both had a code of letting each other know how much they were hurting or how happy they were..
The Winter Gala came along and everyone had to go, and everyone had to bring a date. The compound took a small break and visited the city; everyone paired with someone.
Valak brought his fiancé and Eidyn planned on simply not showing up but instead someone asked her to go and she agreed.
The night was spent with the two looking at each other but eventually Eidyn looked to her date and moved closer to him; cuddling his form.
Valak noticed and cleared his throat as he walked forward. "May I take this dance?" He questioned the soldier who nodded and backed away.
It took one swift movement for him to pull her in closely; a hand behind her head and one at the small of her back. "You look beautiful." He rested his head against the side of her head. "How have you been?"
Eidyn curled her arms around his broad shoulders, nuzzling her cheek against his. She let herself go tonight, the one night she was allowed to be someone completely different. "You look handsome yourself.. I have been well. How have you been?"
Valak moved his hand away from the back of her head, brushing his fingers against her cheek. "A-" he stopped himself and shook his head. "Good. I have been feeling happier everyday." He knew how much those words would crush her but he had to help her move on and forget him. "Eidyn?"
Eidyn kept a smile on her face and nodded. "Yes?"
"Why are you not involved with someone right now?"
"I told you, I don't exactly fixate myself on love. Love is.. A curse in my eyes. It already cursed me, so I am paying the price." She stepped back as another man asked to take this dance and Valak gritted his teeth; returning to his soon-to-be wife.
-----<End of Flash back!>------
Eidyn curled up on her bed, hugging a pillow into her side. "Where are you, Valak?"
Eidyn made her way into the corridor of her house; stopping as she saw her friend sitting on the bench in the small area in only a bra and sweatpants; hair downm tousled and a-mess.
"Lhaina.. Are you okay?"
Lhaina slowed a dragged gaze up from her lap to the woman who questioned her. Those nimble fingers gripped into the white leather and her chest slowly rose up and down in steady breaths. “I am trying to stay away from the shadows but I have no other way to protect the people I care for without them. And it hurts to admit but, I rather admit to loving the shadows as much as they love me…” Shadows crept up Lhaina’s nude toes; licking at her covered legs and slowly they began to sprout tendrils around her bodice.
Eidyn widened her eyes, taking a seat beside Lhaina with her hands at her feet. Muttering a prayer, light cascaded down her hands and circulated around the woman’s toes; dusting away the shadows. “You say this as if the shadows are a bad thing. I have met shadow users with good intentions, and I am sure everyone considers the shadows to be awful and unhonorable due to the lack of people who decide to not sterotype. You also speak of the light to be for the greater good… No, no. The light follows you, it always will; and you can control as you can with shadows; but what people forget is that the light can also be harmful and distrought just as the shadows. However, everyone is caught up with the idea that every Shadow-weaver known to man is a decieving fly. It depends on honor and tradition, lovely.” Eidyn slid out of her shoes, crawling up onto the backboard of the bench; rested against it just like Lhaina with her arm around her. “Come here.”
Lhaina moved closer and tucked her head into Eidyn’s chest, closing her eyes with her hands closed against her torso. “I have been stressed lately. It feels like I am selfish and stupid. I want love, Eidyn. Why is it so hard to find love? I want… someone to wake up to. To hold, to kiss and tell I love you to. To say good night to and end every day with a kiss; and awaken to a kiss. Why is it so hard to find a love like that? But at the same time, I want danger. I want something to consume me and take me under it’s curse that we call love. I want to take that poison and survive.”
Eidyn closed her eyes and clenched her jaw. “For some reason you and Grypheth enjoy talking to me about love. I know nothing of it…” She began to draw in a sharp breath and cleared her throat. “I do know that love is something you can not look for, you can not hunt it. Love, is not an animal. Love is not food, and love is definitely not greed. Love? Love is the greatest magic out there. It is also the worst curse. You feel lonely because you do not go out there and talk to people. You are like every other whiny elven; you forget that sometimes other people are too shy to talk too, and that you need to make the first move.”
Lhaina sighed. “Why is it easy for you to not associate with people?”
"Because I have spent years secluded from the social life as it is, that I have gotten use to being alone and sticking to my duties."
"Tell me about one of your best memories."
Eidyn sighed and closed her eyes; then tilted her head back and rolled her shoulders. “If you wish.”
