It’s been one year since we escaped the real world together and imagined ourselves someplace simpler. With tall tall trees and salt air. Where you’re allowed to wear lace nightgowns that make you look like a Victorian ghost every day & no one will side eye you cause no one is around. I can’t believe I get to work with Aaron Dessner. When Aaron came into my life, I was ushered into his world of free-flowing creativity where you don’t overthink, you just make music. I made these as a way to compile all the geographical vocabulary that I thought was useful and interesting for writers. Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!

Emma In The Night - Book Chat With Eisheeta

I was going through an awful reading dump. Couldn't read past two pages of any book. I tried and failed multiple times. I was gobsmacked. Didn't know how to get out of it and enjoy my life long passion again.

🌛Emma in the night🌜 by Wendy Walker appeared as a saviour, rekindling my spirit and lighting my world. I finished it in one sitting.

Emma in the night is a thriller about two lost sisters, out of which only one comes back. The story gets muddy with an unreliable and manipulative narrator who wants to find her sister Emma, and a psychologist who just can't let go of her instincts to bring justice to these siblings.

Every page elicits new information. It doesn't drawl on. If it's there in the book, it will serve a purpose. Chekhov's gun much!?

It makes you believe in half truths and lies with foreboding. You wait expectantly for every piece to find its place and when they do, *jaws on the floor*!

Let me summarise for you folks: it's 'unputdownable'.

If you like twisted endings, unreliable narrators, and thrillers, pick this book up!

Learning never ends for me! ✨

I have kicked off December by trying my hand in Autodesk's Sketchbook & ended up creating these two pieces depicting my favourite subject - women!

Illustration is an art form that has always intrigued me, and now that I've tested the waters with my toes, I don't think I can resist swimming! Learning about color theory, understanding tools & various aspects of illustrating sure holds a lot of promise.

Sadly, I'm not yet good enough to think of beautiful pieces on my own. I wish we could skip to the rewarding part of our journey, & not see the cringe! But it wouldn't be as much fun, right? So I'm still practicing & trying to find my voice and ideas.

Maybe someday I'll be making covers for my own books, or best case scenario - illustrate posters for myself to hang in my room!

Step through past

I recently visited Sheesh Gumbad in Delhi, and was overwhelmed by the quaint, mammoth structure. I was so inspired I ended up writing a poem after ages! My heart is full. With potpourri of emotions.
