Merry CoinPin secret santa!!! I um. I have to admit. So. Your prompt made me kind of. Want to design an entire AU. Like. It was a really. Really good prompt. It made me think a lot! Maybe too much- I hope this finds you well and that you like it !!

Basically: yeah, they're on different teams in BFDIA. Book, Coiny, and Donut form what would have been WOAH Bunch. Pin would eventually be coerced into Pencil's alliance and thus into FreeSmart basically because they wanted her as elimination fodder- something that backfired for them, especially after removing her face and shrinking her in the thoughts that she would be eliminated for not helping the team...

A good short descriptor of this AU would be "pin and book switch places". I've come to realize that's literally what I did here to get Pin and Coiny on opposing sides AHAHAA.

Coiny and Book function as a duo, and Book believes that he views her with as much camaraderie as she does for him. Truth is that Coiny's had the corner of his eye on the bullying Pin's been facing- a dilemma, because he wants to win more than anything. Why does he feel so bad for her? FreeSmart is the enemy, after all, and she's stuck with them through and through...

Such is fate, they're drawn together again. Pin finds herself begging for someone to care, and Coiny is the only one who ever would. They make me mad...

The mech suit is different just for an extra splash of divergence haha!