"While I was gone, working with the Argent Crusade; I had a Commander who was my only friend out there and if anything, he was possibly someone I had feelings for." She looked at Lhaina’s smirk and nudged her then began on with her story. "We all gave ourselves some time to ourselves during Winter’s Veil and we all decided to throw a small party for us all in the Dinner Tent. Everyone was attending, and truth be told; I didn’t want to go. I was not one to dress up, and I was use to spending nights like these alone… My Commander walked into my tent, looking so handsome. He wore a tuxedo with his hair washed and slicked back with a small goatee at his chin. He told me that I should attend and give it to myself tonight that I was a good soldier and deserved a night like this as did everyone else.. I spent a few minutes arguing that I wasn’t the type and I didn’t want to and he finally gave in telling me alright but that if I wanted to come he would have an empty seat beside him with a vacant spot for me betwixt his side and arm.. I thought on it and I decided to go after an hour.. I know it sounds stupid but I honestly didn’t know how to put on a dress and I gave up eventually and thought that drapping a silk over my body should be easy but to be quite honest it was not. Not with so many stupid layers." Eidyn grumbled, sighing.
"So, I tipped one of the flaps of the tent open and peeked my head in. My Commander was laughing and having a blast, just like everyone else until someone hooted and hollared at me, yelling at me that I finally came and decided to join the party. It was cold outside, but I didn’t want to walk in because I thought I looked awful. So, my Commander came to the tent and took me by the hand then brought me inside of the tent and.. Well. He inspected me, so did everyone else. No one said a word for a long time and I was inwardly groaning at myself, knowing that all of this was a mistake.. Up until someone told me to twirl."
"Slowly I twirled and my Commander stopped me, a hand on my shoulder then he dragged me in closer and hugged me against him. He whispered against my ear that I looked beautiful and that it has been forever since he laid eyes on someone so spectacular… I didn’t believe him, how could I? He was a God before anyone’s eyes and I figured that someone else had to have caught his attention before.."
Lhaina giggled and bit down on her lower lip as she looked up at Eidyn mischiefly. “Someone had feelings for someone else, ooooh!”
Eidyn sighed to herself and muttered something that made Lhaina poke her side. “Alright, the moral of the story is that; that connection my Commander and I had was something forged by time and reality. We forged it by honor, trust and dignity; and love should be that way. Yes, we have a component; which is lust but when you look at someone and say that you honor them and trust them, you love them. Do you understand now, Lhaina? Love is something you let build and grow like a tree; and when it grows… It will sprout to be a beautiful tree. The prettiest of them all, sometimes with poisonous apples but every love story has a bump in there.”
Lhaina hmmed and frowned. “What was your bump?”
Eidyn frowned back and poked her nose. “My bump was when my Commander, when he was in bed and sick he told me that he wanted me to go to the city and find his daughter for him to make sure that she is still alive and happy.. But also to be happy and find someone to love.. He made me promise to retire from the Crusade and not come back.. He was so sick I was sure he was going to die.. And soon enough, I am sure that he did. He stopped breathing and that was when Grypheth came into the tent and brought me out of it. I live every day with a huge hole in my heart. A hole which is cemented with his fingerprints and touch. Him and I never became anything, but we had true love. And true love is something no one can ever not miss. I miss him every day, and I pray to see him every day. Every second I wish to see him but it never happens.. I oh-so wish for it all of the time however. Though, that is just it. You can be happy on your own like me, but I am telling you this right now; my training for you is not something you want. You want company, you need to find that company. I? I am use to this, being here alone and I am happy that way. Being around me is bad for you and you shouldn’t do it. So, I am telling you right now… Get your things, go back to your family manor and when you are settled with what you want to do; come back to me.”
"Eidyn, I want to get a better body and still be around you but.."
"I will not get hurt over this, Lhaina. I promise you." She smiled and nudged her nose with her own. "I will be happy for you. One of us needs a happy ending, and that is you. Besides, you are so young and accustomed to the norms now that there are hardly people out there who are like me anymore."
Lhaina curled up against Eidyn more and kissed her cheek then got up and pulled a shirt over her body, making her way to her room to pack her things. “I will come every weekend to work out with you and I will always think of you as my mother. I love you, Eidyn.”
"I.." Eidyn was crusty on the words, looking at the empty space beside her now.
"Say it, Eidyn. It’s okay."
"I… Love you too."

So far I would feel we are on track for success. I finally have all leaders in place and in a few days’ time the induction will solidify all that has been worked for.
