Hardly taking note of Hardheadâs exit - Chromedome remained, unwilling to leave should something happen, quietly talking to Blaster - Max carefully kept a hand over the seeping wound, stemming the flow of energon as best he could. Dwarfing him easily, he slid his other hand under Ejectâs front to prop him up, Maxâs hold allowing him to apply pressure without shoving him into the ground. The fussing didnât shake him off, while it would normally take a great exertion of force to contain him, even from the lead Headmaster.Â
Normally content to remain within their personal communications, Cerebros suggested his bond let him handle the talking. He was anxious, a finial twitching, but Max was reluctant to deny one of his rare requests. Again, Cerebros seized control of their vocaliser, the sheer volume shift causing Rewind to audibly jump. âThree severed fuel lines, exposed circuitry, two snapped cables I can /see/ through the leak, shattered supply reel,â the report was matter-of-fact, Fortressâ tone no less firm than during his previous order.
âDonât fight me, Eject,â swinging back against Cerebros on their hinges, Max flattened the butterfly-esque kibble back, uncomfortable. He wasnât accustomed to being direct, himself. âTake your anger out later, when I canât see your tape guide.â
The anger only boiled quicker as he got the report. One shot did all of that? That was pathetic. He felt pathetic. He made an attempt to look around; it only registered that Rewind had been with him. Was he okay? He had to be fine, if he wasn't, Eject was fully prepared to hunt down those cons as he was and drown them in his own energon. His attempts only seemed to invite the headmaster to assert his authority.
"Fine." Was the only response he could manage to choke out before his systems knocked him out properly.
The next time Eject woke up was in the medbay. He groaned as his vision came online, everything starting up slowly. His HUD gave some preliminary report stating he was stable. As far as HUDs went, his was simple, to the point. He never bothered to get it upgraded, nor did he see a need TO get it upgraded.
Even with the light static that now covered his vision, Eject could tell that the massive mech who had been helping him after he initially got hurt was sitting beside him. The memories slowly clicked into place; being shot, Fort Max yelling at him, blacking out. It all felt like it happened within a second.
