This situation is Suzuki Tatsuhisa allover again... Tge difference is his wife, LiSA is VERY popular so she gained lots of support. But in Sakurai's case, his wife and mistress could never feel that kind of support.

I wish fans could realize that everyone should learn from their mistake, and these ppl won't be able to learn if their fans "feel very regretful if the va is changed".

Even when Suzuki Tatsuhisa still has his Ranmaru role, it took years for him to gain his respect back from colleagues and (some) fans.

Suzuki Tatsuhisa DESERVED for doing what he did because in his case he not only cheated on poor LiSA but the mistress also knew about his marriage and also bragged about cheating to other people.

Please cutting him off of numerous animes also made sense because even tho he was in contact with different companies about upcoming works he still went on and leaked and spoiled the anime content so it's very much understandable that he not only ruined the contract but also the trust of staff, people involved in the project and ruined all animator's and seiyuu's hardwork.

It really is said because LiSA herself was a child of divorced parents and she just wanted to have a nice and loving family of her own and wow Tatsu really did that with his whole chest. I still remember in one of the article it was mentioned he would call the mistress in HIS AND LiSA'S SHARED HOUSE WHEN LiSA was away and would say things like "she (LiSA) has gone for work, no one is at home except me you can come now" wow JUST WOW 🤡

For Sakurai man I hope he also gets removed ASAP because imagine cheating for 10yrs and doing it so swiftly that even his OWN company didn't know Sakurai was actually married 🤡 and played with an Innocent woman who thought he was single all along and poor woman was already dreaming about marriage and when she came to know he was married she was not only hurt but so shocked she was sent to h0spital.

It doesn't help the fact that fans would rather whine about their anime characters like please read the damn room! 2 men have ruined lives of women and one of them is in h0spital and also ruined so much hardwork of other people involved in the anime industry especially animators who work even tho they are super underpaid!!! And who lied to their own company.

I really wish for Sakurai's wife and mistress and LiSA nothing but all the happiness, hope and success in their life rn.

One thing’s for sure. That is Sakurai’s 2nd major scandal that I know of. Honestly it’s not even that bad, all things considering. Other seiyuu have gotten away with worse, way worse. Not that I am defending him but I don’t see him losing his career over this personal issue. From what I can see he didn’t harass anyone, break any contract, infringe any copyright (unlike his first major scandal), he didn’t break NDA either.

The dude was never a paragon of virtue in the first place anyway. He was already very controversial like 10-15 years ago. Back then he had been sued and had to pay hefty damages for plagiarism. In fact, that scandal almost literally killed his career. He was cut off from much of his voice and acting jobs. The stakes for him were much much higher.

Moreover It has always been obvious that he was married no matter how much he kept everything under wraps. And that wasn’t anyone’s business even then, either.

This recent revelation is ultimately a matter of privacy. He had reasons for keeping his marriage and ofc his affair private, no matter how practical and fckd up they were. Plus he and his lover seemed to have already broken it off. Now his messed up marriage will be under more public scrutiny. His wife will be stalked as well. I think that’s the more yikes part.

Remember, Kenjiro Tsuda was forced to reveal his own marriage. Kamiyan was forced to reveal he had a family and then publicly apologize when tabloids snapped pictures of him with his kid. Mamo dealt with absurd levels of fan hate when he announced his wife giving birth. Asanuma Shintaro got flak for announcing that he was divorced. OnoKen and Hanazawa Kana were stalked outside the apartment that they secretly lived in together and were also pushed into public apology. Tattsun was relentlessly asked questions while on the street about his affair (tho that was bigger coz he broke NDA). NamiDai’s shtty scandal was found out by tabloids stalking him in love hotels too. NobuRin’s affair was revealed by tabloids in the same manner as well.

Those tabloids digging sht up on celebrities using invasive measures is big business and we're all still buying it.

The idol culture that surrounds seiyuus punishes them when they fall in love/get married/have children/get divorced. Yet it is because of this systemic secrecy that infidelity issues are allowed to run rampant as well. Ofc you'll get all sorts of actors that will take advantage of their reality in ways more than one. This recent scandal is another proof of their fckd up world.

I wish these actors were allowed to deal with their own private sht.

Tamayo, the Fashion-Forward Modern Taisho Woman

I just noticed the details in Tamayo's kimono are similar to the telltale blurred lines of Meisen style kimono, a production method in which the threads were dyed with a pattern before being woven and would have had blurred edges to the patterns instead of crisp, smooth lines of labor-intensive patterns created on pre-woven silk. Meisen screams Taisho fashion and is still popular among retro kimono enthusiasts. Taisho was a fun period anyway for kimono pattern experimentation in the first place, but that was somewhat later Taisho, and the kimono throughout KnY reflect that we hadn't quite gotten to those Art Deco fashions yet. Even if they liked the Western food our humans girls still seemed to have conservative fashion tastes.

What I find interesting about what this says about Tamayo is that she was somewhat ahead of the times, for KnY likely takes place around 1915 (if we go by the Hand Demon's clues) and Meisen didn't really take off until the 1920's. She and Muzan both seemed to find it easiest to accomplish their goals by fitting into a high level, forward thinking part of society. It seems they both had a genuine interest too, at least by little details shared in the fanbooks about Muzan's financial companies and Tamayo's appreciation for Western style black tea. They both had hundreds of years of perspective on changing society, so I'm curious about their first interactions with imported Western society and widescale societal overhaul in Meiji times, like "yeah, I can do this, where have these hats been all my life, what do you know, I had a knack for foreign languages all along, cool cool cool."

Oh my gosh, now I think I need to see them running into each other but having trouble recognizing each other is in full Western style party dress at a Meiji era dance hall, Tamayo-sama would look stunning, I need this.