Tyrestrus is doing well in his position, not only as Grand Master but as my personal guard. In any event that he has been...
So, I won’t be in game for awhile, I guess. I just ran out of WoW time, and until I get a job (which I’m hoping in kind of soon, but I doubt it) I won’t have money to buy anymore. Just a heads up.
WELL IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE IS ABOUT TO BE GIFTED WITH SOME TIME. - -- - - - -- --- - -- -Gryph.<3}}

<Flash back.>
Eidyn was in a whole other world, but her body kept cringing. She felt her lungs grow heavier and heavier; but it was due to the heavy winds and the hard snow that brushed over her plate-clad body.
The Commander decided to split their soldiers into groups of five for protection. One who would lead, the other three would fight along side the leader and then the last would be a mender, to keep anyone from dying.
Eidyn was the odd man out. There was an odd number of men that day and the shipment for another crew to come in was running late. The boat was having issues running, so it left the original people on the land with a scarce amount of fighters... Per usual.
The Commander looked down at Eidyn and he nodded his head respectively. "Tya'fel, it seems as if it will be you and I. Are you willing to fight and mend? I have seen you do both at the same time before, and it has caught my eye that you are a good soldier."
Eidyn saluted her Commander, putting her hand back to her side and resisted a nod which made the Commander half-smile and shake his head.
"I am not such a hard ass, not as hard as your other Commanders. We will be doing something different, and this will be dangerous. You and I will be venturing out north to find new land for our men to make shelter in. We have no idea how close they are getting, but hearing the yelling means that those... rotten things are getting closer." The Commander grumbled as he began to walk.
Eidyn followed her Commander, fixing the fur wrapped around her shoulders and hugged it closer to her cheeks to keep her face from freezing. A small sniffle was given, but that was a usual thing for almost everyone who stayed in Northrend to defend. The cold was never something anyone could get use to, but it was something everyone woke up expecting to beat their asses in. "Permission to speak, Commander?"
"Always, Tya'fel."
"Do you have any family back home?"
The Commander went quiet for a long, long time. It made Eidyn feel as if she asked the wrong question, but the one time she chose to start up a conversation; she knew it wasn't going to get very far. Either way, the silence helped her focus on any noises that would signal any species coming their way or even any Death Knight's that might as well want to purge the living.
It had to be miles, hours until the Commander spoke. "My wife died giving birth the my beautiful daughter Laiela. Other family members I have not spoken with since the fall of my House. What about you, a lover, children... Regular family?"
Eidyn rose a brow at the word Lover, and it actually made her head tilt. She shook her head slowly after, catching up with her Commander. She glanced off to the far right, taking in the lonely view. Nothing was there, no trees, no people or enemies. Nothing at all.
"Not a single person of interest that I could call a Lover. Children? No, but I hope one day I can have them. My mother told me that it was only her and I, but she was hardly ever home. She.. sold herself to get money for the house. The house felt vacant almost always, it was always just me and her coming home late. I suppose I began to work in my early age due to my mother coming home.. Tired and frail. By the time I grew tired at night, she would be out. I am sure that I have half-brothers and sisters but there is no fact of it. I do not think that I have any cousins, uncles, or aunts. My father... I don't know what happened to him. I always think to myself that he was a great man; my mom kept his journal but she never let me near it. Now I have no idea where it is, and my mother never told me. She died recently; overdosed."
The Commander frowned to himself, nodding. His eyes went back to the front of them and his arm moved out to stop Eidyn from moving. The arm that was extended out then went up behind his back to take the large sword off of his back. His fingers coiled around the hilt; bringing it in front of him, and his second hand joined on holding it still. He brought himself into a stance; watching the sight in front of him. His voice went quiet. "Do you see those frosty tendrils?"
"Yes." Eidyn moved her hands to grab her shield and sword but her Commander told her to not do that. He said to get back and so she did.
"Four yetti's. Six frosty tendrils from their noses; their breath. I want you to run Eidyn. Only one of us will make it out alive. Before you go, grab the golden necklace hanging off of the back of my belt and put it around your neck. When you go home, give it to my daughter and tell her that I love her so much."
Eidyn almost listened but she stopped. She grabbed her golden rimmed, black shield with a pulsing middle that was red. Who knew what this was, but it was something her mother gave her. The only thing she was given. "No man is left behind, Commander."
