"I’ve seen vampires do worse for less." She shrugged at the ring. Quite a few of Marcel’s group had possessed daylight rings, they showed the hierarchy of his following. What this blonde vampire had traded for this ring, she couldn’t even begin to guess. "And I’m just supposed to believe that?" She chuckled, raising an eyebrow. 

"What makes you so much more impressive?"

"I have no doubts." Witches were a never ending source of shortcuts and could provide vampires with many privileges. Ultimately, they represented power and everyone seemed thirsty for that. "Ah, free will is a funny little thing. You can only believe in whatever you deem fit."
