“I have absolutely no idea to what you are talking about.”
Frowning, Mari did not move backwards. She stood still, instead reaching out a hand to grasp at Eira’s cold digits. “Come with me. Please. Being alone is scary and I…trust you.”
Lacing their fingers together, Eira nodded with a small smile and began to move forwards. “I will go with you. You are not alone. I understand we have our...differences. Yet in the end, I can rely on you. So you may rely on me. Come.”
“Do not pretend like you care..I’m just. Training. That..That’s all.”
“Of course I care. I would not bother with you if I did not care.” Eira huffed, moving closer, “Stop being ridiculous. You are heading out of camp. Alone. In the dead of night. Do not tell me you are hunting.”
“What is it you wished to show me?”
“..Mm? Did you..follow me?”
“Yes. What are you doing, Mari? Do not be foolish.”
“Oh gods.. I-I’m sorry.”
“So you should be.”

feelings suck, and sometimes they are so heavy that you don’t know what to do and you feel this raging storm inside. whatever heartbreak or sorrow you may be facing - I hope this can help you.
@EISKÖNIGIN: Shout out to both Caspian and to Leander. The only people I can cope with in my 13 years of being here.

wandering-sea-child:
“That makes sense but does that happen every time?” he wondered, but the ida of his abilities being constant like that made him glad he was a son of Poseidon and not something far worse. “Well your protection or confidence is lovely, really I just wish things were easier here.” for a brief moment he was as transparent as the ice his princess could manipulate, “Though it’s fine…I’ve been through worse, but can I be truthful?” he asked and stopped once the lake was in view. “It’s not like home—y’know?” It wasn’t like him to complain or to be this pathetic? Though even if Eira was a quintessential ice queen, something about her warmed his heart. Ironically it wasn’t her generally demeanor but she embodied his home country and that was enough for him to feel connected to her. “I know you can protect yourself, after all you aren’t a fragile demigodess” he said politely, “Though It’s kind of my thing to be protective so if you may I can be your quasi-guard and your friend.”
“Unless I am focusing very hard to make my body temperature...normal. Though I do not do that often. I am cold to the touch.” Sighing ever so slightly, Eira’s words hung heavy in the air for a moment. She enjoyed wondering what her life would be like if she were a child of another god, or of none at all. Would she be even more deeply loved by her country? Would her family love her again? What would her life be like? Though, pushing it aside lest she be pulled into sadness which would not be acceptable in such a situation, the white haired girl focused on Anders’ words, “You can always be truthful. I would greatly prefer it.” Stopping in her tracks, the princess turned to him and nodded, reaching out to lift his hand in her palm in a gentle motion once securing that no campers were in view. “I understand. People insist that this place is our home. Though we had and still have lives outside of here. I do not believe they understand our ties to whatever we had before this. You are not alone in those thoughts. Yet, you must train and rope in your abilities until you can fully control yourself. Then, you may work on planning your outside life. But this is no home. And it will never be home.” Her voice had lost it’s iced edge, now soft and perhaps even warm. Her hands had moved back to her skirts within a moment, however. “Feel free to be so. I’d enjoy your company.”