The Commander looked behind himself and snarled at her; white teeth baring. "Leave, that is an order soldier!"
"It seems like you will have to deal with my misbehaviour back at the base, Commander." Eidyn walked closer to him and went into her own stance.
There were four frosty tendrils that grew close, and so did the visage of a large Yetti. Their frosty blue eyes were rimmed with red from their anger and hunger; their breaths large and rumble-like.
The Commander nodded at Eidyn in a signal and he charged forward into the Yetti closest to them. The sword in his hand slashed into the Yetti's side, causing it to bleed and roar out in pain which then made the second Yetti come closer to him and swing roughly at the Blood Elven Commander's side- forcing him to be knocked backwards.
Eidyn ran towards the dropped Commander, raising her shield in a block to keep the first Yetti from hitting him. She growled lowly and a flash of light hit the Commander; rejuvenating his strength and health. She was mad, furious. Her sword went swinging into the stomach of the beast and the beast crouched forward to bring her into a hug to smash her but in a quick, swift and agile movement her body went from the left to the right and her sword followed; creating a jagged line from the large beasts hip to it's arm.
Blood began to seep into the ground of the snow and the wind brought the coppery smell into the two Elven's noses. It was thick and sickening but they dealt with it like troopers.
The Commander had the second yetti knocked out on the ground and his large sword went into the chest of the yetti's. He roared loudly, wiping the blood at the sides of his lip off. He turned around and charged into the yetti that was ready to slam it's fist into Eidyn was able to give her a good, solid punch on her mouth which busted it and caused it to begin to bleed.. Though the beast fell forward with the Commander's rough charging blow and the beast let out a cry and finally it's eyes closed. The blood crawled into the snow, hitting the base of the ground and most likely planted itself there.
The last Yetti... The one which stayed hidden suddenly came to view. The other two definitely made the two Elven's look up but this one made them tilt their head back as far as they could.
The Commander was right, this one wouldn't be able to go down with just two people. But it would be injured enough to not move, however one of the two elves would have to risk their lives... No, Eidyn was not going to let that happen.
She took no time to create a large ball of light and blast it forward into the beast. The circular ball of light slammed right into the Yetti's stomach. Though it penetrated only one layer of skin, the fire of the light licked at it's fur and burned a good patch off.
The Commander dropped his sword and grabbed Eidyn's shield and sword from her hand's. First Eidyn was confused but then the Commander suddenly seemed different. He was more absolute than anything. He charged forward; slamming the shield right into the beast and the red pulsating bump suddenly blew up with acid hitting the beast. The acid hit the beast hard and it wobbled backwards. The Commander looked at the shield then looked back at Eidyn with a brow raised.
"In my defense I had no idea that, that did that. I only know that my mother gave it to me."
The Commander smirked at her then rushed forward once again, the left over acid spewed right into the mouth of the beast and in an instant the beast was knocked out cold. It was left to die on the empty, snow-filled field alone. The acid would hit it's organs soon enough to kill it from the inside out, even if it it's blood was leaking rapidly.
The Commander and The Soldier walked back to their base together, he kept the shield and sword with him for safety reasons. His body was wobbling but he didn't show it; leaving Eidyn oblivious. She saw the blood spewing from his side but he kept telling her that it was left over blood from the Yetti.
Eidyn stared at her Commander then forced his arm around her shoulder and shoved her hand into the wound; forcing the Commander to cry out, look down at her and growl. He let out cuss words and she ignored it. Her plate, blood covered glove dripped with his copper-filling glowed with a beautiful golden shimmer. The runes on the gloves brought the light from her finger tips out and onto the plate digits; slithers of light slammed into the Commander's body and his form leaned into her. His nose rested on the side of her head, forcing to keep his own eyes open. The multiple wounds and heals were giving his body a huge sore and his muscles ached.
It got to the point where Eidyn forced herself to carry the Commander bridal style to the base. He kept babbling to her about how this was inappropriate and wrong, but she ignored his words.
------- <<<TIME PHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE>>>>------
Eidyn got quite a few stares at the group of people who were back at the base and they all giggled and laughed at the Commander. She sighed to herself; walking into the Commander's tent and set him on his cot.
The Commander groaned at her, poking her side. "Do that to me again and I swear you will have to run one hundred laps."
"Scary, Commander." She smirked at him, tugging at his plate with a hand over his mouth. "You are getting out of this armor and hopefully you have undergarments on. Believe me, as much as you don't want me to see it; I do not want to see it."
