So between watching the 2014 live action Constantine series for fic inspo (which!! I will be posting eventually) I decided to watch Hemlock Grove. It was a mistake.

So much so that slowly it's been ingrained into everyone's minds that he's never taken them off. Like, they can't even remember a time where he hasn't worn sunglasses.
It's just like, his thing.
Why does he wear them? Well, because Danny's previous blue eyes changed to a startling, glowing green that he knows the GIW would eat up and use as a reason to force him into their custody.
Solution?
Sunglasses.
His parents? Oh yea they went all in when he they found out why he was wearing them (Reveal gone right au babyy). They made them extremely durable; they can film audio, take pictures, take videos, see through walls and even track down ecto-signatures for whenever he's tracking down a ghost in human form, see through walls and self-cleaning.
(The ectoplasm tracking system is for when they aren't close enough to set off his ghost sense.)
He honestly believes his parents watched a spy movie before they built him these, but it's not like he's going to complain about it. The only time he isn't wearing them is when he goes ghost, you know as a way to not link him to Fenton or whatever.
So, Danny meets John Constantine while the both of them were on the hunt for a ghost who was causing problems in the area. Danny manages to find them first, the ghost in question being an animal who was terrorizing a place because it didn't understand the fact it was dead yet and wanted to protect it's children.
John Constantine comes while Danny is pacifying it. He watches as Danny calms it down enough to get to the babies and sends it to the Ghost Zone after promising it to get them somewhere safe.
John Constantine also saw his eyes, because he pulled his sunglasses off to show them to the ghost as a silent sign to trust him. John Constantine of course asked what he was going to do with the babies, and Danny just sent them over to Sam.
After that he decided to keep an eye on Danny because of his eyes. Which were the eyes of a ghost, and he was genuinely thinking Danny was possessed before that went out the window. So he thinks Danny is a ghost pretending to be human and wasn't able to hide his eyes so he wore sunglasses.
Danny neither confirm nor deny that.
So Danny just kinda followed him around until Constatine eventually made him into a contact whenever he was dealing with ghosts that he could peacefully deal with instead of just forcefully banishing them to the Infinite Realms.
This, eventually, comes to light when Constantine goes "I know a guy." In front of the whole Justice League, bonus points if they somehow come to the conclusion that Danny is Constantine's secret child, sidekick or both.

“Sooooo, what’s with the sunglasses?” Hal asked. It was a fair question in his mind. The sun was already far below the horizon after all.
“Can you be any more insensitive, you blimey yob?” John snapped, tired of the other heroes being so nosy about the kid accompanying him. Oooo, Constantine has a sidekick. The John Constantine has someone helping him without having to be bribed or tricked. Is the little lad actually an illegitimate child? It was only a matter of time. Nosy parkers. They should mind their own business.
Danny could only snort at the exchange, unbothered much like John was indifferent to anything everyone else thought was ‘odd’ about the kid. “Extreme photophobia,” he answered easily, pulling a medical card from his pocket to show the others in a manner that betrayed he’d done this many times before.
“I wasn’t aware contacts needed to divulge their entire medical history to the League for temporary contracts. Any other prying questions unrelated to the matter at hand? ” John snapped, taking a drag on his cigarette and staring pointedly at Hal.
“N’nope. Sorry,” Hal stammered, raising his hands and backing off.
When the rest of the heroes Danny had been asked to assist had scuttled off out of range, Danny took a moment to look up at John. “You know I’m perfectly capable of avoiding questions on my own, yeah?” he prodded, amused at John’s uncharacteristic display of defending him unprompted.
“Don’t get cheeky with me, lad,” John returned. “I’m not opposed to sending you off.”
Danny just chuckled again, reaching up to pull his glasses down a moment while none of the others were looking their way. “Look me in the eyes one more time and tell me you’re the better pick for this, John,” he returned with a smirk.
John could only huff in annoyance, once again unimpressed. “Then get on your way, little devil,” he prodded, gesturing towards the others. Danny could only laugh while pushing the sunglasses back to their proper place.

Danny is reborn as Damian Wayne except he has zero plans of staying as Damien
There was an incident when Danny was 16 that caused him major injuries. in a deal with Clockwork as a way to technically rejuvenate him with no repercussions and as a way to still watch over Amity with full power. he needed to be reborn.
He is reborn back in time as Damian Wayne. Danny has to do certain things as canon events but by the time he reaches 16, he can leave and go back to Amity. which will not have even realized he has been gone.
Danny goes through all the normal plot points like being raised by the League of Assassins and going to train with his father as Robin but instead of treating it as his entire life's purpose he is treating it like a Clockwork mission. Danny has done a lot of missions where no time has changed at all between his leaving and coming back to the present so he is not very concerned.
Unfortunately for Danny he did not think of the loose ends he would leave. The bat family wakes up one morning expecting for Damien to be at breakfast only for him to not show up. They check rooms, Friends and trackers but they cannot find him.
While Danny is reuniting with his friends and about to start his senior year, the entire hero community is trying to figure out where Damian has gone.