The Commander tried to move to get up but his sore muscles forced him down and his eyes focused on Eidyn's face. "Thank you for being there for me, Soldier." His hand lifted and settled on her arm. "I want you to take that necklace and go back to the city."
Eidyn moved away from him, grabbing the Commander's large sweater and sweatpants with long socks; putting it on his body. She then took her fur-coat off of her plate armor, putting it over his form as well as the yak-fur of blankets on his body. "Commander, I-"
"My friend Lady Cyv'arik will take you back home. I want you to find my daughter and find your family. You have potential, and I do not want to see someone as good as you die on the field where no one will care to bury you. Come here, sit down with me." He scooted to the side, patting the empty spot beside him.
Eidyn was hesitant but finally moved to sit with him- but his hand went to her back and he stopped her.
"Get out of your armor and wear my other sweater and slacks, alright? You had a tough day."
Eidyn sighed at him, putting a cloth piece over his eyes. "No looking."
"How can you not trust your Commander?"
"Maybe because I don't trust him being able to walk himself back to the base."
Eidyn was slipping into the Commander's shirt and pants already but she paused at rolling up her pants the moment she felt a pillow hit her back. "No wasting your pillows, Commander!" She called at him, tossing it back at him. She walked closer, taking off his fold and moved in beside him. She rested her back up against the pole that kept the tent from falling and her hands clasped at her stomach.
The Commander forced himself to sit up a little but found himself resting his head on her arm, and it started to become the time where he didn't care what he was doing. The Commander and Eidyn were close enough as is, as personal friends and even as a Commander and Soldier. His eyes fell closed and his arms moved around her torso in a hug.
Eidyn laughed at him, unclasping her hands and moving her arm over his shoulders with her other hand' digits brushing his hair away from his face. "If I go back home, promise me you will be back in the city soon enough? No dying, no more getting hurt. I want letters from you, and I want you to keep yourself from even frowning, alright?"
He smiled drowsily to himself, nuzzling his head into her side and moved his leg over hers. In a sudden pull she had her head on the pillow and his head was on her chest.
This was weird to her, even as him being her best friend she never had affection like this. For the first time he actually snuggled into her, and she snuggled back into him.
"Do as I say and do not worry about me. As for you, do not get socially awkward with people. I want you to remember that you were out in Northrend busting yourself as other people stayed in the city. I want you to remember your strength and regain every bit of my honor with my daughter, with you. I trust you. I will come to the city, but not right now." His voice dragged off and Eidyn laughed.
------
The day came for Eidyn to go back home with a red-headed fox she recently met named Grypheth, but she went by Lady Cyv'arik. It was a week later, but within that week things have changed.
Eidyn was ready to say bye to everyone but as she did the news of Troop A's Commander had grown extremely ill and will need bedrest. It flew through the speakers and her heart broke.
She went to visit him and her hand moved inside of his quickly. "Commander-"
He coughed, forcing a smile at her. "Good bye, Eidyn." He brought the woman close into him, making sure her ear was over his slow-beating heart. The Commander began to heavily breathe when finally his breathing and beating stopped.
Eidyn let out tears and cried heavily, the shock over-came her and somehow everything in her world turned upside down. Memories of every single second with him flew through her mind and the feeling of him dying against her killed her even more. She could save him, and she was going to do that up until Grypheth walked into the tent and snickered at the crying girl.
"Look, Sugar. People come and go, and it was his time to die. If you bring him back from the dead, you lose your light for a long, long time. Besides, how do you know that he would want what you want? Maybe he wants peace now. Believe me, he does want peace."
Eidyn was shocked at how horrible Grypheth was, but she was also a witch who made a living off of hurting people.
Eidyn attended The Commander's funeral, and everything from there went down hill. Before she actually went on her mission to find the Commander's daughter, Grypheth chose to use her as a rag-doll in her house and began to torture her and do multitudes of other things.
From torture to curses to close death and even to almost hanging onto her last breath. Grypheth corrupted Eidyn, from the inside and out. She made Eidyn build a tougher shell around her heart; adding to the one that was created at the base. She made the poor woman's mind slowly go insane.
Then one day, Grypheth realized what she was doing. Why she was doing this, and it wasn't for herself. She was lonely, she was missing the company of her husband and so she took it out on Eidyn.
With time, Grypheth helped Eidyn get back into shape and such and she helped Eidyn find a home which she still lives in. Gryph helped Eidyn re-mold her body and even helped her re-mold her mind.
---
Eidyn snapped out of her trance and looked at herself in the mirror; hands clasped on the wooden top of the table and she frowned. Everything changed so fast, and even with being a brand new person she was still broken inside.
She remembered everything Grypheth did to her, and still to this day it pains her. She recalls The Commander's death and also everything that happened in Northrend, but she also reminded herself of her past..
It made Eidyn's heart sink knowing that she still hasn't found the Commander's daughter. But either way, she put the necklace that she put in front of her back into her jewlery box and closed it tight.
Eidyn took a walk to her old house where her and her mother lived; and she opened the dusty old door. She walked right into the home and busted open the locked room that was full of old armor and a chest full of journals and diaries written by her father, as well as her father's father and her father's mother.
She looked at the old-glass case holding a woman's armor and her eyes lowered, a finger brushing away the imprinted writing of Casi'ena Dawnwright.
The armor in Eidyn's opinion was actually quite... Revealing... In her opinion. However, that didn't stop her from grabbing the chest and wrapping ropes around the four glass-cases and dragging them with her back to her home. It was time to finish her research about her family.
"Time to be a different woman, Eidyn." She mumbled to herself; swinging her door open and resting everything in the living room.

Dear Journal,
Today has been quite the day. I made progress within the Order. I met with Damon, and as I did in the beginning I met a man named Redros and a woman who goes by the name, 'Nel,' if I remember.
Things got quiet which made Damon take me around the city and introduce me to where the Order often gathers together to meet and greet and such. I met a few other people, one by the woman named Lea and another who was Damon's sister; Knoxen then another man who I did not get ahold of a name.
Damon and I spoke about many things, and it all widdled down to when he told me about Elenaris and her family. He told me about her cousin, Lady Runeweaver... He asked me if I knew who she was.
Honestly, I have no idea who she is. Apparently she is someone important in the city, but somehow I have not heard of her. Though the amount of training and lack of being in the city has served me right.
However, it seems as if I might have seen her and her House at the Forum.
Damon told me that I had to meet Lady Eventide soon, and the same with Dathion. I still have yet to meet with him; and quite frankly I am not sure if I am ready to. Although I met with people from within the Battalion and met people who will be joining.
I wish I had more events to write about, but nothing else really happened. Tonight I was supposed to meet Lady Eventide with Lea but it turns out that I will not be in the city tonight, and I hope this does not come off as me ditching her.
..Ah. Damon did get me to raise my brow at him.

Meet the new FC for Eidyn. <3 I figured she fit my toon better.(: }}
Dear Journal,
I met this man named Syv Dawnvein and I can't tell what I think of him. But I do know that I want to get to know him. He acts almost... goofly around me, but I feel like I like it. Around him I feel my lips spring up into a smile; but nothing ever physically cracks sadly.
Last night I found him and I tried to wear something that 'fit in' with the Silvermoon-esque, but instead I got whistled at and he eyed me down and went quiet for a long, long time. I didn't like it, I wasn't very happy that I got those reactions.
I don't want to be a call girl in the city, for fel sakes I served. I know what respect is; and I didn't throw myself at anyone. It looks like I'm going to fit in with the boring crowd.
I got my application back from Apex and I was accepted in. So far I have spoken to one person, only for a small introduction; his name is Damon. He made me feel comfortable with the entire estate.
I have my eyes on joining the Battalion, and although Damon sent me to Dathion Spellshatter who I then next sent a letter to, I have a feeling that Spellshatter will often get my choice of words wrong.
He already mis-read my letter, I don't want trouble. I suppose it will be like the field, since he -is- the Commander. The Commander is always right, because whining gets you nowhere.
I feel like I'm doing a pretty alright job with this new city-esque. My only drive is Ace, it'd feel wrong if I didn't try. She tried accepting me, and she did. She ended up hugging me and... I still need to visit her again.
...Returning to Syv, I asked him if he would like to spar; and he said yes but told me that there could be no funny business. I... looked at him, looked to the ground then looked back up at him and asked him what he meant by funny business.
He went quiet, blinked at me then cleared his throat and changed the subject. I'm still confused on what he meant, and I suppose I will be for a long, long time.
As for the sparring, it got late and we both decided to rest ourselves up before we do anything of the sort.