That's all I can find for now, my eyes are burning and I've been at this for 3.5 hours.
Danny is, slowly but surely, learning how to own and operate a farm.
He's learning it from his adopted grandfather in the Ghost Zone.
To be fair, it had started out as him getting the shit kicked out of him courtesy of Vlad and his bullshit, and it had ended with the ghost of a farmer effectively kicking Vlad's ass.
That ghost took Danny into his Lair; it was an island, with fields of wheat, acres of space, and a little farmhouse with more rooms on the inside than seemed possible. He patched Danny up, made sure he would be okay, and then said;
"Son, did anyone ever teach you how to throw a punch?"
From there, he learned the farmer's name was Jon, and Jon (Pa, as he preferred) took it upon himself to grandparent the heck out of Danny.
As time passed, and his parents house got increasingly dangerous, Danny started spending more and more time on Pa's farm, and somewhere between learning valuable, useful, life lessons, he also started getting taught how to do farm work.
A year or so later, Pa pulls Danny aside.
"Listen, you still need some pointers occasionally, and that's perfectly fine, but my wife is still alive, and she's gonna need help with the harvest this year. Can you find the time to go make sure she's got it all covered?"
Danny agrees, of course.
Pa gives him a note to give to his wife ("She's gonna want you to call her Ma, if she likes you enough. You're a good kid though, so I think she'll insist."), a note to give to his son ("That boy shoulders far too many responsibilities, my death doesn't need to be one of them."), and a note to give to his grandson ("I just want him to know I'm proud to have him carry on my name."), an address for Danny to go to, and instructions on the general layout of the farm.

Martha is doing morning chores, waiting for Clark and Jon to turn up so she can rope them into helping her with the harvest, when a white haired meta hero appears on her doorstep.
He's got a note from Jon, her Jon, and instructions to help her out on the farm for the harvest.
But Martha can read between the lines.
Jon would know she's got the boys. That, at a moments notice, she could rope in at least two more Supers and maybe a few Bats with the promise of pie. Jon would know that she wouldn't need an extra hand.
He, and it is him, she knows from the letter and the little references in it, sent this boy to her so he would have a safe place.
She just needs to find out if this kid needs a safe place permanently, or just as a backup plan.
So with the DP x DC “Corpses AU” thing, what type of worldbuilding about his corpses do you mean? Like, is it about how he deals with his numerous corpses or about the “why” of the many-corpse situation? I’m curious about both
Also, how long did it take for his parents to find out in this AU (assuming they have)? I feel like the corpses would make things kinda hard to hide, but idk
Oh I'm so glad you asked. The answer is Yes.
Why and How on the Corpses
Danny's corpse is the universe leveling itself out. Its the universe manifesting a counter balance to Danny's death, he's still alive, his heart still beats and he breaths and as Danny that's fine, he's able to tap into his more ghostly side freely while still breathing, still sleeping, functioning as a living person but a little bit off.
But as a ghost there's nothing to keep him human, bada bing bada boom corpse. It's acting as a tether or an anchor, its the thing keeping him stable. The more he transforms the more need there is for the corpses.
But there's also an upper limit on the corpses. Because as much as they are real, they were at one point humans- but they're also the universe fucking around with an anomaly. Normally it taps out at around 10 or 12 corpses, once Danny exceeds the Corpse Limit, the bodies spark and disintegrate (mimicking Danny's death via electrocution)
Also there are two main ways for Danny to get corpsed, either willingly but going ghost and dropping another body or by his human body getting too hurt or verging death where he forcefully gets kicked out. Danny is stuck in a state of liminality, he can't be more dead or more alive so he's gotta even out before he can go back to either form (meaning that Danny can also be forcefully turned into a human when his ghost form is beat to hell and back)
Reveal and Dealing With Corpses
His parents very much did find out and it did not go well. It's very in line with the thinking of 'Phantom is a ghost possessing the body of our son' taken to the absolute extreme. It. Genuinely took longer than Danny thought it would've, he did manage to finish high school or get a good way into 12th grade before he was caught.
Sam, Danny and Tucker upon first corpsing, did what normal teens did and panicked. Then Sam took over, eventually settle on using the old drums that the Fenton parents used to primarily store chemicals, it evolved as Danny needed to transform in different parts of Amity Park so they assigned dump sites for Danny to transform in so that Sam and Tucker could get there and take care of it, or so that Danny would know where to drag his own remains.
His parents found out by witnessing Phantom attempt to hide his own corpse, it went as well as can be expected.
In Gotham Danny is far more sloppy that he was in Amity Park, with his main way of dealing with it being Don't Die or Transform. Problem solved. If he has to actually deal with a body he makes sure its out of site and that at least his hands are frozen down so that nobody makes an attempt to move him before he's got a dump site prepared. He tends to prefer not to deal with the logistics of water burials but dumping them in the river is the best he's got at the moment the au takes place in, too bad the bats are faster than he is.