Today I'm planning on seeing Commander Spellshatter to see what I have to do to get into the Battalion. I also plan on seeing Damon for friendly advice, it looks like I made one friend so far.

day twenty-eight of 30 days supernatural ladies favourite episode that majorly features a female character: Red Sky at Morning
How much is she lifting? I’d really like to know :3
Eidyn started her morning off at the crack of dawn, showering, putting on home-wear clothing and eating breakfast. She made lunch and put it in the fridge, keeping it for later. Today was a long and stressful day for her. She promised to see Ace soon, and she didn't know how soon Ace wanted her to see her, or how soon her cousin might move into her place.
It was good that she lived in a more secluded area in Quel'Thalas. Further from the nobles but closer to the sea. Somewhere along the lining of the water was a pathway to her stone-cottage which she got lucky with. It had a good size of land before the ocean started to tide in and claim a good portion of her home's front lawn.
Behind her house was a shed which was mainly her at-home gym, extra weaponry storage area and especially her tool place for when she decides to build. There was a small forge behind a back door in the shed where she sculpted her own armor and forged her own weapons which decorated the area.
Outside of the house, attached to the right side of the house was something quite ugly looking for now. An unfinished piece of the house; with yellow wood waiting to be attached to each other. It silently called for the cement, and she mentally agreed to try and finish today.
At around nine o'clock in the morning, she began her working which involved humming, grunts, and sighs of irritation. It all was going swell, and before she knew it the sun that was tanning her skin started to fall to the otherside of Azeroth as the blanketed moon made it's way to create a wonderful shine over the water, glazing the surface with the twinkling lights and glistened her cleanly cut grass.
She took the moon as a hint to stop and rest, and since she did so much work today; tomorrow she would be done anyway. Most people would have made their way inside and ate their food; but she skipped her lunch. Which honestly would have been dinner tonight. Instead, she went into the shed and started to work out.
It began with two large table flips to three, ten sets of jump rope; to suicides inside for cardio and finally to her favorite part. Lifting. More or so, squating. The Worker made her way beneath the metal bar; shoulders positioning herself and feet readied to keep it's body up and steady as the good near-two hundred pounds was pressed into her body.
She went down, knees bent and paused; sucking in air. When she went up she let it out and it was routine she did for possibly a good thirty minutes. She didn't know what got into her, but even after that she worked on her arms, doing several push ups.
Beads of sweat ran down her body and trickled against the floor. Her hair was wet and soggy from the sweat, forehead dotted with the droplets and her gym-wear was drenched in it. When she started to smell her own stench she took that as the last sign to go inside, shower, eat, and make her way into the city for a round trip of walking then if she didn't encounter anyone new or her cousin she would go back home and rest.
---
Eidyn got out of the shower, rubbing the towel against her skin then stopped in front of her body mirror. She looked at her face, studying it. She studied her lips, forcing them into a smile but she stopped; realizing how crooked and bad it looked. It was broken, she was like an old time watch. Cracked on the glass but the arms still ticked.
This made her wonder how her smile looked with Ace and somewhere in her locked away heart it dropped. It wasn't long before she was putting her undergarments on and working on latching her plate against her body.
Almost closing the closet, she stopped and stared inside of it. In there hung her Blood Knight tabard, along with the black sash full of badges she always put around her body after locking it away within the plate. She contemplated on putting it on, and finally chose to close the doors to her closet and stepped back.
"I'll be wearing something else soon, hopefully." Eidyn muttered to herself, walking out of the door; locking it behind her and hopping onto her stallion. She made her way into the city slowly, taking in the night air.
Body reference to Eidyn.<3}}
Eidyn took a seat on one of the many benches within the Royal Exchange. She took out her journal, crystal vial full of ink and quill. She took the vial's top off, carefully dipping her quill into the purple coloring and began to write.
Dear Journal,
The last time I touched this was when I decided to write to myself about finding out that I had family. A cousin, Acalinia Embershade. I had Grypheth find her for me first and tell her about me. I wanted to know if she wanted to see me or not.
Ace told Grypheth that she didn't want to see me for some reason. I found out why today, she dropped a good hint. My mother. My mother was anything but a mother. She slept around with men and I'm sure that I have half-brother and half-sisters that I don't know about, but that was my inspiration to become a Knight.
Serve and protect people who are worth protecting, and to fight and die for these people who fight right beside me in one way or another.
I got lucky today, I was holding the parchment of Ace's face sketched onto the sheet and found her standing in front of the Warlock Sanctum. When I walked up to her, I didn't know how she was going to react when I asked her if she was Acalinia Embershade.
Ace was leaning against the wall of the building, dozed off. I suppose she awakened from her slumber when she heard my plate boots hitting the ground of our beloved city and rattling the crisp air with a heavy noise. She responded saying that she is, and asked who I was.
I started to introduce myself the way I usually do, putting Knight in front of every meeting. But with her I corrected myself and said Eidyn Tya'fel, her cousin. She looked at me surprised then asked what I wanted with her and such.
I explained to her that she was my cousin, and we were the last family members alive that we know of, of our family. At first things were tense, and I was expecting her to shove me off or burn me, but she did the exact opposite.
With a strange type of comfort, she accepted me. She told me to walk closer, and I did. I didn't have the right to question that, since I found her instead of her finding me. Her nimble, tan fingers went under my chin and she scrutinized me.
I kept my gaze on hers and she cracked a scarred lipped smile at me. Deep down I smiled to myself, I couldn't exactly bare it right now. My emotions have been plagued in such a manner since I have been traumatized with the things that I have seen when I was out at war.
The people I have helped train die, at my account. My cost. My emotions started to dull when depression struck me; but I never chose to let it overwhelm me. Even if I had one passing thought, another lingered. The thought of something or someone being out there for me, someone I had to find. I had to live for this person.
I feel like that person is Ace, but when I met her it felt more like a meeting that was bound to happen. Instructed for us, except we both played the game of chess our way and broke rules so we were comfortable... I'm in Silvermoon for Ace and another reason, but I don't know what.
At one point during our meeting I smiled. It might have been when I asked Ace for permission to hug her, and she hugged me back. After a few moments I asked her if we should let go and air it out.. That hug wasn't a hug, it was awkward. Her friend came along, an undead. All I recall is his nickname, 'Rak.'
He studied in the dark arts as my cousin did, and I suppose that could be why or how they know each other. He was a nice man. I enjoyed his company. He spilled the beans about Ace being alone quite often in her life, and that killed me.
It surfaced many thoughts and feelings, and I felt like pulling her in for a hug. But I hid it. She asked me towards the end of our meeting, around that time if I was staying or if I was leaving and if this was a first time type of meet thing.
I admitted to wanting to stay. She told me about the loss of her recent job and how she was living with a friend right now, but before that I offered her to stay at my place. Before even that, she told me she'd pay for my Inn room and I didn't realize how happy she might have been to see one person from her family alive.
I told her whenever she needed a place to stay, to find my cottage. It has two rooms, for now it's quite small. It's hidden in the hills and it has two rooms.. But I've been building onto it.
Time came to where Rak was going to leave, but I told him to stay and finish conversing with her. I didn't want to intrude. I told them that I would leave, I had to so I could go to the Board and look for Order's that were hiring protection for their Order.
Ace looked sad, she frowned at me and... it looked like she was scared that I was going to leave forever. I promised her before she left the city, and so did I, I would wish her sweet dreams on her slumber tonight.
Then all I remember is smiling at her and walking off... Finding myself here after a long time of searching for an Order.
I should get going and find her to wish her a good slumber for tonight.
-Eidyn Tya'fel
Grypheth frowned at Eidyn, folding her arms beneath her chest. "Your cousin said that she wanted nothing to do with you. I'm sorry that this happened to you."
Eidyn kept her lips pursed and closed her eyes; sighing to herself softly. Her soft curls fell over her cheeks in perfect ringlets and her gauntlets moved to the front of her body in a hold.
"Eidyn?" Grypheth questioned. curious to know if she was okay or heart broken. She has never seen much emotion from her, not besides the one day she went to look through her old family heirlooms with Eidyn and found her surprised and happy to know of her other family.
Family she didn't know existed.
"Thank you. It looks like I need to get ready and make my return to the city.. Once and for all." Eidyn looked at Grypheth, nodding and walking towards the door; opening it. "I will seek you out sooner or later."
Grypheth nodded, leaving on her behalf. "Of course."
---
It took hours and hours until Eidyn finished re-vamping her armor, and fixing the tabard on her body that was full of badges. She kept her posture straight as always and slipped a hand down her tabard to unwrinkle any unseen crimples.
"Time to meet cousin Acalinia.."
